Nocan was going off this year BUT he showed no gamesmanship by yelling at Franco as he was rapping. And also, who was the guy that ran out to Nocan after the round and what did he say? That was also sketch if he fed him a line.
That was Fresh Coast for the first few years in general, the poor sportsmanship, talking over shit etc. Not defending it, but there was a difference in how they all operated I think just because the competition was so crazy and it was a lot of intense characters, so it became normal. As far as feeding the line, I think (I'd have to check) it was Mac Lethal. That shit's pretty normal tbh. Shit I've fed lines before. Regardless, that battle is fucked up because NoCan got the extra round. Ultimately beyond it being the DJ and host's fault, if you are Franco in that situation, you have to just go ahead and rap and take that extra round yourself, and not 'play fair'. It's up to you to adjust and overcome fucked up circumstances. I think I've hosted about 75 freestyle battle events at this point and if I've learned one thing it's you've got to run with it, whatever it may be.
@@KellyBetz preciate the insight! Yeah I think that extra round happened with Illmac and Mac Lethal in the finals too, even though it probably made no difference that year. Just subscribed to your channel. Thanks for uploading all these throwbacks. I try and keep up with these guys. Alot of them have fallen off, no trace. And others are still getting after it. Miss these battle days and the format along with WRC and GTN. Not a fan of today's format.
Count it, No rapped 5 times and Franc went 4 times. Total fkn bs. He started his fifth with " this is the moment of truth " man he was about to go off. Great battle regardless
For a long time I didn't think Tut was that great, but I think he's got a really strong presence that overpowers. Makes it look pretty effortless, which has a huge appeal next to all these guys yelling in a more tense way
@@KellyBetz Tut is one of those people that can make you laugh just by talking -- "LoOK dOG". Dude came up w/ some good, PERSONAL punches, and usually could give em back to back. I think he was dope and deserved all his scribble wins, though at the same time it is almost painful to watch him battle The Saurus; both times I think Tut tried but ran out of steam very quickly, and just got annihilated...
It's irrelevant nowadays, but Doomsday got jerked so bad in the main event. In my opinion one of the worst robberies in Scribble Jam. Even PH said in his own video of the event that he couldn't understand how the other judges could vote for Adlib. Oh well, it's all in the past. Doesn't matter now!
Tut vs Thesaurus was dope though. Overall I think this year had some really entertaining battles, way more than 06 at least imo. 06 was pretty shit yeah, but there where some good ones in there as well. Tantrum vs Mox for example, and Thesaurus, Tut and Reef had some really dope performances. Yeah 05 sure was the golden year. But to be fair; not all battles that year where great either.
@@MarkusH90 I’m an Aussie and I remember thinking Justice killed it in 05 but when I go back and watch it now I think thesaurus beat him and so did Solomon. It should have been those two in the final round.
@@BBQshapesKING I agree. When I watched it way back I used to think Justice won clearly. Looking back now I don't think so. Irons rounds against justice was clearly better and Thesaurus edged all rounds imo, except the last one sadly where he lost momentum. It is what it is though!
I got a suggestion for you Exercise How about a trampoline a treadmill T U you fittin be dead for real Watch your cholesterol and watch your fuckin diet ease back on the food baby you should try it Oh, I guess I'm still rappin
You can't be serious, that's one of the most lopsided battles in scribble jam - aspire entire first round was a scripted verse about saurus being a vampire lol
Nocan and Franc were in rare form that night. Such a great finals
7:31 this fucking guy hahahah JIGGA LIPS - and the boos after lol
2007 Nocando improved so much compared to 2005
God dam, NoCanDo frekin lethal this year
PH as MC was legit tho
I know this is old but how the hell did Franco beat thesaurus….
Its The Saurus breath control
Pete lost his voice
“Remote controlled car” was too recycled. Gotta come up with fresh material
Anyone know the beat at 0:00 please
My adiddas run dmc
Imagine driving around slappin this in the hood 😂

I feel like Elfamail may have had an arguably better two rounds than Tuts.
For a long time I didn't think Tut was that great, but I think he's got a really strong presence that overpowers. Makes it look pretty effortless, which has a huge appeal next to all these guys yelling in a more tense way
I personally think that he stumbled a little bit too much at the end, and Tut was just more solid throughout.

Lmao most of these are so bad or have the fake illmatic flow where was this filmed? Im not better just wondering
Last 3 battles are dope. Most of the others are pretty lame. Scribble went down hill after 05. This one was better than 06 though that shit was weak

After 2000 it got pretty lame.
Why is everyone screaming at each other, hip hop died a little bit tonight!
No can do won a competition of no competition as a hip hop fanatic we all loss tonight 😢
This is were everyone wanted to think they could be eyedea😮
Nah Eyedea was far removed from the battle scene in back in 07. He was already publishing poetry books and stuff by this point.
Eyedea rolling in his grave garbage
He was here. Enjoying himself
Listening to several time I think Aspire beat Saurus
You can't be serious, that's one of the most lopsided battles in scribble jam - aspire entire first round was a scripted verse about saurus being a vampire lol
Please tell me you’re kidding
Aspire's second is really good that people forget how bad his first was. If there was a one-rounder of only their seconds, things may be different.
Aspire did beat Thesaurus
You get no props for being lucky enough to spit your best written verse against your worst enemy and it not be very good...
99%of this shit terrible
Charles Barkley terrible this is the reason eyedea got hooked on opiates, no saving pure rap battle after this!
Fr fr what state this from lmao
I think franc won the first thoe
Real deal beat Thesaurus as well.
Are you kidding me
Aspire beat Thesaurus.
