I’ve lived in hereford my whole life, and I’d consider myself a young person. Seeing these events of the past and picturing them in the town seems incredible to me. How these people once lived the ordinary lives we now live, but it’s all otherworldly. Can’t find the words but really makes you think. Fantastic video. 👍

My great grandparents came from Ocle Pychard near Hereford. Great grannie was a Bevan so NHS ?. In 1872, the new abundance of cheap agricultural produce from the American Midwest caused a deep agricultural recession in England, especially Hereford etc... My great grandparents lost everything so they headed North to the grim mIlls of Yorkshire. Go forward a few years and I was born a Yorkshireman... Then I emigrated to Wisconsin in the American Midwest and became a millionaire... The circle is complete. ps In the Census of 1870, my great granddad shared a room in Ocle Pychard with a cowboy !

Sadly the City is a shadow of it's former self. Years of various councils dithering over plans for certain things or just making decisions that have the population scratching their heads have brought this City, which at one point had character, vibrancy, was clean and full of people who were proud to live here, to a level that is sad to see.

Excellent! I took part in what was probably the last ever City carnival in the late 1990s.

I know. It’s rare to find a fully truly beautiful little English town now a days. I feel sorry for our country.

@@Shane-mp8nz The same here, Shane. The life has been sucked out of our once great country.

True... and I love all of the Union Jack waving in the video when we were proud... it is as if we are not allowed to do that anymore. The left/woke have ruined this country.
