Mr. Dershowitz, I live in Palo Alto. I walk to the Stanford games. I take the train to Giants games in the city or (along with the light rail) to 49er games in Santa Clara. This is supposed to be the Mecca of tolerance. Yet, I discovered that it is really the Mecca of hate. Not long ago, my wife and I rode our bicycles through Stanford. I was shocked to see the Palestinian tent city on Stanford's campus not far from the old student union. There were shocking levels of hate and lies there. Yet, the local residents here seem to have acquiesced those protesters (who also had pro-Biden and anti-Trump posters). This is also the area where a Trump bumper sticker will likely find your car keyed or your tires slashed. Meanwhile, the local Democratic Party still calls out to "defund the police" -- despite crime rates that have skyrocketed. They also call for President Trump and any of his supporters to be "removed" from social media. The era of a Democratic Party that claimed to support Israel, free speech, free assembly, free press, etc. is gone.
