I honestly agree with the marking. Her movements looked awkward, not natural at all. I wanted to see her use more hip as it seem lacking.

What a catchy song ! I think it was probably her best Latin dance yet. I loved her hip action, it was pretty strong, I loved her body ripples as well. She was into the character, she showed fluidity in her body as well as excellent sense of rhythm. On the negative, she didn't close her feet, and many of the lifts and the transitions weren't smooth enough. Overall, a very decent job. A 6.

She is definitely out of her depth now, her performance skills are nowhere near where they should be by this stage and you can tell she is still dancing by number. Nice enough girl but if she stays in stronger dancers are going to be robbed.

Fed up with judges and their under marking...yes she will not attain the same level as ash or Faye...but look how well she is doing with her disability absolutely inspirational, and she had never danced and is not in show biz...good luck Lauren love you xxx

honestly though. I really love lauren and her personality and I think, for her her disability which I somehow I missed, she is a really good dancer xx
I loved this. I've really enjoyed watching Lauren improve and get more confidence and enjoy herself over the past few weeks.
Oh no. Two weeks now and we see Lauren struggle to get the ‘basics’ of another routine. They let her wear such a short skirt, which cruelly exposed her poor lower body technique for this dance. As a result, AJ seemed desperately trying to cover it up with loads of armography, distracting lifts (allowed in Salsa) and even ‘assisted’ by putting his hands on her hips to ‘rotate’ them the right way. All to no avail. This is once again NOT her dance, alas. 6.5
I do feel she may have reached her peak and we may well see her in the dance-off. That said, I don't think this dance was so much worse than Charles, and would have expected similar scores.
@@annec42 A latin based dance is always going to look worse next to a ballroom, even if both routines are not danced quite well by the celebs. Charles, though he's not a ballroom boy, did get more techniques correct compared with Lauren. The main element of a Salsa is the figure eight hip rotation. She doesn't seem to have much of that going on, so AJ did what other pros would have done, cover, cover, cover.
I would say that the hands on hips were more to do with the fact that they weren’t actually physically able to take up salsa hold due to lauren’s disability, and so to improvise aj placed his hands on her hips in order to maintain contact between them. I didnt think he was neither literally trying to manually rotate her hip nor cover her up, because there were sections where i thought good hip action was displayed, if not entirely consistent.
She is not a Latin girl. Opposite of Charles.
Well she is finally enjoying this experience!. What a difference to the furrowed brows and fixed facial expressions she had in the beginning, now we're seeing pure enjoyment on her face and I love that. Some nice hip action, but it lacked the dynamism and sharp turns of a Salsa. Now I appreciate that her disability is a challenge in a dance that is known for quick rotational moves and lots of complex 'armography' and I think they both did a good job. AJ has largely passed me by as a dancer, but I have really been impressed with the way he has looked after Lauren on the floor - after lifts he places her so gently back down, making sure she has her balance before moving on. I do think Lauren is better in ballroom, her VW has been her best dance so far.
Come on public save the poor girl. She is a girl who’s never dances with a disability of course her level will not be as good as Ashley or Faye. Also she wore a short skirt! The other girls didn’t. This makes everything to do with legs obvious. I think all her dances are amazing and she gives over 100%. If she’s saved she’ll come back better. Please vote Lauren please I love her!

This far into the show someone like her wouldn't be in it she is not to the level of Everyone else I think she has stayed in because of her disability which isn't really fair as its for of her legs In ballroom

Don't get demotivated by those bias judges and their scores girl you're a role model and inspiration to most of us. We all know they want Stacey to win. But it's okay. Just know that you're the best and way better than her. I don't know why they keep on expecting you to balance like everybody else but it's ok you're the best and you rock girl xx 😘

I’m sorry but this girl needs to leave, she’s had a good run but unfortunately other dancers in the competition who have a better dance ability are being voted out of the competition instead which is not fair.

Marinette um yes? Lauren is so stiff and boring, Graeme is entertaining and can actually dance

@@emiliasquires3828 I disagree, Graeme has had one or two good dances but most of them are fairly average and his salsa, jive and couples choice were absolutely horrific,, Lauren clearly isn't comfortable with dances like the salsa and cha cha but on the whole she's far better
Seriously? She does amazingly, tries her best even despite obvious obstacles no-one else has to face, and she's made it this far because (luckily) it's not judged by you.

Props to Lauren for embracing her disability and the improvement since week one is amazing. However, she’s at that stage of the competition where she is obviously nowhere near the standard of the others. She’s had a good run but it’s her time to go. 6 at the most
I love her to bits but this dance wasn’t hers. The lift was amazing but just balance was an issue. I actually did like the rest tho. She is actually good but just parts were bad

There's more than one issue with her still being in the competition. Firstly, she has NO stage presence, like none at all, by week 10 she should have been able to present herself a bit better even if the technique wasn't very good. Secondly, it's almost like she's doing it step by step and never actually dancing it. Thirdly, she's only (in my opinion) had one good week, and that was a couple of weeks ago. Fourthly, she's just not improving, not like Stacey, Joe and Charles, not even as much as Graeme did. Although I feel like her time has run out on Strictly, I do love her, and it always makes me cry when she gets upset on the show so in a way I'm happy when she gets through but then it's annoying when a better dancer leaves.

I thought her arms were nice she had a good rythym and her hip action was ther. I thought she did beautiful lifts, nice figure 8 hip action and a party feel Salsa *8/10* UNDERMARKED
She was v tidy, but lacking in the salsa "feel". I'm worried she'll be in the dance-off this week.

I know Lauren won’t be as good as Ashley or Faye but people better than her have gone when she’s gotten through,I think next week is her week to go(no hate)

She has done a fab job considering she has no prev dance training - keep it up!!
She definitely has dance training....she's been dancing salsa for years.
What score did they get?
She will always be undermarked due to Craig being one of the judges they have picked the final two already and they are Dancers

Graeme nearly fell over in his dance for God's sake!
I honestly don't understand how she's made it this far in the competition. She's an alright dancer but Danny and Kate were better and she's not even likeable. She should go out this week in my opinion
Of course, what are we looking for above anything else in this routine- endlessly pulsating figure of 8 hip rotation and brilliant and confident isolation work. Unfortunately Lauren danced this without much confidence at all and often appeared to simply forget to offer any form of hip action. What dreadful armography too and clunky lifts. At one point I felt like she was just AJ's plaything and he was just spinning her this way and that to make it look like she was doing something, anything. Really, really, Latin is not Lauren's bag. 5.

I can't believe Lauren has got through again! I'm sorry but in the nicest way possible she is not a dancer. She does not put enough emotion into it and doesn't have very good rhythm. She is a nice enough person but this is a dancing competition and better dancers are being knocked out.
If people keep voting for them it just means good dancers will go out and going off ability they should have gone a while back and Danny/Kate should be there instead. I like Lauren but as soon as they get into a dance off they are gone cause they aren’t keeping up with the other contestants
I think this was overmarked if anything. No chemistry, no spark. This is a salsa for God's sake!. Nobody's going to stay long at that party. Competent, but needs more than that at this stage.

She moved her hips better than Joe did this week, yet the scores are infuriatingly different - shame on you, judges.
Oh good God people - stop voting her through will you. It's cruel. She's a lovely sweet girl but she is so out of her depth it's embarrassing now. Just stop voting for her and let her go.

the music and singing was great, doesn’t help the dance whatsoever especially the spanish.

It’s outrageous to me that Lauren got as far as she did this year. Awful dancer. Just awful. I can’t believe she was in the semi-finals and Charles wasn’t. Smh.

I really wanted to love this dance because I like Lauren but sorry this was terrible 🙈
I will sadly admit this is lower then her other dances but all dancers have a dance ( or 2 .... ok more like 5 styles for me but what ever) styles that just dont fit you. And this is hers.BUT she did not deserve to be on the bottem and i am so glad that she made it through.also she always makes good connection to Aj in all her dances. But of course this is comming from a non Professional dancer and more pf a gymnast so im probably looking for different things . And obviously the big one, we all have are own opinions..... ok im done now oh and i kinda ship them...they just would make such a cute pair ok

God, awful music to do a salsa to, that was hard enough to listen to! Aw, I know she was trying hard to show her personality and for herself that probably was the best she could do, but there just wasn't any performance to it. No chemistry with AJ either, just going through the steps in a very "nice" way as Bruno said. Just found it a bit painful to watch.

This dance isn’t memorable. Lauren has been proven to be amazing but I saw nothing good about this dance except AJ and her effort. Also the lifts are great. I think this is better than Graeme and Oti though. My leaderbored
