I bought Hyundai i20 immediately after completing my car driving course and I feel that the car is very comfortable for driving. I later drove other cars and doesn't get this feel in other cars in the same segment, mainly diesel car. Due to its weight, I felt the less punch in their power compared to other cars. Hi... I own i20 asta(o). I would like to share my car buying experience. Before buying this car, my dream car was Honda City since my childhood. My budget was 15 to 17 Lakhs max. So, I thought of buying Honda City top end with all features and due to its spacious cabin as many people say. Even did test drive of Honda City top end. Its drivability was good other than that rubberband effect that one can feel in cvt. After checking drivability, we checked knee room and shoulder room at the rear by sitting three adults (5 8 to 5 10 normal build). I was shocked to see there is no enough shoulder room when three people sat at the rear abreast. Atleast, one at the end had to lean slightly on the door. Even though it has cushion on both the doors with three individual head rests, three abreast couldn't sit in Honda City. Either one persons Shoulder room was comprised. But, knee room was ample because of its length. Head room was not an issue too. I couldn't think of any other cars at that time since I had only Honda City car on my mind. That Honda show room person who came along with us for test drive was just following our chat and he was shocked to see us saying not enough room(width). Since my dream car had space issues I was very upset and postponed the plan for buying the car. After few months, due to family compulsion, I did test drive of other cars. First one was Creta. It had good width for three abreast and overall a very spacious cabin with all features I needed. but I couldn't afford for top end automatic as it costs more than 19 Lakhs. Even drove Tata Nexon as it had spacious cabin but I didn't like its exterior design since it looked like big indica and my sources said Tata cars usually face engine (non reliable) and electrical failure issues in long run. But, most people go for it due to 5 star rating/ Jaguar type rotating knob at the interior/ Indian made car. Thought of Suzuki Ciaz too. But due to its poor build and lack of popular features like remote engine start or connected car features or a sun roof or poor old 7 inch display, I couldn't go for that. Finally with all feature packed (other than ventilated seats) with spacious shoulder room for three people, this i20 car was there to my surprise. Even though, it was less than my budget, it has good recline angle at the rear and three abreast could fit easily because of its higher width (1775mm) compared to most sedans like Honda City(1748mm), Verna, Ciaz, etc or sub 4 metre sedans(dzire)/Suvs(Venue) or other premium competitive hatch backs (altroz/jazz/baleno) After trying all these cars which I mentioned, I chose i20 top end (dct-6 airbags) as I see it as an over all package. I miss leather on door pads and dash board. Apart from that, after one year of using it, am completely satisfied with my decision.
Same for me ...my first choice is honda city and Verna ...and after budget i go with i20 asta optional Manual...i already booked ..in three day ..it will delivered

Compare i20 diesel to Ford Freestyle TDCI, still Ford is fun to drive and value for money. Ford Tdci is good built and best of diesel engine. Ford service is cheaper than Maruti Suzuki, but ppl don't trust and we lost a good product.

I bought a i20 Aşta petrol MT variant 2 days back drive around the city covered 70 km why the cluster showes fuel economy 7.5 km per Lit , is it real or it will increase after a while ? Completely shocked 😒
There are some drawbacks that he did'nt mentioned when you turn on ac the performance of driving is worst When you accelerate car won't move like what you expect second thing the height of car is less so we dont find comfortable while driving in any kind of seat adjustments third one : mileage is good if you drive only on plain road with 5 th gear otherwise it gives around 15kmph I have purchased this new i20 i have these problems you cannot find these issues easily when you get a free drive from company.

Dzire mileage always good, because maruti K12series engine performance super, but Kappa engine mileage little less

I bought a i20 Aşta petrol MT variant 2 days back drive around the city covered 70 km why the cluster showes fuel economy 7.5 km per Lit , is it real or it will increase after a while ? Completely shocked 😒

when you turn on ac the performance of driving is worst
When you accelerate car won't move like what you expect
second thing the height of car is less so we dont find comfortable while driving in any kind of seat adjustments
third one : mileage is good if you drive only on plain road with 5 th gear otherwise it gives around 15kmph
