Look at those colors....stunning! It's so true on the premium vs. budget friendly canvases. My decision is based on 2 things: (1) how much detail is in the picture; and (2) if it's something I want to work on just for fun I always go with the budget friendly but if I want to hang/display it I will go with the premium canvas, which is very rare for me so I have very few premium canvases. As for the wax vs. putty: I always have a little container of each by my current WIP because you never know which will work better from day to day. It just depends on the day, the weather or how dusty the drills are.
OMG...speaking of Dreamer....did you see that new painting called Warmth of Autumn coming out soon? 38 people already have it in their wish list. I absolutely love it and would have it in my cart too but I am on a very strict budget for a while because taking 3 unplanned weeks off work put me a little behind...sad face! Great photos and chat. Larger canvases always will be better.
Thats why tvs keep getting more pixelated. More pixels more chance for colours.
The same for cross stitch.
Always always step a distance away from a project to view it. All paintings will look bad if youre close enough. Lighting also makes a huge difference. As well as the angle youre viewing at. I love walking by my projects bc at first glance theyre "eh" but from the side some are just gorgeous
If you can't afford name brand special kits, dont buy them. Your craft shouldn't put you in debt ( i heard that somewhere this week).
More money spent means more work, workers, quality and time spent just to make the painting.
Thankfully we all have options :)

Hi granny, I am late on comments. Your health group sounds good. I think I told you, I had a total knee replacement. It did not turn out well. I can walk. But not far. Linda, I thought this might help Gadget Girl. The way I send pictures on my android phone is I take a picture with the camera on my phone and go to my email and write you a note and then attach the picture to the email and send it. Hope this helps. Hugs! HAGN! Love you!
