I just started using this method about 6 months ago. I think I saw Flip Pallot describe it on a Mad River Outfitters vid. Great, simple method. Definitely, mark the backing line end too.

Yes this is an old method . I've been using it for years. I think I read it in a magazine when they had those ;-)

@MikeMouradian I'm a TU life member and still get the hard copy of the national TU mag, but get Michigan TU mag digitally. As much as I like holding a mag or book in my hands, I love having access to all the copies of the MI TU mag on my phone!
