Funny thing is it would 100% be in a deadpan tone of voice with 0 emotion behind it. Just a monotone ass "weeeeeeee" as he flies along.
IMO that'd make it even funnier than hearing him actually be somewhat excited to ride a pod racer again, because let's be honest, Vader hardly ever gets excited about anything and the few times that he has, his dark side snapped him back into his brooding trance shortly after.
Vader is not one for joy and happiness. He gave that up when he turned on his friends and family. (I say family because of Padame and Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan will always be like a brother to him. He loved him.)

You know that man had a faint smile riding that pod racer.
The struggle was always apparent. Even when Vader was at his most rotten, Anakin could still spring forth. There was always good lurking in him, even in his darkest hour.
That is so cool. Having Vader going from Anakin to Vader back and forth shows you that at the end of the day Vader was in control to a certain extent Anakin could always shine through the evilness and bring peace.
That's kind of the whole point, he does genocides but he cannot ever shake off his personal journey despite palpatine's efforts, it's these moments what Luke saw in him during the scene on Endor.
I always took Vaders' accension allegorically. Vader is a facade that Anakin hides behind b/c of the shame, guilt, and rage of his actions. "I didn't do it. Vader did." That's why we see him break character unexpectedly. On a few occasions he even does so in purpose. Hiding in plain sight.

People forget the Dark Side is _corrupting._ It twists all a person is. Turns defending oneself into excercising one's power and making an example of the other person. Turns the concerned horror of a loved one into betrayal. The refusal of an old friend a plot to kill you.
Vader _is_ Anakin, and also a persona. But not one of guilt. It's Anakin where every emotion, every external and internal stimulus, every thought, is filtered through a corruptive psychic miasma to warp the resultant thoughts, views, and actions into the worst possible versions of Anakin.
The positives present in Vader are those qualities that held strong enough they couldn't be completely twisted and warped. He still retained some sense of loyalty to those who didn't betray him (remember above twisted perceptions), and he still loved his son with everything his warped heart could muster, even as he lashed out and maimed him, and feared for what the Emperor would do to him, and looked upon the possibility of ruling the galaxy as a family with the closest his warped mind could approximate joy and hope.
Well he only became Vader to safe the one he loved in the First Place the thing that made him Vader was Palpatine by giving him the name and suit to have him under his thumb. But inside it was still the Anakin you know the young kid that would rip the whole Universe apart to protect the ones closest to him and his heart.
Tatoinne, the only place that could make him relapse to Anakin for a while.
Might be why he avoided the place XD

No matter how many mechanical parts replace the body nothing can ever replace the soul. Crazy how Darth Vader shows so much empathy if anything the mask only helped him hide his pain. I can only see tears falling from his eyes seeing his old friends still alive and well especially considering they started out as slaves. Crazy where the world takes us just to have us see how much time truly passed along the journey.

Anakin/Darth Vader truly is one of the most tragic character's in cinema. He grew up a slave boy, on a desolate planet with two suns to a slave mother. Gets a once in a lifetime chance but has to leave his mother behind. Finds the love of his life but conflicts with his jedi knighthood and her career. His mother is killed but tuskens and he slaughters a village of them. Then out of paranoia and fear out of losing another woman in his life, he commits genocide against his own people, the jedi and essentially kills his pregnant wife while believing hes taking course to prevent it. Gets bested by his best friend/mentor suffering numerous amputations and severe burns. Its heartbreaking all around. I wish Anakin and Padme couldve had their happy ending.
At least he still had a bit of honour.

Vader had a sense of honor and loyalty, twisted as most of him was. The 501st adored him, and viewed the day they were permanently assigned to him as the finest day of their lives. And he showed them the same loyalty on Hoth as Vader as he did on Cato Nemodia as Anakin.

Much as I dislike a lot of what Disney has done to Star Wars, characterising Vader as a man who deals with the struggle of light and dark AFTER having the suit put on is good character development. It's not like Anakin was just deleted the moment he found out Padme was dead.
That was all George Lucas though. There’s a book set right after Vader is in the suit and is able to start walking. He hears voices he believes are anakin somewhere. He has to use to the force just to move his prosthetic legs. He is never not in pain.
