Whether you're a seasoned car enthusiast or a newbie to automotive maintenance, our detailed instructions will help you keep your Ford Puma running smoothly.
    Introduction:
Are you tired of seeing that pesky service light flashing on your Ford Puma's dashboard? Worried about the oil life in your vehicle? Fret not! In this comprehensive guide, we'll demystify the process of resetting both the service light and oil life indicator on your Ford Puma. By following these simple steps, you can ensure your car stays in top-notch condition and avoid unnecessary trips to the mechanic.
Understanding Service Light and Oil Life Indicator:
Before we dive into the nitty-gritty of resetting these indicators, let's take a moment to understand what they signify. The service light typically illuminates to remind you that your vehicle is due for routine maintenance, such as an oil change or inspection. On the other hand, the oil life indicator tracks the condition of your engine oil and alerts you when it's time for a change. By resetting these indicators, you can effectively clear any past maintenance reminders and start afresh.
    Step 1: Preparation:
To begin, gather the necessary tools and materials for the task. You'll need access to your Ford Puma's driver's seat and a clear understanding of the vehicle's controls. Additionally, ensure that the ignition is turned off to prevent any electrical mishaps during the process.
Step 2: Accessing the Instrument Cluster:
Next, locate the instrument cluster on your Ford Puma's dashboard. This is where you'll find the various warning lights and indicators, including the service light and oil life indicator. Take a moment to familiarize yourself with the layout of the cluster before proceeding.
    Step 3: Navigating the Menu:
Now, it's time to turn on the ignition without starting the engine. Once the instrument cluster lights up, use the controls on the steering wheel or dashboard to navigate to the settings menu. Look for options related to vehicle maintenance or service reminders.
    Step 4: Resetting Service Light:
Within the settings menu, locate the option to reset the service light. Depending on your Ford Puma's model year and trim level, this option may be labeled differently. Once you've found it, follow the on-screen prompts to reset the service light and confirm your selection.
Step 5: Resetting Oil Life Indicator:
Similarly, navigate to the oil life indicator within the settings menu. Again, the exact location of this option may vary based on your vehicle's configuration. Once found, initiate the reset process and follow the prompts to confirm. Congratulations! You've successfully reset both the service light and oil life indicator on your Ford Puma.
    Conclusion:
In conclusion, maintaining your Ford Puma's service light and oil life indicator is crucial for ensuring optimal performance and longevity. By following the simple steps outlined in this video, you can take control of your vehicle's maintenance schedule and drive with confidence. Don't let those warning lights catch you off guard-stay proactive and keep your Ford Puma running smoothly for miles to come!

Thankyou! Had my Puma serviced today and I think they missed this step after changing the oil & filter as oil life was still showing as 50% in the ford app
