Not sure if I'm missing something or not, but is there not an option to add all apps in an update-only deployment like in the normal PmPC? Or detect which apps are installed on all Intune managed devices?
Today, there is no feature within the cloud portal to mass deploy updates based on device inventory like there is within the Patch My PC Publisher. We are aware of the need for this, and it will be available in a future release, but there is no ETA at this time.
Can you make changes to apps that PMPC deploys thought the Intune portal or is that not advisable?
You can make changes to the apps directly in Intune, but there is no guarantee that the changes you make will be carried over to a new version. Hope this helps!
What's the difference between on prem and cloud versions?
Onprem is self hosted, you install the software and the workflows run on your hardware. Cloud is hosted by us. We handle the whole workflow for you. Hope this helps!
You're welcome to schedule a live demo with an Engineer on our team, and they can walk you through those differences. patchmypc.com/schedule-live-demo
We have just renewed our on prem version, was wondering if there was any more functionality with the cloud hosted version over the on prem.
