Wow. This is the first live video I've found where ADTR sounds anything like ADTR.
Imagine Writing a Song.
Then Playing live.
Then Hearing Hundreds of Energetic Men and Women Sing it Back To You.
I like how everyone is hyped, yet gently passing people amongst the crowd to the front, security catching them for a safe landing, and the fan just walks casually to the side of the stage lmao.
Unlike at the Travis Scott concert where people were dying amongst each other.
That Bass Tone is amazing
How they cut the music and the crowd all says “LETS GO!!” Is epic.

Can we just talk about how Jeremy tried really hard to fist bump that fan before the security guards literally ripped her away roughly and I saw people give them stuff and the security guards just threw them under the stage area on the ground. I hate the security guards at these concerts at any place because they always do this and it's rude.
They're just doing their job
And I understand that and that they need to keep the bands safe but, not ever security guard is doing their job.

why is it so fast?
Quite a lot of bands play songs faster live just to get the crowd going a bit more, Pearl Jam do it with Even Flow
Guessing you haven't ever played in a band! The Adrenaline rush makes it VERY difficult to keep the tempo down
John Austen Liam Locklear Robert Hay I think the main reason is because they're playing a timed set that's strictly enforced. Playing songs a bit faster allows them more leeway time-wise.
wwejeffhardy619TV Probably, but I'm the singer of a band, and John Austen is 100% right. When the adrenaline's pumping, you don't realize how fast you're playing until afterwards, especially with a song like this. I'm sure that even with a band this huge, when they literally hear everyone in the crowd scream along to their songs, that just pumps the adrenaline even more!
I certainly notice when my band's playing a song faster when I'm running out of breathe faster ;)
+John Austen A Day To Remember uses a click track. The tempo is set and a metronome is playing in their in ear monitors.

I fucking love A Day to Remember but it sucks that people have to make excuses as to why they don't sound good live. Nothing like the good old days where your favorite band sounded good live and on the record.
What do you mean? I saw them last month and they're a great live band.
I've seen them live also. They put on one hell of a show and its a ton of fun, but musically they aren't that great. Jeremy is off key the majority of the time.
Mark Wolf every band that does constant touring for years will always sound bad live, and this is especially true for bands that scream. Even with proper technique when you're singing/screaming that aggressively all the time you will ruin your voice. This song's top note is an A4, and for a tenor (the high voice of men) this is near the top of their range at just 3 semitones below the end of their range C5. This song came out in 2009. This video was shot in 2012. That's 3 years of touring with this song that has singing real high notes (for men) and screaming in it. Also. ADTR has been touring since 2003. This man has been singing high and screaming for 9 years by the time this video was shot. The reason why he's off key most of the time is because his voice just cannot sing that high anymore. He could make the songs in a lower key so he sings lower, but then the band would have to downtune their instruments, and since they are already in drop C it would get ridiculously low. Plus, he would have to do his growl lower because the screams do in fact have a pitch. At least they can put on a great show!

That’s called stage presence. When bands do it well, it hyped up the crowd, so they actually feel more involved, which is why he’s walking to both sides of the stage. it helps so it doesn’t seem like he’s only paying attention (or not paying attention at all) to one side of the crowd or the other.
You’ll notice that the head lining bands usually do this best, which is why they’re the head liners.
Sadly the following morning when mother creeped up the stairs to awaken Gaylord from his nights slumber.... *HIGH PITCHED SCREECH* *CHINA CRASHING* *SADNESS*.... screen fades to black.
