Was looking for footage for ages, then just gave up. Notice added 3 years ago, awesome video, great memories. Just glad I witnessed it all those years ago.
Concorde came, I think, just once to my local airport: Gatwick. I watched it take off from the Balcombe road and it passed right over my head. The take-off was like a jet fighter and the noise was louder than any other plane I’ve heard...wonderful.
WHt do you mean never to be repeated, never say never, there is no technical reason why concorde cannot fly again as a heritage aircraft only although many obstacles need to be dealt with before any attempt.
Simarvir S Dhandee I would love to see it in the air again but it took millions of pounds to get a Vulcan back in the sky. After all that work time and money it only lasted a very short time and the money and support ran out. You would need the backing of a billionaire to do any good for Concorde now. They sold off all the spare parts etc so as sabotage any chance of it flying again.

Simarvir S Dhandee yes I agree it could and I wish would fly again but it is down to huge amounts of money. My local Vulcan does high speed taxi runs, in the summer, sounds fantastic when those thrust levers pushed forwards.
There are many technical reasons why Concorde will not and cannot fly again. Apart from one airframe in Barbados, all the hydraulic systems would have to be replaced

very precious memories
No doubt that was captain and shift commander LaBonte. He did all the air shows What a pilot he was. God bless him
Thank you for sharing this video 😀 sadly as you say never to be repeated
I was there watching near Southend pier.
What a plane! Beautiful.
looks like something from the future...all these years later
Was this filmed on two tree island?
Yes it was. I did not have a good tripod hence wobbly vision. Could try to improve it in post with today’s software possibly.
Can you tell us what year this was please?
It says in header. 30 may 88 .
@@derrickwarren3818 I sincerely apologise, I feel dumb for asking. Thanks.
