Canadian National freights arriving at Jasper.

- As a East bound freight enters Jasper yard, another sneaks up on the adjacent track! Luckily I turn the camera around in time to catch a classic GE Dash 8 -40CM. The morning is crisp , clear and chilly with beautiful lighting. This is some of the first ever video I have shot outside Australia, and with my new camera. The "dead cat" wind cover spoils the shot as I hadn't had a chance to give it a hair cut yet!
Gregg.
Spectacular scenery and heavy machinery all in one place!
Sure is Robert, Jasper is a great little town with non stop rail action! I miss it already..LOL
Cheers Gregg
hi Gregg.. glad to see you're still alive... awesome catch with great scenery to go along with it.. thanks for sharing... vinny
Hi VInny, yes still here mate, damn house taking up a lot of time! Lots more on the way, including Arizona!
Thanks and cheers mate. Gregg
Magnificent backdrop and of course the trains ! Great vid
Sure is a great spot! Thanks for watching.
Cheers Gregg.

Thank you Sir! It was a lucky catch with the two "Barn Door" units!
Cheers Gregg.
Very nice video! What a great location!
Thank you Sir! Pity about the dead cat sneaking into the shot, I got some scissors at Jasper and gave it a trim..LOL It is a beautiful place and lots of train traffic.
Cheers Gregg.
Loved the zebra lashup!!
Yeah, I was lucky to get them.
Nice Canadian National catch. I just found your channel today. I've got some train catches myself, but I see that you have been at this for a long time.......... I just started a few months ago and I like the atmosphere of UA-cam and I plan to make more train videos.
Thanks Tim! Welcome aboard, I guess I've been here for a little while, but there's always something new to learn or a better spot to shoot from!
Cheers Gregg.
Great new video Gregg great backdrop with the snow covered mountains , how is lord stan and the Birdwood sub going cheers mate Greg
Thanks Greg! It was spectacular scenery, we don't have "mountains" down here..LOL Stan is good, will be back soon. Layout is slow due to house work but hoping to have a video soon.
Cheers Gregg.

Great vid Gregg, how's the layout coming along? Been a while since an update! Was starting to think you had fallen off the planet!
Still planning a trip down from bundy, will get there soon
he is down under, so he might still be recovering from jet lag. lol, is a very long flight. I was DEAD after returning to Canada from Aus
Still here Tom..LOL busy on the house and still haven't got my new software yet! Have done a bit on the layout , some videos coming up but the house is priority atm.
Cheers Gregg
Hi Gregg, nive video.great camera, what make model is it Albert
Hi Albert, the camera is a Sony HXR NX3 with a Senheiser shotgun mic.
Thanks for watching!
Good to hear from you down under. Always watching the cruise ships coming
and going out of Sydney winter is over and sugar cane is growing. It seam
that between Southeast Louisiana USA and AU we have put all the Islands in
the Caribbean except Cuba out of the Sugar Cane business did a ride around
St Kitts on a 30" Narrow gauge rr that was built in t920s and is tourist
now only. They stopped growing Cane in 2005. Will be posting a video.
Merry Christmas.
Thanks Art! The ships look good going under the "Hanger"..ie Harbour Bridge, but I think a lot stop at the docks before it? The corn syrup has killed the cane I reckon?, plus its the worst sugar you can have but thats how the big companies want it! Thankfully our cane business is going well down here!
Look forward to your video mate!
Cheers Gregg
Great catch. I wondering if you had fallen off the face of the earth. Hope life is treating you well.
Thank you Sir! No, still here but busy on the house, also did a 3 week rail fanning trip down south so have lots of video from that too! I'll try and upload some more before Xmas?
Cheers Gregg.
Can't wait to see them. Cheers, from the frozen North....
Cheers, stay warm.
Mecca for CN railfans!
You're not wrong Benny boy! Can't wait to get back there, maybe in Fall next time?
Gregg :-)
wow what a fantastic trip you had, just the view, breathless for sure, and then to add 2 trains, I am not sure which one there is in the passing lane, lol. but super,
Its a lovely place Sparky, will be going back for sure! I think the main is the left track?
Thanks for watching.
Gregg
Hi man how's life. Good to see video.
Hi Arthur, been busy with work and the house , the time has just flown since I got back from my trip. Trust you are all well over there.
Gregg .
Finally a new vid from you! As always your shot-making is inspired, and timely. Breathtaking scenery. More please!. . . Diana
Thank you Diana! Jasper's a lovely place, missed snow falling by 2 week but plenty still on the peaks. Glad you liked it , more on the way.
Take care, Gregg.
Fantastic vid Mate ,the vid so crisp and clear. did you run up to the hill top for a quick ski ?? , lol
Cheers Glynn
Be good if you can make it to Stew's next run day
Thanks Glynn, the camera does a good job, still learning it at this point! We did go up to the snow, plenty still around and great weather so wasn't cold at all! See how I go for the next run day?
Cheers Gregg
And yet another great video. Keep up the editing and video production for us to admire more of your train trip. Cheers.
Thanks Bob! Will have to open the wallet soon..LOL stupid thing is I can afford it, but all you get is a download for $500.00!!!! At least give me a CD..LOL
Cheers Gregg.
I agree with Vinny - bnsf6951. I though Lord Stan had to many Scotches one night and talked you in a world tour.
LOL..it wouldn't take much to talk me into coming back! Hopefully in a year or so!
Gregg :-)
Whar' ya' been Gregg? Been missing ya' brother! Good to hear from you! Hope all is well. Thanks for the wonderful video. Cheers, Dan
Hi Danny, trying to finish the house but the hearts not in it ..LOL Miss the US and my life size models!! Glad you like it and when I finally open the wallet and get my new edit suite, there are hours of clips on the way!
Glad you like this one, more of Canada coming up too!
Thanks for the kind words.
Gregg :-)
You're welcome mate. If I could afford a ticket, I would gladly head over and give you a hand with the house. You're welcome to come to Florida and stay for a bit when you're done though. This time of year is nice, hot and sticky in the summer though. Cheers, Dan
Hi Gregg... Very Nice Video. I'm pleased you had some nice train sightings while here last summer - It made me appreciate the freights I see all the time!
Have YOU made a video on how to Improve the Horn Sound in Tsunami decoders. Perhaps I missed it? A while ago you mentioned you'd one. The horns sound crummy compared to the Atlas with QSI which sound "So Real"!!!!! Like on my train channel, at 1m35s on this video: ua-cam.com/video/DThSmlYSbw8/v-deo.html Can we do this on the Tsunamis Horns??? -Chris
Thank you Chris, glad you liked it! I miss over every day, have very little interest in the trains down here now..LOL I've been spoilt! You're lucky to have them in your back yard! I did mention it in a video but havent made the video yet, its on the "to do" list! I just got my first Tsunami 2 decoder so that will be a video in the future once I install it, probably after Christmas.
Cheers Gregg.
FishplateFilms ok... 😞 i was hoping you could recommend a reference video to something soon... We really need to make these horns truly sound real! -chris
