I've been looking for good jewelry packaging ideas for so long and yours is the easiest and cleanest. i love it
One day if I open a shop, I'll remember these tips ^-^ Great idea with the little plastic baggy to hold the rest of the necklace chain.
You look so excited about this. It makes me happy that people can be so happy about things that make other people happy. Does that make sense?
I liked your excitement about your craft, your detail and precision to produce quality products
I'm stunned - I would never have expected that you would do all this by yourself - but it is totally worth it - it looks amazing!
FliederimHaar Thank you! It's what I do. Lots of work, but it's work I love. :)
Just started an etsy shop for paper jewelry and was searching for some cute packaging methods, This is awesome, subscribing right away!!!
Both the necklaces and packages look so great! I love how much detail goes into your stuff!
These cute packages are perfect for your cute necklaces!!!
Thank you very much for making this video. You've opened my eyes to an alternative to simple plastic bag packaging and made me realize what a great effect packaging has on the acceptance and demand of a product in the market.
As always, it's great to see your smiling face in my sub box. I have to admit that your crafts aren't really things I would buy, but that doesn't stop me from watching every single video. Your bubbly personality and that infectious smile just make me so happy.
Super cute jewelry box DIY branding project!
you're just amazing. short concise videos that get the job done!
I'm really loving all these videos right now because my sister and I are starting a crafting business together to sell at conventions and on etsy. We crochet mostly but are going to teach ourselves to knit to make things like Weasley sweaters and also eventually sell Disneybounding jewelry and accessories. =)
I'm always so happy when I see a new video from you in my subscription box :)
WiseHufflepuff Aww, thank you! Comments like yours make me happy too. :)
So adorable! I think I'm buying one for my sister for Christmas...now to decide which one....
Ooh! I love the lace trim on your sweater. The fact that you put so much thought into your branding and packaging is so wonderful. Everything looks really, really nice!
AHH I needed this tutorial! I've been selling on Etsy for a while, but I'm just now getting more serious about branding, and up-ing my packaging game. The finished product is gorgeous and so creative! And the necklaces are beautiful!
You do awesome work! you inspired me to make my own packaging boxes which I now find to be half the fun of creating!
Thank you so much for your branding idea's and tips!!!
I love the way you talk✨
Thanks for video
Goodness! You put so much effort into your products and store. Definitely a role model for people in similar businesses. :)
Such cute packaging and I love the necklaces. :) thanks for sharing the process.
Ps. Love your top!!
Man, you are so lively!
I'm going to try to buy one of those necklaces! They are so cute!
Those are great ideas! I love them!
You look so happy and cheerful! I really like you and wish you the best of luck ❤
Love your energy!
I'm really hoping to get the hedwig and ravenclaw necklaces for Christmas. And if I don't get them then I'll just have to buy them myself, they're adorable. I love how much thought and care you put into the tiny details.
I love your branding videos! You have such great ideas. These videos have helped me out so much with my Etsy shop's branding
That is so cute!
I just received the Ravenclaw one that I bought for my friend for Christmas! The details in the packaging makes it look so special... I can't wait to give it to her! :) Thanks for making it look so gift worthy. (I mean, also the necklace itself is super cute!! I might have to go back and get myself one too... maybe Hedwig!!) :)
What a tutorial! So helpful! I love how creative you are. ❤ Thank you so much! You just gave me an idea for my necklace :)
Thanks for so much info and getting to the point. Great idea!
this is the definition of cute, excellent for a christmas gift! thanks for sharing!
I really enjoy watching your videos, because you look so happy! And they never fails to brighten my day :)
So please make more! (And I really like your DIYs)
A happy French subscriber :)
Philippine de Dinechin That makes me so happy! Thank you for leaving such a nice comment. :)
Here's a tip for stamping on small box lids: Use a piece of scrap wood cut to the inside dimension of the box (ask friends if you don't have the tools). Put the box over the wood and it will provide a solid surface to the lid when you push down with the stamp.
I love all your branding videos. When you first showed off your new jewelry I immediately thought the boxes were super adorable. The stamp not working out initially was fortunate as the blue card sock design you have looks fantastic. I need to buy one of your necklaces for someone so I can keep the box. :D
Very cute idea! Thanks for sharing. Your products are adorable! :)
So cute!
Thanks so much for this video, Lauren. Really helpful!
***** You're welcome! I'm happy that I could help. Thanks for watching! :D
Awesome! thank you so much for making this video!
Hey lauren i absolutely loved your branding series, i wish there was a video on how to make display cards on photoshop or illustrator. thank you very much
Loved this video! This is exactly what I've been looking for. What are your card stock dimensions once they've been cut?
I love your personality
This was really really helpful, thanks 😁
Hey! I just discovered your videos via Patreon! I wanted to say I think you and your videos are lovely! :D
Pretty cool! Thanks!!
so cute! i really want to get one! :)
Excellent... Love this video
Thank you Lauren♥️
Thanks so much for your help
I bought a hufflepuff necklace and it is my new favorite piece of jewelry. Everything is crafted cleanly and Lauren's packaging is adorable. I bought a ravenclaw one for a friend and it's pretty much ready to be gifted as is. Thanks Lauren! =^-^=
Dunia Anwar Aww, thank you so much! I'm so happy to hear that you like the necklaces.
I saw the Slyterin weapon on a necklace!!!! Jeeej best of all!
I love your branding videos and your energy is so positive and contagious I couldn’t help but smile all the way through with you ! #newsubbie
Well done!
hello.. i love your personality , channel and videos... thanks fro making videos like these :)
Lauren, your necklaces are so sweet! Both me and my sister are Hufflepuffs, so we will definitely be asking for your necklace for Christmas. We're planning to wear them as kind of cute friendship necklaces. Thank you so much for making it! :) xx
How do you go about making your necklaces? I love your videos and they inspired me to start my own Etsy shop and I have a ton of ideas but I don't know how to go about doing it. Please help!
So cute! I do the tiny ziplock bag thing too :p
I'm just starting my own etsy, and I tried to do the same thing with the stamp! I just put a little peice of wood under the lid though and stuck with the stamps because I think they fit with my shops brand a little better!
Hey friend! Great video. What printer you use for printing the card stock paper?😞💜
Awesome 😍
Cute box
you are brilliant and precious!
You look so happy I'm jealous
I'm going to buy something from you sooooon!
Mind I ask if you have any suggestions for places I can create my own custom jewelry like you do?
its 2020 and this video helps me never say a video is " too old" 😂
Yay!! You posted a video! By the way, you have no clue how special it was for you to wish me happy birthday yesterday. I went to school soon after I sent the tweet, and then, after school was out, I turned on my phone to see that you had said happy birthday. You are one of my favorite UA-camrs and for you to think of me (it didn't take a LOT of time or thought, considering you were tagged in a tweet, but it's still sweet) really means a lot. You are a great role model to me and I look forward to seeing more of your videos
~Autumn
P.S. Are you getting any of the perks for the TSWGO fundraiser? I'm probably gonna get a Hanklerfish postcard and one of the Amigurumi stars.
Cool
what size card stock do you use to hang your jewelry?
Omg I love how this looks!!!!! Excellent tips!!! Any tips on how to make a display card for a pendant without a necklace?
I haven't tried this out personally, but I imagine if you punch two tiny holes at the top (one on top of the other), you could thread in a short twist tie and attach the loop of the pendant to that. It'll probably take some testing to get it right!
Lauren Fairweather I actually practiced last night and did the two holes with the slits and threaded some thin ribbon through the pendant and into the slits and just taped the ribbon to the back of the card!!
What weight is your card stock? My jewelry is a bit heavier than what you showed. Thanks
Could you update the link for the box from Uline - I noticed that box size is not coming up. Perhaps they changed their stock numbers. Thanks!
Sooo well done, efgivient and to the pimt
These boxes are so cute! Do you use bigger envelope to send them? (I saw the envelopes you use for the plushies in your other etsy packaging video)
Hello. What items do you use to protect them for shipping and the actual shipping supplies? Do you wrap the boxes in bubble wrap first, then place them inside of a bubble mailer or some type of shipping box? Thanks in advance!
You are adorable!!
u should have your own craft show :)
Where do you get your boxes to put the necklaces in? Also I love your branding videos!
Thank you for the tips. What printer do you use to print thick cardstock?
I use pretty thin 65# cardstock and an HP Deskjet 2540 at the moment. I prefer to try it with a printer where the paper goes straight through (rather than going in the front, flipping over, and coming back out the front - it can sometimes get caught otherwise).
hey great insight! I wonder whats the printer you are using, is it a special one for that purpose thanks :)
I actually don't remember the exact model number... I got rid of that printer a few years ago. I'm currently using an HP Deskjet 2540 for printing this sort of thing, but I mostly just recommend a printer where the paper goes straight through (rather than going in the front, flipping over, and coming back out the front) when your paper is thicker like this.
Wow, I had no idea how much work you put into each product! That is crazy cool. Any tips on t-shirt printing/printers? Also, what kinda camera did you use for this? I loved the quality! :)
***** Yeah, it takes a long time! Thank you. I like customink.com! They're always really nice on the phone and they get excited to see Harry Potter-inspired designs! I used my Sony NEX-3n, which I talked about in my video about my vlogging setup: My Video Blogging Setup
Well, I now know what I'm getting my friends for Christmas...
Hi! I hope you can teach us on how to do our own logo for our shop.
+Harriet Cipriano I'm not sure how I could teach that in one video, unfortunately! It depends on the programs you have access to and I'd mostly recommend that you take a class on your program and practice working in it so you can use it to clean up sketches of your ideas. Maybe I could think of some basic tips though! I'll think it through for a little while. :)
This was really helpful! Any ideas for bracelets? I've been hoping to sell some "friendship bracelets," but haven't been able to figure out the best way to pack one up. Also, what do you ship these guys in?
hollylymusikliv You could use the same basic ideas but in a bigger box made for bracelets, maybe with some sort of twist tie poked through the card to hold it in place. I pack them in bubble mailers like I showed in one of my other branding/packaging videos: Branding: Etsy Packaging
Lauren Fairweather
I'm getting some ideas. Thanks so much for sharing your ideas and craft with us!
👍
Me encanta pero en Argentina no existen esos colgantes
Where do you get your jewelry findings such as chain and clasps?
+Morelia Falcon A variety of etsy supplies shops, depending on what I need and what's in stock. My latest favorites are HDSupplies and ingredientsforlovely.
Hey Lauren, I wanted to say that I love your videos! I came across them from Sea Lemon's Channel! :) Also I have a quick question about packaging. I noticed that you have a lot of small boxes to put your works inside. I wanted to know if you ordered them from somewhere, if so where? Or if you made them custom? Thank you!
xxangelgirlxx00 Aw, thank you so much! I'm glad that you're here! I get my kraft paper jewelry boxes from Uline.com and they have lots of sizes and colors to choose from. www.uline.com/BL_5604/Jewelry-Boxes
(Also, just in case you have a question like this again - I had actually put this information and link in the video description when I uploaded this video in case anyone had that question! I do this for pretty much every video I make so it could save you some time in the future.)
Lauren Fairweather Thank you Lauren! I like that you have answered my question instantly. I will make sure you check out the description box of all your videos from now on! :) Also just a quick question do they sell internationally because I'm from the UK I want to know all of my options, and I don't know much about selling and packaging since I am just new to the whole thing.
xxangelgirlxx00 I've only been ordering from them within the US so I looked it up and on their help page it says that you have to contact them to ship outside of the US, Canada, or Mexico so they can add applicable taxes and tariffs to your invoice. www.uline.com/CustomerService/ULINE_FAQ_Ans.aspx?FAQ_ID=51
Lauren Fairweather Oh right, thank you so much! I appreciate the help! You really are an amazing person! Thank you again! I will continue to look around and see what would be suitable for me. Thank you again! I shall now be binge watching your videos! :)
xxangelgirlxx00 It's no problem! I'm happy to help. I know that it can be overwhelming when you first start out, but over time you'll figure out what's best for you and your business. :D
I Have an' opal necklace I'm wearing
Hello! Where do you find the thick business card like paper?
I'm not sure! The cardstock I use is not as thick as business cards, but I buy that at craft stores like Joann Fabrics and Michael's in the scrapbooking section. I wouldn't use business card-like paper in my normal printer; I feel like that wouldn't end well, haha.
I love how she gets straight to the point! 😫💕 thanks for sharing!!
