I generally don't buy Marvel Legends figures, but I love the design of the Hydra Stomper; it's got a nice Fallout vibe going on. Your pose with Carter riding the Stomper has sold me on both, excellent review too. 👍👍
Xcorpeo, the sculpt is excellent. The lack of paint application can be overlooked though a wash would of been ideal. Posing The Hydra stomper with Captain Carter was a thing of beauty 🙂. I always enjoy your content.

I wanna customize this figure so I can cut open the torso and have a opening faeux cockpit. Is the torso a solid plastic or is it similar to the hollow/hard plastic that they used on the torso of the hulkbuster baf?

It looks ok but I think it needs some paint on it. The olive drab just looks cheap to me honestly.
Maybe dry brush some silver metallic paint over the edges to suggest wear. Possibly even some rust.

He *really* should’ve had drop down hip joints
That would be a challenge to execute, cause his current hip joints already don't work the best in a neutral stance
