Not only was Taka good friends with Chester. It's been said that the moment of silence was for Chester, and the emotion was for his passing. I cry every time. And, the respect I have for the Japanese audience to give him that moment of silence in a sold out and packed concert. I love what this band stands for, and I am proud to call myself a fan. 😢❤
I heard from a Japanese fan that this concert was before Chester passed. The moment of silence was a part of the song. I thought it was about Chester myself.
One of the absolutely scariest things about this performance is that there's between 50-55k people in that stadium (rivaling if not more than Madison Square Garden). It's one thing to have a moment of pure silence for that long, but to have the entire crowd sing along in the end for as long as they did. It's something I've never seen, it's one of those memorable performances and moments caught on film. Speaking of which, One Ok Rock's "We Are" 18Fes, with a literal chorus of a thousand 18 year olds in a single room.
Taka (the vocal) has a big respect for Chester and LP loved this band too. In 2017 they planned to touring with LP as an opening act, but sadly Chester passed away right before that. I really wish we could see them live together.
Yea, evidently this show was supposed to have LP with them, which is why the full show is around 2 hours
Taka is a huge Linkin Park fan, they were supposed to tour with them unfortunately the year he passed, Taka has said that Chester is the reason he became a vocalists for One ok Rock

I can't 😭😭 like I listened this song for the first time and I loved it💯, I cried too... coz he had that pain in his voice, like dude😭😭 and as I'm a music lover I'm gonna hear more from them coz they are sooo good👏👏, not to mention the guy who is singing and showering his beautiful vocals, he was giving me the pleasure and pain at the same time 🥺💜💜

I only know two of their songs "We are" and "Vandalize" and I love the songs. I haven't gone through their entire discography yet, but I will for sure. Han is a fan of theirs 😇 🥰

Thanks so much for your reaction! The song hits even harder when you know that it was true… Taka and his parents had a huge falling out and he actually ran away from home. Being with this kind of crowd is really an experience. I myself witnessed and felt this last April. I am not sure if you're done reacting to We Are Ambitions Japan Dome tour. That's one of the most highly recommended when reacting to One Ok Rock. Another one is Clock Strikes live in Yokohama Stadium.
One Ok Rock is the most unique and awe inspiring band I know, I love being a fan of theirs, i would definitely recommend "wasted nights" (live performance), "stand out fit in", "cry out", and "Change". I love your reactions Pagan, thank you so much for all of your hard work!!

One Ok Rock is always best live. My favorites of their work is the Yokohama concert, Mighty Long Fall, Clock Strikes and We Are.
I was lucky enough to see them live in one of their US tours and Chester’s passing was very recent. They had a moment of silence in their set that was quite a beautiful moment followed by Taka singing Shadow of the Day I think (several years ago) but it was breathtaking.
Would definitely recommend One Way Ticket and Fight The Night.
I saw these guys in Dallas in 2016 on my birthday and it was a pretty small club...Dallas House of Blues. It's been awesome to see how far they've come. They are just amazing.
His parents and brother are also singers. His parents are top performers in the Japanese enka genre.
They should be more famous in the western world than they are. His voice is incredible.

Having been a fan of Linkin Park myself, I did have the honour of seeing them live about 13yrs ago. I now have to see these guys live, I'm obsessed with that man's voice.

There are some fancams of them covering One More Light in honor of Chester during their 2017(?) North American tour. The song they played right after, I believe, was Take What You Want. So some think the moment of silence was also in Chester's honor.

You mentioned Linkin Park. I went to the Ambitions tour concert in 2017. Towards the end of the tour they were supposed to open for Linkin Park, unfortunately that obviously didn't happen. During the concert they switched out one of the songs for One More Light. It's the only song I was able to record well that night because I was moving too much during the rest.
