- Iliza Shlesinger is known for being one of today’s leading comedians with 5 Netflix specials. This set was from her second appearance on Showtime in the comedy special "Bridging The Gap" were Jewish and Muslim American comedians came together to share one night of laughter.
In 2017, Iliza released her first book, Girl Logic: The Genius and the Absurdity (Hachette Book Group). In November 2019, she premiered her 5th Netflix stand up special Unveiled, which delves into her journey of getting married. Her past specials include War Paint, Freezing Hot, and Confirmed Kills. Iliza’s last Netflix special, 2018’s Elder Millennial, is the subject of Iliza Shlesinger: Over & Over, her “fan-u- mentary” which is currently streaming and gives fans an inside look into what goes into the making of one of her specials.

@@giulitorelli Schlesinger is not an exclusively Jewish surname. It's a regional surname from Silesia and is shared by both Jews and Germans hailing from there. It literally means "Silesian" in German.

I've seen a lot of her videos. This one is different. Different material, i.e., more serious subject matter. Different presentation style. Different look.
She has so many expressions in these few minutes its Krazy.
Sometimes she makes me laugh.
Other times I laugh on my own.

I love comedians, the smartest people around! Agree or disagree, they are on point- they take the ridiculous to obvious Insanity to prove how stupid some of our norms are.
I think comedians In general are not crucified for their lack of any filters. They can bring out social, religious and political disparities in a way that explains their total absurdity with out repercussions.
She is shifting her act into something new. And it is good. Not Chapelle good, but seems she is on that path now. Good luck.
