Couldn't find a tab that was correct, and found your vid. I done exactly what you said in this video lol. Slowed it down and watched what you did, and went from there. Glad to hear you speak after all this time, and that you're still at it and enjoying it. Just keep doing it for you, and having fun. UA-cam can become a chore it you let it. You’re doing a good stuff, I really like your covers and your own music from different bands I’ve been playing guitar for 1 year, and sometime ago I haven’t got any motivation to continue, but when I saw you and your covers and found out that you’ve been playing guitar more like 10 years, and you can play not only guitar, that’s Inspired me and give me a lot of motivation to learning and work tirelessly thank you very much wish you success in life and music, and always remember don’t doubt yourself you’re amazing I know that’s not what you need to hear, but thats my thought, so yes *sorry for mistakes I’m from Russia
@@NightmareSlit that’s amazing!😍 I was inspired by his Marylin Manson cover Kill 4 Me (learned it’s not that hard and it made me so so happy and motivated when I did that, obviously not considering technique or tone or whatever, I’m still a beginner as I haven’t practiced tons since then😅). Not sure if there is Metallica’s Enter Sandman on this channel, but that was another one that kept me learning. It’s always like, I feel in love with a baseline, how it sounds, and don’t care how it’s considered hard or not - I just try to do it and see on the go if it’s making me happy - that’s perhaps all that it is about, guitar/bass just makes you happy🫶 I don’t even know how I got to Ibanez (SR370E bass 2018, sapphire blue to be specific, 4 strings - I guess I read some reviews and decided more or less intuitively, also for the color😂). But it’s a nice one to hold, it fells good - I don’t have a comparison lol. Maybe ask Stitch for any advice since I’m not in the position to give advice haha - just sharing how I got to my instrument :))
@@NicoleEivissa thanks for your detailed answer, i like how you said “just makes you happy” Recently I’ve got opportunity to join band as a solo-guitarists, and I thought that’s good way to get useful experience But I want to play rock or metal and smth like that and they going to play hip hop, soul, r&b As I said I playing guitar almost 1 year, and first song they offered to play together it’s gotten by Slash That pretty hard for me, and the most important, I don’t feel pleasure when I tried to learn this riff, I prefer playing murderdolls, HIM, dope and I like that, really feel pleasure But as I understand they going to play something like that, and I’m not feeling good about it And also I understand that if you want to be a good musician you must learn to play all genres And I just want to know is that normaly to feel this way…
@@NightmareSlit I don’t know, personally I don’t think knowing how to play all genres is something you MUST know, to be a good musician:D I think that’s a myth, not every famous musician has even any official musical education or knows how to read sheets. It’s definitely good to have experiences, to figure out what really speaks to you and (as with for example a job) you get to know clearly what you DON’T want to do and focus on in the future. I have never been in a band so I don’t know how does it work, if it can bills or is just a hobby for you now. Or like, what are your reasons to be in a band that plays stuff you don’t want to play. Being you, I’d just start to record covers of stuff that speaks to you and you enjoy it, even short videos or Instagram reels with parts of songs to have people’s feedback which is also a great motivation. And of course you can meet like-minded people and you never know which ones will be your future band mates, anything can happen!:D Btw. I also have experience with piano. When I was little, I wanted to go to piano lessons - but hated the whole time there as it was so boring, I hated sheets and never learned that stuff:D But I always desired to touch the piano in the kindergarten. Only in my adulthood I re-discovered this passion and started to learn melodies on my own with first a basic electronic and then digital piano that sounded finally more like the acoustic one. Just typed if there is a Synthesia manual on youtube to follow (it’s like this stuff where it shows which key on the keyboard to press). :D I do love multiple genres from classical, latino to heavy metal when there is mood for each one, but it’s always specific songs/melodies that I enjoy in that moment. I would just say it’s normal to feel this way, that you don’t enjoy playing something. If it’s playing for some money you need, you can stay there a while and maybe do something as I said youtube covers, IG reels, something even small to share with people, that you love to play, otherwise I don’t see a reason to play something you don’t enjoy 🤔
