"To the Beat!" is a 2018 American teen musical film that immerses viewers in a world of teenage dreams, friendship and ambition. The film was directed by Gillian Clarkson and stars talented young actors such as Laura Krier, Braden Foster and Veronica Staegers.
The plot revolves around two 14-year-old twin sisters Mia and Mackenzie, who are connected not only by kinship, but also by a passion for dancing. Girls have been dancing all their lives and dream of achieving success in this field. When a popular pop idol announces a competition for the best video for his new song, Mia and Mackenzie decide to take part. The winner of the competition will have the opportunity to be a dancer in the celebrity's next music video, which could be a springboard for a future career.
However, on the way to their dream, the sisters face many challenges. An unexpected obstacle arises in the form of their neighbor and longtime rival Avery, who also decides to enter the competition. Avery, being no less talented and ambitious, does everything possible to win.
