I was going to go to this, but £25 each entry is a piss take. There are plenty of classic car meets in the area that are FREE and have pretty much the same cars turning up! Like: Boxhill, Runnymede, Walton Bridge, Pine Ridge, Black Swan etc etc. Im sure that Allegro estate is on a VW Beetle floorpan.
Most of the shows nowadays are so expensive! I personally think that Brooklands Museum is worth the entry fee. There’s so much to see. . . . We actually managed to blag Cat’s ticket for free by saying she was my Dads carer too! 😀😀😀
@@marcushayesford Brooklands isnt a show though is it. Its just a glorified car meet. Without enthusiasts turning up in a classic cars they have nothing! I have no issue with paying to go in a museum, but once you have done it once you done need to do it again for years, so the car meet should be separate! I would not have an issue paying say £5 for that. But paying £75 for 3 of us to walk around a car park to look at other people's cars who have also been charged entry IS a piss take! I will stick to the decent car meets in the surrounding areas myself along with proper shows which offer much better value.
@ I get what you mean mate. It’s true I’ve already seen everything at the museum before, but I don’t mind seeing it all again once a year, as well as checking out the cars at the gathering. 👍
Hi mate the hotrod you call a t ford is a 28/29 a ford. And the allegro estate ( i had one of then) is build on a aircooled beetle pan. So yes it's aircooled and tge boxer engine is in the booth. Have a nice sunday
I was there, didn’t see u otherwise I would have said hi… I do think the price is a bit steep for a car show… they should close the museum.. Coolflo do a monthly meet in the summer & it’s only a fiver..
I personally dont think it’s that bad really. Granted it’s expensive if you see it as a car meet. I just see it as an annual visit to the museum, on potentially the best day to go there (because of the New Years Day meet) . . . . If you see me out and about in the future defo come and say hello. 👍
All scirocco's (and Corrados) are "Glorified Golfs". Nothings really changed between the new ones and the old skool ones. Good on VW for bringing them back, I say. Some are twin charged which almost makes up for no vr6 model, but not quite. Underrated cars, clearly. 😉
