There's a really interesting video of Tadahiro Nomura coaching Hifumi Abe a short time after the latter failed to qualify for the Rio Olympics. I think most viewers go into it expecting some kind of high-level analysis of Abe's game, but Nomura's main observation was Abe making exactly this sort of mistake...

I remember seeing that video. I believe his Nomura's explanation to Abe was that he was gripping too low on the lapel, and instead should have been putting pressure near the collarbone? Either way, it's great to see footage of these great champions showing their pointers!
