Malivore's memory wipe ability only successfully works on monsters because people want to forget them, most people will have a single run in with them. Hope on the other hand...is so inner woven with Landon's story and Rafael and Josie and Alaric and the school that, it will be impossible for them not to realize there are bits and pieces missing and their brains are going to want to fill in the gap, that they'll regain their memories. Good thing too because Hope doesn't deserve to be forgotten!

Furthermore her aunts Freya and Rebekah and not to mention her Uncle Kol I'm sure all have some items of hers such as pictures or something that will make her resistance not totally forgotten by everyone
