just to preface, this is NOT a supercut of every single beauyasha moment. instead, i wanted to collect the key moments that really showcased their development (which turned out to be 3 hours long anyway). i had a lot of fun making it (and got emotional watching it multiple times), and i hope it accurately captures their journey.

I love watching Marisha falling for Ashley’s character as much as Beau does, almost immediately
she really went into the campaign with the "i'm gonna romance the shit out of ashley's character" mindset xD
Iirc she actually had no intention of doing romance at all in C2. She created Beau to just be a “fuckboi” love em and leave em type through the whole campaign. The romance just developed on its own as the characters themselves developed and formed a bond, at least according to the players in the c2 wrap up.
As much as Ashley falling for Marisha's character. Even after 3 years, she's still deeply in love with Beau

This definitely ranks up there with The Mighty Nope's lengthy supercut. A compact, three-hour journey of how our sapphic sentinels went from strangers to friends to (brief) enemies to friends once more to lovers to soulmates to eventual wives. A journey of hope, redemption, healing, love, and breaking free of the chains of the past. And how despite all odds, not only did they survive the worst that was sent their way, even not having died once in battle, and not only did they endure even against fate trying to get them to kill each other instead, but they also got their happy ending.
Yasha Nydoorin, a woman raised as a weapon by her tribe and those wanting to use her for their own means, can finally rest and live a peaceful life, the life she always wanted but was denied in the past, as she can finally hang up her sword at long last, no longer needing to wield it again.
Beauregard Lionett, a woman who was denied even the most basic notions of love and care by an abusive father and a system she grew to despise under false pretenses, can finally live free of those chains and be appreciated for who she really is: a champion of truth and justice, and a fierce protector who loves her found family so fiercely.

I don't know why, but when Yasha blurts out "I fell in love with you at Kamordah", I get tears and gooseflesh every single time. I've watched the date scene close to a dozen times now. and it gets me every damn time.
yo the kamordah eps literally make me so emotional, after the date i went and watched how ashley looked during those episodes cause you can see the cogs turning in her head. my heart 😭
@@eggpassion Oh, doesn’t that moment between Yasha and Beau’s dad take on so much more meaning? It’s not a threat, it’s protecting what’s hers. That and Yasha is in the hag’s house in a flash once she realizes what Beau is about to do - “You want pain and I’ve got it in spades.”

I love seeing these two fall in love all over again, but I also love seeing Yasha start to become more and more goofy and relaxed as time goes on. This vid was no doubt a beast to put together, but it's much appreciated.
This is perfect. I much prefer videos that have meaningful moments than long ones that you have to skip through to get to the good ones.

Seeing as we are going to have a Mighty Nein Reunion 2-shot soon, feels right to revisit this journey.
This captures the development of their overall relationship so well, 11/10 Would and have watch(ed) multiple times.
It’s the oddest thing. I’d been out for a while before I started even thinking about dnd, and way before I found critical role. Somehow, though, trying to play made me feel insecure about myself again, mainly because I was terrified of making others uncomfortable and ruining it. Then I started watching Campaign 2, and found these idiots, and man it was like having the freedom to come out again. Thank you so much, CR. You do good work.

Marisha once said she never actually asked Ashley if it was OK to carry on. I wonder if she ever actually did but I guess how it played out, kind of answers the question. Actions sometimes speak louder than words.

Molly was never my favorite but is hands down the sharpest, charismatic main character of Critical Role and I can see the appeal. He was the only one who could deal with Beau.

hi there!! i would say romance is definitely not the focus of critical role so it is a lot to watch through JUST for that, and there is a large amount of time where ashley isn't there because of work obligations. however the themes of found family are immaculate and the story and worldbuilding is incredible so if those things interest you, the beau and yasha of it all might be a nice benefit!

I just really want to see their relationship without having to wait years to catch up. I think I'm going to go ahead and watch this because I'm currently trying to keep up with the new campaign haha. It’s a joke about being a lesbian. In this case, fish market is loosely referencing female anatomy
i think its a joke related to the start of the campaign when beau said jails are not her favourite terrain
The whole “favored terrain” thing was a joke from Campaign 1, where Vex kept noting about her favored terrain. The “fishmarket” bit is about how she is a lesbian and female anatomy can be referred to as a fishmarket, as sometimes some women can have a fishy smell.

@@astroeditscr Tried to rewatch after watching Laudna and Imogen to see if my opinion changed. I feel like they have way better chemistry with whatever they end up as. If it is any consolation I still think Vax and Keyleth was the worst romance, and I know I’m in the minority in this community with that opinion.

You know exactly how I meant by using the word "forced," and it wasn't that they chose to make a creative decision, but that there wasn't any chemistry. Harry and Ginny in the books felt way less "forced" than Harry and Ginny in the movies. Yasha and Beau were Harry and Ginny from the movies.
