MTH made the hobby what it is today. Sadly I don’t know why he couldn’t just name a successor to take over and just sit back and collect a check. Hopefully all the tooling gets saved.
What I was told from the owner of my local train shop is that Lionel was watching every move that Mike Wolfe with MTH and that it had gotten to the point where Mike Wolfe was in fear to where he couldn't do anything as far as with the company because he was afraid of Lionel suing him for anything he would have done with MTH Lionel talks transparency Lionel says they welcome competition but do they really welcome competition
@@benjamindminor7552 Why? It's true. Sad but they really don't care if you need anything repaired. They especially treated him poorly. Have you seen his layout, and all of the MTH equipment he purchased??!! Doesn't make any sense why any company would treat a loyal customer that way. Go watch his channel, and listen to his viewpoint, before you just tell someone to "piss off". We're in this hobby to have fun and encourage each other, not bash people. Come on we have enough of that bashing and treating people like crap attitude in the world. You adding to it isn't helping anything.
