Who makes a pick guard version as opposed to back plate? Illitch? I have the back plate version on about 10 Strats, (including all my vintage one's except one). It works well enough to use.
expensive tho'. I actually don't mind some hum, keep it out of the way even high gain. Got good at gating it with the knob for gigs. Also not an issue even in front of my laptop, modem and fluorescent lights in the teaching studio. It's just not a big deal to me.
+intrsoul I'm guessing the Large Coil Noise Canceling System (LCNCS) version is the best one (neither). It looks to be the equivalent of the SSC system built into Suhrs, that was confirmed to kill more hum than the backplate version.
Your amp has a grounding problem. It shouldn't be that noisy. Also, some of the hum should go away when you touch metal on the guitar. Not saying the Llitch isn't cool. It's way cool but single coils are not the only source of hum here.
What Les Paul is that?! Awesome. Did you have it refretted?
I'm searching all over the internet for a picture of the back of the trim circuit. Is it just two pots? Are there caps and other resistors as well?
only two tuning resistors .. and a large diameter coil of thin wire .. there is a diagram on the internet ..

Zhook55, the second strat doesn't have the backplate, how did you install the LLitch Noise canceling system without the backplate?
It is in pickguard in this case. there are 3 types: Backplate, Pickguard and coil in channel routed in body of the guitar.
It is a dummy coil with no magnets? in the pickguard. The circuit board has 2 trim pots what are they doing to the dummy coil?

to each his own..)
Wihch pickups on the strat?
So... This is essentially a dummy coil that doesn't have a huge volume drop off?
Yes, the site also has a circuit ..)
Sounds to me like the pickguard version did a better job than the backplate - is that true?
not quite ... .. to a greater extent it depends on the pickups..
thanks!..))

Ну нифига себе и как дорого это обошлось?)
