I heard this song for the first time after being diagnosed with cancer. I am now cancer free after emergency surgery. Thank you for this song, it has become my anthem.
I've always kind of suspect LH might cure....somethin. For myself, they have cured the scarcity of good tunes. I've been pre-ordered by the music doctor in my head to take a big dose of Long Lost on May 20, but Amazon is threatening to withhold it until the 27th. Curse you, evil Doc Bezos. If my brain dies, it's on you!
Congrats! Hope you're doing well, feeling better. Scary huh? I had a double cancer(the good kind haha) diagnosis after routine surgery, luckily only 1 radiation treatment needed. WAY TO GO US! lol
I'm 60, this album is a great discovery- my wife really likes it too; i've ordered it and it should arrive just in time for our 35th wedding anniversary.

They have various musical styles and talent, which makes them unique as a band, and their harmonies are off the charts, even that country song la fleur belle savauge was their own thing, they didn’t try to copy the “country voice” or typical tune you hear so many times like a broken record You can listen to most bands across the globe and you hear one style, every songs gonna be a rock song or metal, or rap with maybe a rare 1 song ballad Not these guys, nope. That’s why they’ll forever be one of if not my favorite band. Aside from maybe rap or metal, I think this band is capable of just about any style they want
That overdriven guitar -- or whatever it is -- that starts to majestically soar over the surf-music "beats" at about the mid-point just pops the last kernel of my Orville Reddenbacher's. One of the most gorgeous pairings I've ever heard. And I think it's in the same key as the organ chords for the Tubbs Tarbell "outro." Sure hope that part makes it onto the CD (only buy uncompressed music, kids!)

Every time I hear a new Lord Huron song it's like reading a new chapter or watching the perfect sequel. The visual storytelling they are able to create with their lyrics and music is astonishing.
The first line of "Dead Man's Party" by Oingo Boingo: 🎶All dressed up with nowhere to go...🎶 The first line of "Not Dead Yet" by Lord Huron: 🎶All messed up with nowhere to go...🎶 I fucking LOVE it.
