The example of Martin Luther is an incredible counter to any who say the Church is hateful. Religion can be systematically misused for evil, but Scripture always holds the Truth that evil flees from.
There's some very slim evidence (from Melanchthon) that the theses were posted on the chapel door (not nailed). But Melanchthon didn't come to Wittenberg until 1518, so he can't have witnessed what he mentioned. The earliest representation of this event, from 1617, shows Luther writing with a pen on the door (not hammering). All we know is that the theses are dated 31 October 1517. But we have no evidence of their circulation until early November 1517.
THIS LIFE therefore is not righteousness, but growth in righteousness, not health, but healing, not being but becoming, not rest but exercise. We are not yet what we shall be, but we are growing toward it, the process is not yet finished, but it is going on, this is not the end, but it is the road. All does not yet gleam in glory, but all is being purified. -Martin Luther
Our righteousness is as filthy rags we have to be covered by the blood for the forgiveness of sin And yes there is salvation and you can 100% know Because you can have a relationship with Jesus 🥰🥰🥰
Luther: Scripture is infallible. Also Luther: *Proceeds to Remove Tobias, Judith, Baruch, Ecclesiasticus, Wisdom, First and Second Macabees, Esther, Daniel, Jude, Hebrews and Revelation*
Such is true Steffan Lund. FACTS however that is not the point. He brought the Bible to the hands of the German and further the European continent, who at that time were not able to read the word of God without the dictation through the Roman Catholic Church. It allowed the everyday person (in Germany and later other areas in Europe) to have firsthand access to read the word of God for themselves. (To have been denied that right in the first place, 🤦♀️Pitiful right?!) Forever changing the religious dominance the RCC had over One's own relationship and discernment of God.
Luther was quite facile in Latin, but even his own fellow Protestant leaders had issues with his Translation from the Greek, which he was not well versed in. For some words he simply translated the wrong words, if the greek word he was translating looked similar to a German word. Yes it's true that he deleted seven OT Books, and in his first NT seven from the New. It was his fellow Protestant leaders again who forced him to replace those seven books and remove the addition to Alone, changing the text to say that we are saved by Faith (Alone). Another myth in this video is that Later the Bible was translated into French Spanish English and other languages because of Luther. The truth is there have been English Translations as far back as Venerable Bede and before him in the 600s Aldhelm, Bishop of Sherborne translated the texts, however monks had translated into Celtic and Old and Middle English prior to these. There were at the time of Luther's Birth 27 different translations of the BIble either in part or entire approved for Catholic readers in High Low and Middle German. (I have a page from one printed when Luther was only 4 years old framed on my wall, In Low German.) There were also editions in Spanish Italian and French, as well as Bohemian prior to Luther's birth. The Catholic Church did condemn the translating of the Bible by those not trained in the Latin and Greek as many were mistranslated, just as Luther's translation was. For the illiterate, there were what were called the Pauper's Bibles. These were books of "Picture Bibles" which told the Bible stories both OT and NT in picture form. At the same time when the great Cathedrals of Europe were constructed and most of the Churches in Europe had pictural scenes of Bible Stories along the walls of the buildings. If you visit French and German Cathedrals in areas that did not become Protestant, you can still see remnants of the pigments if you get up close to the inside walls. In the Cathedrals and Churches of Protestant areas, you won't see them because they were either stripped from the walls, or painted over with whitewash. In Amsterdam you can see some of the Biblical and other religious paintings in the Old Cathedral that were painted over by the Protestants when they took possession of the Church. In the past 30-40 years they have been revealed, when some of the whitewash was removed.
Big question if not Catholic who’s translation out of the over 30,000 Christian denominations are correct! Martin Luther changed Bible passages and the Protestant reformation also took out 7 books in the Bible! If I was a Protestant I would be very concerned! It crazy that after over 1500 years then you put the interpretation of the Bible into the hands of the layman and expect it to be true and be the real intent of God! False prophets and misleading dogma doesn’t seem very safe if the intent is to go heaven!
The Waldensians of Norther Italy were preaching right out of the Bible memorizing it in full some 300 years before Luther. But those sainted people could never have stormed the Roman Castle. That would require a different set of circumstances.
So true he never wanted to leave the Catholic church instead he was to bring God teachings back to the church but the pope refuse to listen and instead of listening to Luther the pope instead kicks Luther out of the church and falsely accused Luther of being a heretic even tho Luther back up every claim he made with scripture yet the pope refuse to listen. The pope didn't like his power being challenged by Martin Luther.
@@SouthernRebels94 Well Autocratic theocratic society is backwards and oppressive, so it was good that it happens. Not that Secular Autocratic society is any better despite being more developed, its just lack of rights that sucks
Sunni Islam still lives like Catholicism, interms of Autocratic theocratic society. Cant say its a world i care much about. Science for example only worked in early stages before fundamentalism killed it in 1200 AD. Devotion culture just kills any intellectual part of society, and Autocracy strangles any actual freedom of the press or speech.
Without Catholicism the West would not exist. Please read 'How the Irish Saved Civilisation''. The Blessed mother Mary and St Michael are the reason why I became Catholic. I was an intellectual pagan, into the esoteric, and found myself enamoured with Mary and Michael. I wanted to practice some sort of pseudo-santeria and worship them like a pagan would Apollo. But in the course of a month after that point, I found myself drawn to the Church and entered RCIA by January 2018. It's been a huge change in my life, coming from a background not just of paganism, but atheism and satanism before that. And I have Our Lady and St Michael to thank for that. I sought to worship them in themselves, but, as the saints all tell us, they pointed me directly to Christ. And now, I'm a devout Latin Mass attending, rosary-slinging, Roman Catholic.
It is important to now finish the reformation Martin Luther started. Jesus Christ came to preach the gospel of the Kingdom of God. He didn't proclaim Himself to be God, but instead was the promised Messiah. What is called 'Christianity' has nothing to do with following the Jesus Christ of the Bible. Churches preach fake gospels a trinitarian fake god (violation of Jesus commandment) and man made traditions. Watch our channel and speak out on this injustice.
The pure gospel on the flat earth 1John 2:22 “Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist--denying the Father and the Son.”
The pure gospel on the flat earth John 14:9 Jesus answered: "Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'?
Exactly. And trinitarians are doing that all the time by rejecting that He is the annointed one, the Messiah. Instead they make Him to be the annointer and the annointed one at the same time. So in their model, there is no real distinction and no real relationship between the Father and the Son.

Exactly what I thought. It was no legend.

Wasn’t there another guy before Martin as well that started Protestantism or something
I think your referring to William Tyndall that was around while Martin Luther was around who also helped with the reformation
Tyndall was in England but but he was a messager noooooooooo.
But Luther did in Dutch Germany.. and he was a messager
Thanks
Actually there were many translations of the Bible before Luther's version.
