- I had spent half a day in Kolkata before proceeding for Port Blair, during this time we met subscribers in the city and also enjoyed street food along with traditional Bengali food in the dinner.
Date of journey - 8th of Oct 2023
Below are the activities we did during the day.
In the evening we did a meetup with our subscribers.
After that we went to Kusum Rolls, one of the oldest shops of Kolkata since 1971. This shop is famous for rolls, kebabs, sandwiches and more.

Roaming in Kolkata reminds me of the old days when I visited Kolkata in 2018 for a video shoot.

Prince Restaurant - This place is famous for Bengali food. We had dinner here.
Kochu Chingri - Rs 100
Aloo Gobi - Rs 50
Bhetki Paturi - Rs 280
After this we went to our hotel and ended our day.

I suggest that you must visit Kolkata again and explore places and food in detail. When in Kolkata, visiting Park street, flury's and Coffee House is a must. Before visiting do read the book ' Longing Belonging ' by Bishwanath Ghosh. A very interesting book on Kolkata.

Main restaurant, ( which is at Morbi ) of "Thakar lodge" where you had a lunch at Rajkot, has a tradition like Prince. This restaurant is very old. Good episode enjoyed.

There's a restaurant in Eluru in Andhra pradesh "Applaraju Milatary Hotel" where their Menu card is their curries brought to choose.
One more restaurant run by only ladies in Coimbatore also follows this concept

Those who are fond of sweets. Keep in mind.. No problem one can take every day.
Just add one sweet in your lunch /dinner and eat it in between of lunch. Not in the starin and not at the end of lunch/dinner.
