No problem, you climb it and start sketching dance steps to annoy the slimes. You jump up and continue on your way, slowly climbing back up to the top of the mountain. You have already taken this road during your childhood, nothing can happen to you. 7:55... You noticed this strange opening in the mountain ... a cave! You rush into it and contemplate his majesty. You don't even feel the cold anymore. 12:05... But there, in a room, a strange white and hairy mass stands still. Not for long in fact, only when you arrive, it finally moves. She stands on her two hind legs, three times your height ... a polar bear, the ugliest you have ever seen. Quickly, he attacks you. Each attack from her is dodged by your incredible agility, further infuriating the beast. You still attempt to attack it with your machete, with each opening providing an opportunity to take down the monster that doesn't give you any gifts. but he manages to hit you, sending you over a wall. You feel your bones breaking and let out a cry. By the time you understand the situation, the bear charges you, almost smirking mischievously. At least, do you really notice it? Two days later, the town organized a festival to celebrate its foundation. Food, activities, music and dances are on the menu. You are approached by Bobby, the son of the village chief. Arrogant that he is, he is convinced that you are trying to steal his girlfriend, which of course is not true. The only thing that matters to you is adventure. He decides to challenge you: you must pass ALL the festival activities. From the simplest to the most wacky. Everything goes: catching the most apples in a basin of water without hands, winning a race with blindfolded eyes, riding the biggest pig ... Finally, night falls and you have won, not without having poured a few drops of sweat in front of the complexity, the intensity (and the duration) of the tests. Bobby is frustrated, angry and upset at the same time. You still manage to cheer him up, showing fair play. He forgives you and shakes your hand, even offering you the keys to the city for being a good rival. He can still have his girlfriend. 22:40... You feel in better shape and decide to come home to the other side of the mountain. You take a path according to the advice and warnings of the inhabitants. This path passes through a forest filled with creatures, each more beautiful and ugly than the next: Large deer with complex horns, ents, insects, wolves and carnivorous plants. And you even do a racing event with a wood elf you have come across. Having defeated him, he hands you a deployable shield. 26:35... Again by chance, you stumble upon a hidden cave and notice that its walls are made of bricks. Dungeon ! You enter out of curiosity but discover new enemies: traps, bandits of all kinds and even necromancer wizards reviving the skeletons hanging on the walls. There are also guard dogs and mad prisoners trying to catch you. The dungeon is a real labyrinth with its corridors and large rooms and therefore you get lost easily. Even the map you improvise doesn't sound very fair. After a long time, you open a wide door and enter what appears to be a throne room, a tall man standing there. 30:45... "So it was you who killed my degenerate big brother, so I will be able to avenge him. Prepare to die!" said the man with the big black beard. He draws a large sword and assails you with blows, but you manage to withstand attacks with your shield, dodging when they seem heavy. You attack and slowly chip away at his armor while he doesn't falter. He even calls in minions to help him bring you down. At one point, her sword breaks and, frustrated, drops it to the ground. He howls and begins to grow up to three times your height. He becomes a huge black bear, scaring away his minions in fear. He is a berserker, terrifying warrior who scavenges armies. His attacks are heavier and you find it increasingly difficult to dodge his blows. Finally, it charges one last time, crushing you with all its weight. And this time, you don't get up. 34:42... The game over is displayed and the music starts, leaving you with yourself. However, you are not frustrated. It's Christmas and you have just received your first RPG. In one morning you have already reached the second boss and surely missed items, quests. You will be able to take your revenge and, if not, ask your friends for help. Obviously they also ordered it and will also have tested it. But for now, you need to have breakfast. These cookies will not eat themselves.

Shimo the Ice King is known to trap people inside his lair if they anger him. Willow the Plant Wyvern used to be one of Saigai's minions, however he was one of the few to escape, and also the only dragon to actually help the protagonist. Fuwu the Cat Person is a traveller from distant lands. Her species is allied with the humans. Icenappers are known to capture people it thinks are pretty to display them in it's home.
Post Credits: Saigai suddenly gets up from his slumber, he laughs in happiness and speaks to the screen in an 8 bit tone. "You thought you could win against me?" "A petty little sword can't do anything!" The screen starts to shake, debris falling down after continuing to hear his devious laughter. "Goodbye." Saigai says as he walks towards the screen and scratches it, breaking the camera, as it fell, it suddenly flashed on for a few more seconds, of Saigai, walking away from the screen and flying out of his castle. The screen turns black.
GASP this n e e d s to be a game now! Perhaps other cat people are traveling merchants, and there are side quests to save them from monsters/ fetch items for them! Or perhaps you yourself are a cat person and get to pick what type of cat you are, be it Burmese, ginger, black, blue, tortie, grey tabby, persian, or calico, perhaps even Sphinx! Or there could be fewer options and increases to stats with different cat types, potentially creating a final fantasy-like party of kitties! (I got to code this now!!!)

Didn't know I love Brazil, yet here you are lol. This is impressive work, obvious talent and a whole bunch of dedication. Gives motivation to work on the game. Cheers!
See, I love everything about this! The original 8-bit music is exactly what I have in mind when it comes to authentic 8-bit music! Most "8-bit" games these days all have music that is supposed to sound like 8-bit, but it's just chiptune or electronic-sounding without the authenticity of what made NES music the way it was. Not only did you create an original track for a game for anyone to use, it sets the mood for each situation accordingly and really reminds me of those hardcore platformers or adventure games back in the NES days. Thank you for your hard work!
This music is all fantastic! Found this video and popped it on in the background while chugging through some rough Uni deadlines and got the vibe of every song and the environmental picture each painted even before looking at the titles! Fantastic work, and very inspiring to get back into pixel art hobbies and maybe even take a crack at the software you've linked! Amazing work!

What a fantastic collection of chiptune music! It brings back those childhood feelings playing Dragon Warrior and Final Fantasy, and at the same time, it's completely original and gorgeous material! If you have more video game music, I would love to hear it.
Didn't quite understand your comment, but it's likely that you heard my music from this album being used in other games. (btw, I just saw that you wrongly credited other authors in some of your videos that contain my songs). I made this album precisely for this purpose, to make it possible for other people to use it in commercial and non-commercial projects, games, etc.
Just want you to know, I'm using this in my current game project. Might get changed out before publishing if we decide to spend money in that direction, but I'm loving it, and will be listenin to a lot of hours of it over the coming months. Thanks for these, really good work.

Exactly what I thought when I produced these album :D
THank you for this, it is goated.
This is exactly what I was looking for, good relaxing nice 8-bit music to hit me right in the nostaligia. aaah... simpler times, better times.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it, thank you so much for listening!
This needs a game to go with it so badly
Took me forever to figure out that that little motif in "And the Journey begins" at 4:21 reminded me of, but I finally realized it was "Rain" by SID.
The dicisive battle theme gives big old school pokemon vibes, man that brings me back.
facts.
really cool stuff, so underrated. bought the album and used it in an animation! :D keep up the good work :D
Hey Cheetah, thank you very much for your support! :D
I'm glad you found it to be useful
I love listening to chiptune/16bit fantasy music while at work or when working on my indie game development. This has been on a playlist of mine for some time. Amazing work. Thank you.
i’m so glad we’ve come up with this genre of music
I'm sad I didn't come across this when it came out. I'm only at Icy Cave while writing this and this collection is damn great so far. Loving it.
Thanks for taking time to listen to this album, I'm glad you're enjoying it so far :D
@@xDeviruchi It's great. I have since shared it with a few people and have listened to it at least once a day since finding it. It's very nice and brings up memories of old 8-bit games like the original Final Fantasy.
This is incredible, I can't wait to use some of these track on loop for my dnd campaign, they're so charming and well-composed without being in your face and distracting. A veritable bop.
Thank you so much! :D
I had the same thought, nice!
I grew up during this era and I found my mind automatically adding additional sound effects for jumping, shooting and power ups while listening.
Loved the title screen, Very talented!
30:46 kicks in and my ORAS memories flood in. Thanks for sudden nostalgia! Great work!
yeah its straight up a pokemon battle theme
Great work! I feel like a kid sitting on the floor, playing a brand new NES adventure game in front of my old 16" CRT TV. Sweet! ✌️♥️
Thanks Ken!
This is exactly what I was thinking.
Congrats man, this is realy a gem

I'm just getting started with game dev, and I needed some quick rpg music to try out. I really appreciate this. For now I can't support every creator that helps but I promise I'll remember this when I make my first buck. Leaving a like and a comment is the least I can do thanks again
Thank you so much, and good luck on your game dev journey! :D
oh my fricking god it feels like i just played a whole game! amazing job, you and the pixel artist are very talented :)
I listen to a lot of video game music but this is truly one of the best original video game inspired albums I've ever listened to. Amazing creation!
The last one makes me kinda emotional. I'm in my very last few months of school and this combined with other factors kinda seal my time of being a child. That song kinda encapsulates how I feel. It's now the next chapter for me and the Final of The Fantasy - the Fantasy one had being a child...
Never stop dreaming. Because you will still feel like a child even when you hit 30.
XDeviruchi, you are a legend; and later on, you will known by the youtube community as the greatest artist of the century,
Hi I'm Brazilian I used this song in one of my Skeletron Terraria videos I just wanted to thank you for creating such a beautiful 8bit. (I left the credits thanks again)
Eu que agradeço, fico feliz que você curtiu as músicas! :D
(Também sou brasileiro hehe)
this is just metal disguised as an 8-bit music.. please keep making more music.. this is so inspirational and so kick ass!
we need more people like you, making god like music that is free to use I am almost shedding a tear here
Thank you @xDeciruchi. These sounds will help me build my upcoming 8-bit game that I want to create.
Thank YOU Mr Clay! I'm very happy that I could help you with your project :D
This is truly wonderful. This put a lot of smiles on my face. Outstanding work.
it feels like it tells a full story... AMAZING
to true
Perfect inspiration for my game comming out September 2021 or 2022-2023, I’ll edit closer the time. Reply if you want some details i guess .
Thank you so much for making this! It really helps and I like to listen to it in the background
Thank you very much for the comment
I would love to have more details about the game you're developing!
@@xDeviruchi it’s about two tortoises, Dean and deanette, they have to fight robotic eagles, Steven evil eagles, their leader and creator is Steven eagles, he is a person trying to kill out tortoises. As you travel you encounter more species of tortoise and make friends. As you increase friendship level they will teach you special attacks and give you gifts.
@@thistle305 It will be cool to see the tortoises defeating these evil forces led by Steven Eagle! (is this a joke between Steven Seagal / Seagul / Eagle?) I don't know what kind of game genre you will use to develop it, but I can already imagine it as an Undertale-style rpg :D
@@xDeviruchi it is an undertale themed RPG adventure game and yes, it kind of is based on Steven the seagull and my dad knew someone from school called Steven Eagles!
After lots of thinking and listening I have finally decided that my favourite track is Decisive Battle but icy cave and prepare to battle are great
storytime!!
0:00
"Adventurer's Return: The Curse of Saigai"
4:05
The theme for walking around in the forest. You may encounter enemies here, such as slimes, goblins, lizardlings, etc.
7:54
The theme for when you are in Shimo the Ice King's Lair. You may encounter enemies here, such as icenappers, frost spiders, and brrbats.
11:59
The theme for when you are attacked.
16:08
The theme for when you are in Fuwu the Cat Person's shop or are in a safe place.
20:14
The theme for when you are playing Willow the Plant Wyvern's game. If you win, you get coins, same goes for the reverse. He will also trade with you.
26:37
The theme for when you are in a dungeon. You may encounter bats, giant spiders, and giant cobras.
30:45
The theme for when you battle Saigai, the dragon who burnt down your village with no regret.
34:42
The theme for the credits after you've killed Saigai.
Information for those who want to add more:
Lizardlings are the children of Saigai. They have not developed wings yet.
Saigai burned down the protagonist's village because he wanted it's riches.
Post Credits:
Saigai suddenly gets up from his slumber, he laughs in happiness and speaks to the screen in an 8 bit tone.
"You thought you could win against me?"
"A petty little sword can't do anything!"
The screen starts to shake, debris falling down after continuing to hear his devious laughter.
"Goodbye."
Saigai says as he walks towards the screen and scratches it, breaking the camera, as it fell, it suddenly flashed on for a few more seconds, of Saigai, walking away from the screen and flying out of his castle.
Ooh, you know what, I can’t code, but I can make this a campaign for an RPG! (Prob DnD, but maybe something else :D)
@@hyzmarie Perhaps I can convince my brother to code this game later.

It's really hard to find 8bit music that isn't covers or retro game OST which I heard way too much. Thank a lot for making some original tunes, this is an extra motivation now that I want to get into composing by making an 8bit album.
Oh, and I fotgot to say I love this
Did you ever start your album?
Man the 2nd soundtrack "and the journey begins" is so entertaining, I just love the melody :-) Your work really reminds me of the musics of Shovel Knight, and some of the musics are even better to my ears. Thanks so much for sharing, hope you can go on and give us some more masterpieces!
Yeah, Shovel Knight is one of my all-time favorite OST!
And thank YOU for taking some time to listen to this album.
I already have some projects in progress, the plan is to launch a lot cool music this year! :D
God this makes me wanna play some good-ol traditional 8-bit fantasy adventure game
How have I not found this until now?? I absolutely am in love with this music! Thank you for creating and sharing this amazing list

every time I think I can click away from the journey begins, it gets better. Haha, kudos to the artist.
I’ve been using this as the soundtrack to a “story game” I’ve been running with my sons, and we’ve all come to love it. So much so that my oldest has begun trying to learn to play the entire track on violin!
Thank you and God bless and guide you. Peace and joy!

Currently using this for my Shovel Knight-esque 2D side-scroller in development. Amazing tracks for an adventure 2D game. Thank you for making these tracks sir!
Thanks for make this music public, im going to make a Scratch videogame with this music
The fact you let people use this commercially feels like theft 😢 this is so freaking amazing, good job 👏 frfr
I'm currently using this soundtrack for my rpg 8-bit game, thanks for making it usable for free!
Absolutely great! Feels like it goes right alongside any Final Fantasy or Dragonquest game of the era! Bravo!
OMG, in love with the first song.
Holy shit! Please make more of this, this is so inspiring! Currently making a gameboy game with GB studio! I hope some people will enjoy it :). And I'll hope the Analogue Pocket will be pre-orderable again soon and I hope to be able to purchase one too. Well good job for the music. You totally deserve the praise! I hope you continue!

I just found this, and I'm not sure how, but these are some absolute bangers. Excellent work.
I love this! It’s so nostalgic and calming. I played it in the background while writing last night. 💖
Thanks a ton for making your music free. I & my friend, @D.D.(draggador), are using it in our projects. We're gonna credit you too.
Finally, a YT Recommends that is actually worth my time. This was great!

Those songs are incredible, congratulations for your work
Just want you to know, I'm using this in my current game project. Might get changed out before publishing if we decide to spend money in that direction, but I'm loving it, and will be listenin to a lot of hours of it over the coming months. Thanks for these, really good work.
