Learned the pedal thread many many years ago as a kid. In our neighborhood there was a lot of kids working on bikes. Learned a lot about that kind of stuff back in the day. I wonder if kids do that kind of stuff anymore 🤔
I can speak to college student kids....and the answer is no. Scout kids....fewer and fewer. Kids in the suburbs? There must be a few..... ( On a different note. I assemble new bikes....the quality of these particular bikes is good. The pedals thread in with just your finger tips. A pedal wrench just adds torque to complete the process. Fast forward, A guy who bought one of these bikes later took it into a bike shop for service and upgrades to the pedals. He said the bike shop staff told him that we ( me ) put in the pedals reversed. Which to me was funny but etiquette didn't allow me to say much. Looks like we can take kids that grow up to work in bike shops off the list of people who worked on bikes...as kids )
#18👍🏼 I always had a spare chain and inner tube when I rode my mountain bike. (21 speed, Diamond Back. Neon orange! 🧡) Rode that baby from Manzanita, Oregon all the way down to Eureka, California! The ride of a lifetime! Could fix them quick in a pinch. 😊 Have a great week!
tHank you sir....A lot of people joined after you. That means we can celebrate together! tHanks and have a super Sunday ( should be a little past tense...but you know what I mean ).
That was very awesome, like the pedal trick and mowing the roof lol, I thought to see you mow the airport runway next 🤣🤣🤣😂congratulations on 800 subs my friend
Hej hej! How are you? The roof took so long that I was running out of daylight. I like your airport idea. ( I think my 100th video had the airport I could have used ). tHank you very much for watching!!!!!
I have a neighbor who bought the tools, and parts from a closed bicycle shop. He was fixing discarded bicycles for needy children. Business is slow lately. I don't know if there's a shortage of parts, or discarded bicycles. tHank you.
A few weeks back I went to Bikes for the World. I used to transfer bikes for them. They celebrated 200,000 bikes being collected and shipped off to countries where they are used as transportation. I know bike sales are very slow in the bike shop world. To the point where some are in a panic. I like the ease and satisfaction of fixing a bike and then passing it along to someone. I wish I could fix my trucks with the same ease. Have a super Sunday!
It seems to work very well. Have you noticed how the carb is mounted? Rather how things have changed and how the carb is made of plastics? I'm not used to that just yet. tHanks for stopping in!
Great fix, I would have never figured out those pedals. Overfilled the oil a little did they? The lengths you go to, to provide us with valuable entertainment is very much appreciated! Oh, and so glad to see you wearing your PPE while mowing, especially the roof! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yes, I took to heart all the advice about safety. You won't catch me doing anything risky, no sir. Have a spectacular week. I haven't checked but I hope we have some warm outside days coming...and I hope you do too!
Hej there! No kidding.... tHank you very much for watching. I added IKEA at the last minute for Timeflysintheshop, I didn't think he would even see it. Have a super Sunday!
Nice video Buddy! We were always scrounging bikes and fixing them up to ride. Good for ya helping out your tenants too. Good for keeping them in there and it's good to help others when you can. Keeps the world a little better. Take care my friend.
tHank you. Your comment means a lot. I like to think that during bad times if I still am generous with my time and giving...then problems don't control my character; I do.
I never knew bike pedals had a left and right designation. 👍 That looks like the same helmet BSL wore while riding the horizontally challenged bus in his younger years. 😲
it is! I borrowed it for filming. Which reminds me...the deal was to wipe off the outside and fill the inside with donuts. tHanks for stopping by! What does Sunday have in store for you?
🤣👍🏼🤣 been redoing the utility room and should finish it up today. Need to put a storage cabinet together and then unclog a slow drain from the washing mashing dump pipe. Besides that just relaxing. 😳👍🏼
@@Big_Johns I love that kind of work...especially at home. ( That doesn't mean I get to it...at my home ) I did a bunch of doors in a house and other more impressive jobs for a lady. All went well. But one day she asked for a countertop to be installed next to a washer and dryer. I cut in a small piece and added cleats to the back wall and made lets to support it. Then I cut in a spot where she could drop a trash can. Like a sink cut out but for a small plastic trashcan. That one idea I gave her sent her over the moon. Make like a lawn man and enjoy the afternoon relaxing.
It's the little things that are so special to some, glad you made her day brother. So I need to get a dozen krispy kremes and draw something outlandish.... cool. 🤣
@@Big_Johns ( just get the dozen and hold off on the second part. No sense upsetting everyone else's afternoon with some uninterpretable hieroglyphics )
That would be a good idea. John was just mentioning that...Big Son's needs to make a few videos on how to screw in a pedal.....to offset all the videos he made on how to screw things up.
Good info on the petals. Cool bike too. You have the best luck finding things. I get lucky sometimes but you my friend, You are the best. Have a good week.
How's the saying go? If you talk to yourself it is okay.....it is when the voices start talking back....that's when you have problems. What's the week look like for you? Is the big truck doing anything fun?
Hello your Materness, . You are correct. This was filmed right after I got my computer organized and up and editing again. Nearly every shot I got on the first try ( had to switch cameras ). While I was filming I got to use an estate sale tripod which made me smile; that puppy works well. and....as you point out, I was laughing a bunch. ( You know that laugh when nobody is with you and people are looking and can hear.....so they back further away, laugh ).
Good fixes, nice to see you're taking garden duties seriously. I was getting over confident while strimming yesterday and got some foliage in my eye, if only you'd posted this video a couple of days ago! It really hurt too.
ufff, I feel for you. I hope that eye feels better soon! If you end up walking down the street and constantly blinking.... You are going to have a line of pretty young girls following you home. Then, you will really have problems.
Funny how people can't understand right hand thread and left hand thread.. swap the crank arms from side to side, see how long it takes for the peddles to fall off.. Lol.. fill means full, right?? You should have ridden the bike to mow the roof 🤔😎

Bike rescue! Now we need to put that mower engine on the bike and make it go.
I read this comment without seeing WHO wrote it. 😂 LMBO
Saw NMG...😮
WHAT ARE THE ODDS!! 🩷
I have that model of mower.
It seems to work very well. Have you noticed how the carb is mounted? Rather how things have changed and how the carb is made of plastics?

I had several mountain bikes some years back! Imagine BSL on the Mountain bike circut what a time! Tried to hop a log and dislocated my shoulder 😮😢
So the chased a grizzly bear away and slipped on a rock ....was just a story?
@Dancing_Alone_wRentals 🫡🐻
You come up with craziest ideas. On the roof? I love it!

tHank you....very kind words
Nice work, brother. I definitely couldn’t fix that bike, but I know you can!
Hej there! Great to see you..
...take a seat, stick around a bit.
Have a super super super week
That’s one way to keep the moss at bay on the roof! Trim it down! 😎
My thoughts exactly!
What do you think about this warm weather? I'm good with it all month.
Very cool trick that I should try to remember, if I ever ride a bicycle again.
I'm sure glad that you aren't crazy enough to chat with a camera. 😂

You need to take a vacation in the spring and check out this area.
Amazing what people push to the curb.

Hello my friend 😊
Hej there sir! We've been having warm days...we are holding onto our warm weather for as long as possible before turning it over to you.
all the oil!

That's crazy...Who rides a bike on a roof.
Get some rest..
