just skipped through youtube, and heard about 5 other songs - i think that he is playing the same chords - This is by far the best thing that he has......so relax, he doesn't live up to the expectations......and I really hoped it would....oh and btw, without the female singers ( compared to him, it would be an insult to call them merely backing singers ), and the lead guitarist's haircut......this guy is numb

A hint of gospel ?? Please !! You stayed this long into the song because of the female vocalists......then the guitar is very interesting.....the lead singer is average.....but the structure is classic "if this were sung by a black guy, you wouldn't care for it's blandness...but because he is white.....and there is some subtle piano atmospherics...and the tambourine ( beatlesque )...you and I know it gets more air time that it deserves.....But still, it's put together nice enough, I'd be interested to see if he is able to sing anything else.....without listening to the rest of his stuff, I'd bet my LP collection....that this song is the nearest he gets to soul...Nice marketing. respect to that. Right from the start....you wish.
