they are more aggressive in some ways, but not in others, also depending how much of a problem you are you can get arrested the first time in nfs 3 if you have pissed them off enough, however both the games have aggressive cops in diffrent ways, now if they combined the two with this type of music agein, and the older more cooky maps it would make the perfect legacy nfs hp game ever created.
Because this sound and genre is timeless, just oozes quality and melts your brain. Now, games and their tunes are a product of their time, and 3 years later, something new becomes trendy and that old thing is old hat, possibly obsolete. This on the other hand transcends eras and will sound great even 50 years later.
I agree but I disagree, NFS still have great soundtracks. They always try to mix the different kinds of popular music of that time into the game. I still miss these and dnb :/ I wish they could make a really decent NFS and show Forza it's boring now.
Try the same with the pursuit version of the same car. Park it somewhere, turn off the headlight and press the siren mode to watch the awesome flashing lights with the rain and this music at Atlantica- simply amazing!
Oh my god! You did the same thing I used to do. I would do that exact same setup, except I would do it with one vs one, 8 laps, hard mode, where there is cops with spike strips. Best hardcore race EVER
Ladies and Gentlemen. July 3, 2023, will be remembered as the first Need For Speed III: Hot Pursuit video to reach one million views. Historic moment for my favorite era of this saga, despite being overshadowed by the Black Box era. It's good to know that there are still people who visit and revisit the legendary soundtrack of this title. Thanks for reading this. And have a nice and beautiful day.
thank you, also heck ya, regardless of what's better or newer, those are valid, and what's also valid is enjoying and making the most of other past gems, too ❤️
Takes me back to being 11-12 yo. NFS 3 was the thing that really put me down the path of psytrance. Saki Kaskas (RIP), Rom Di Prisco formative figures in my musical taste. Legends. I remember when NFS started having almost all licensed crap was also when the franchise started going downhill (not that they are correlated).
Sypaka Yes, i know that game and i used to play it on my PS2 back in the day but i don't remember OST from that game... Thanks man, i need to check out that :) Nostalgia trip is always welcomed! Edit: oh, sorry... you probably meant the N64 game because the PS2 game was called Extreme G3.
TheSonicEnergy same here but i played it first in 2005! and dont get me wrong but i think its better than any nfs nowdays. The soundtracks are matching the scenery/map and listening to them is totaly awesome. todays racing soundtracks are often crap.
What I love about 90's electronic/techno music is that for it's time it was considered a bit cheesy. But it became noticeably more asthetic as it aged.
The old NFS series: When you came to race to be first, and didn't need a back story for motivation. Also, wicked music to help you focus! Before the days of UA-cam, and downloading things, I had to have these songs in my first car while driving. So, I got a tape recorder, and went through all of my favorite tracks and recorded each of them on to a mixtape. I labeled it "THE NEED."
I copy 1:35 in my own music as a tribute, listen to my sun in your eyes remix at soundcloud.com/argitoth forward to 4:48 actually the entire piece of music is heavily Need for Speed influenced.
This track brings back fond memories of racing through Aquatica’s underwater tunnel for the first time as a kid. One of the most unique and cool maps in any racing game I’ve ever played. Miss those days…
3:25 Urban utopia now gives way to an exciting coastline driving experience. You have to possess superior driving skills to make good times on this formidable course.
Can't even begin to describe the memories with this game and its amazing music. This game basically started my love for trance music and also was responsible for making me become the car enthusiast that I am today. Thank you NFS and Rom Di Prisco for the timeless memories back in 1999 to the early 2000s. :)
Wholeheartedly agree. This soundtrack was amazing along with the audio tech of the game. Not only did speed matter, but your position in the race, where you were on the track, and if you were in first place. The music was never designed to be played straight like this.
On Atlantica reverse I love the spike strip on the high speed section. They line it up perfectly to where if you were going fast enough, you will jump right over it
I cannot believe how many memories this video has brought to me, countless years playing this game back then, PSX was way ahead of history of games, I miss so much those ol' times.
This is the sound of our childhood, this type of music could be playing in the background while showcasing any car in the game, and it will sound like a legendary car no matter what. This music is a gem to this day and will always be this way. Rom Di Prisco, if you are reading this, please know that this music is what made everything complete, everything amazing. I have played your music for raves and fire performances, everyone loves it. A true NFS game has your music in it. I believe I speak for many when I say, keep going!
Rom, great, underrated, my most favorite musician, i love ALL his music, especially his 1999-2003 music. Bitstream Dream, Machineries Of Heaven, Error 010, Meta-Morph VII, timeLab, just fantastic. And Saki Kaskas, another great, but sadly passed away in november 2016, great composer with live music, and i love Crispin Hands' music from Porsche Unleashed. I also love those voices from Bitstream Dream: Serena Whitters (my favorite "Touch The Sky" House Remix, really beautiful song with beautiful mood, sadly unpopular and has only 1k views on YT) Jenna Ferone Anji Bee Sonja Castlefield
Brings back so many memories playing this game. Staying up late trying to unlock the next cars!!Awesome soundtrack overall. Kudos to the designers and creators. Mercedes Benz CLK GTR!!!
I loved playing this entire game! I spent countless hours playing in Tournament mode and Knockout mode just to open the other tracks!!! Brings back such memories..... 😊
You are not alone. *Insert earbuds. Increase volume. Close your eyes. It's 1998 again* Oonce with us in your dome. Fire beats throughout this soundtrack! Those old PS games also featured track-style CD properties when you popped em into a CD-only player. Just like the old Madden games. Yup, I'm thaaat old. These games and soundtracks pioneered a generation of gamers long before it was profitable or trendy because a hermit needed a Twitch feed for an income.
Oh, my God!! The memories this song brings back. Tearing through the streets in my bright yellow Diablo SV, police in pursuit, barely able to keep pace as I achieve speeds in excess of 200 mph, missing oncoming traffic by mere inches. All the while this was playing in the background, making me feel like I was in some action movie. Back when Need for Speed was good.
Someone youtube channel influencer person needs to interview Rom Di Prisco about his time making this music for NFS and the history behind him getting the gig to compose it, and what he does now
If I recall correctly he was sending demo cassette tapes out to game studios back in the mid nineties. And it just so happened that EA wanted to get some electronica music in their games as well, so it must have worked out perfectly!
+Titán Bravo (Wartitan) Now all they need to do is get rid of all that "pimp my ride yolo I'm in da club" pile of garbage to revert to the classics and then I might be interested. For now, its still NFS Hot Pursuit 2010 all the way (with a playslist of classic songs in the background anyway). Hardly a reason to buy this pile of garbage filled with fluorescent christmas trees racing in streets in my opinion.
Dude!!! When at the first second of the song you still have that great nostalgy comes back in your head, the first notes of music make me feel like "okay, here... We... GOOO !"
Air stuff17 I don't mind if they put shit music into the game just give me the option to choose what I want to listen to or add a Custom radio like in GTA
Air stuff17 they did this to every GTA since GTA III on PC. This new game The Crew came out, I read multiple suggestions on their forums during the beta for such idea but they didn't gave a shit.
Was in love with the gameplay and music... so much. Back in the 90's... before my mind was a bit (or alot screwed) by newer games and the world :( There was a sense of magic... now I play piano and I learned about programming... a good deal of it is lost, but in a sense, I appreciate it in a different way
Anabolic Camel... the ironic thing is that the same composer of this song(Romolo Di Prisco) actually made some songs for Fortnite that were implemented in the game.;)

Man...Awesome is an understatement for this song..and what you've done Zonda01..Thanx dude. No surprise this has the most views...coz Atlantica was the shietttttttt!!! Aquatica too..but a lil' harder :P
I remember playing with my dads old windows 98 laptop when I was a kid. He was never into games but had all these pc games. For some reason at school no one believed me that I had need for speed 3, they said it didn’t exist and it confused the f outa me. Anyways, this game is my childhood and you can feel the care and love put into it. 10/10 would race again
I remember playing NFS III: Hot Pursuit back in 1998 and years afterward. I'd spend hours playing this. Great memories. One of my favorite racing games of all-time.
i'm brazilian and i play this amazing game since 2010 i think i will never forget this masterpiece who remembers the tracks was amazing and the cars were even more hopeful to do a remake of this game
+Mario Cisneros One of the reason NFS went downhill after HP2. They started doing those stupid rap songs instead of these classic techno and trance songs composed specially for the game
That was because they started this stupid trend with this ricer games, basicly Fast and Furious with NFS name on. Since that NFS has been shitty in my oppinion, only those stupid ricer kids love those games. Because most of them was not born when the NFS series started up, so i cant take those guys serisiluy. Just take Black Panthah as an example, he is basicly the voice of todays plastic NFS fans.
@@nfsboss88 I can't stand today's nfs games I only play the ps1 era games and Hot Pursuit 2 on the PS2 anything after 2002 in the Need For Speed franchise except most wanted 2012 I hate.
@@Highrollinhunter Agree man except iprefer the pc version of those 90s games. i feel the pursuits are more realisitic on he pc version of Hot Pursuit 1 and High Stakes. On Ps1 its too arcady and wierd if you ask me, i dont like how the police behave and that they are shouting, i prefer the radioversion in pc version.
I got really into eletronic music, especially trance, these days and remembered the masterpiece that is the soundtrack of this game. Then it came to me, my taste for electronic music was probably molded by NFS III and was dormant all these years! I played the game when I was a little kid
Back when games used to have split screen... Me and m buddy would go in hot pursuit mode and we would drive to the canals with the cops chasing us. then we would go in the canals and jump the road doing handbrake 360's over the cops and try not to get busted. Ah the simple things that amused us! good times!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and the music of these old nfs games just brings me right back.
Back again, many years later. I'm 24 yrs old now and was born in 1993. Had the honor this game and need for speed iv high stakes. Glad to be hearing this again. Still beautiful as ever
I remember the first time I saw NFS, I was in a shopping mall, kids area. I was 7 years old, it was the third of the series. Fudge! I was thinking all the time in this particular song, and shoot! da game of course! Since that day I am quite keen on the NFS series, specifically the old school...THANKS 4 uploading dude...
There's an undescriptable emotion i feel when listening to NFS songs, i don't know if its wether for its awesomeness or cause it reminds me of my childhood, but sometimes they make me drop a tear!...
The SV on the Diablo would change color to black, red and blue depending on the body color. If you want to make the car black, but want the blue SV logo, then you can pull the custom color to red and fully black, and slowly change the triangle part to be a little reddish.
Yeah the EA audio staff really pushed for interactive music for the early NFS games, where the music would change based on where you are on the track, how fast you’re going, what position you’re in or what lap you’re on, and so on! :)
I could live with a feeling that I made so many epic tracks rememembered by gamers of the past age for so many years and not made a career in EDM. So much more talent and captured emotions of speed.
Agree i love listen too that police radio, i loved the voices it was so entertaining. In todays NFS games the police radio is so boring. I wish we could have a game like this again, NFS hp2 also had a awsome policeradio bythe way.
Usually what I would do at that point in the game I would take the high tunnel and go around and I would use a little bit of the handbrake to Kang come into the turn just a little bit each time while keeping on the accelerator and doing power slides
Spread the word; Time for a real Need for Speed reunion type game. An open world representing the whole series, and all the cars from the past 20 plus games, with this music. Cadillac Escalade passing through Rocky Pass with a Lamborghini LM002 police truck behind it, and then out of nowhere, a Diablo SV goes around the Cadillac!
there's no other racing game were you can drive in a Ferrari in a underwater tunnel Aquarium. 180mph with two cops corvette chasing you
And there is no other nfs game with more aggressive cops than this one.
they are more aggressive in some ways, but not in others, also depending how much of a problem you are you can get arrested the first time in nfs 3 if you have pissed them off enough, however both the games have aggressive cops in diffrent ways, now if they combined the two with this type of music agein, and the older more cooky maps it would make the perfect legacy nfs hp game ever created.
To sum up it all, it isn't about the super graphics (wich we have today) it is the playability & soul of the game that counts right?
+kzbxvz you sir your right! I'm just taking notice of this discussion lol.
Yes and a new year with hopes for a new era in the gaming industry in general just like it was in the 1980's & 90's :)
CRAZY to think that a soundtrack produced by 2-3 people back in the 90's still stands out better than the soundtracks put into games these days.
Together with the soundtracks from NFSSE, these are my favourite techno soundtracks... That's even 1994!
Because this sound and genre is timeless, just oozes quality and melts your brain.
Now, games and their tunes are a product of their time, and 3 years later, something new becomes trendy and that old thing is old hat, possibly obsolete. This on the other hand transcends eras and will sound great even 50 years later.

They did an awesome job there.

Eat this Tiësto!
Before tiesto for sure
Tiesto did trance, this is techno. Both are fantastic but unfortunately Tiesto sold his soul to the EDM devil. :(
I got really into eletronic music, especially trance, these days and remembered the masterpiece that is the soundtrack of this game. Then it came to me, my taste for electronic music was probably molded by NFS III and was dormant all these years! I played the game when I was a little kid
It all started 25 years ago with this song and those cars. After HP 2, nothing was the same. (Originally published in 2010, edited in 2023).
Still listening in 2017. :D Born in 93 yo
Still beautiful as ever
bruh wtf never played this game and yt recommended me this track yo this shit is fire
Classic game, you should try it
THIS IS PURE NOSTALGIC JOY RN
I remember the first time I saw NFS, I was in a shopping mall, kids area. I was 7 years old, it was the third of the series. Fudge! I was thinking all the time in this particular song, and shoot! da game of course! Since that day I am quite keen on the NFS series, specifically the old school...THANKS 4 uploading dude...
Even RTX STX or TTX cannot match the quality of this stuff. This music right here is the embodiment of how games used to be back then.
We need a NFS 3 REMASTER!!!!
The music use change throughout the stage as you drive. It stay the same if you don't move. I was a kid a notice that when I was driving.
Yeah the EA audio staff really pushed for interactive music for the early NFS games, where the music would change based on where you are on the track, how fast you’re going, what position you’re in or what lap you’re on, and so on! :)
Yeah man , the new game soundtracks sucks .. This track reminds of an old days ...
This music is part of my childhood
Fuck new games music, my homies love old music
It's 2020 - 20 Years later .... still a amazing Soundtrack.
Childhood Memories! Thanks Rom for this Masterpiece!
"Twenty-Eight County... Requesting a roadblock."
Had this game on the PC and man! Playing as the cops was a blast!
*332 to Central
Ok , Year 2023 and This is still AMAZING!!!
God, the music is so awesome! I think we need an HD Collection of NFS2, this, and High Stakes on current systems!
I heard the first 5 seconds and was like YESSSSSSSSSS!
Pure nostalgia!
I could live with a feeling that I made so many epic tracks rememembered by gamers of the past age for so many years and not made a career in EDM. So much more talent and captured emotions of speed.
I'll be waiting for the day that this video hits one million views.
Even if most of them aren't unique. ONE MILLION VIEWS!!!
Yeahhhhh
708k now. Almost there
@@Blueflag04 3/4ths of a million now. At the rate it's going at it'll probably take at least another 2 years.
901K now :)

It’s real classic trance music . With big respect from Russia , I’m 35
I´m listening to this song with my Beyerdynamic MMX. Brutal. Awesome. Good old times. Let´s hope for the new NfS 2015.
dude thanx i was looking for these tracks for a long time
much appreciated !!!
Khaled Zaatar omg can this happen please?
I'm working on it.
YES, Finally! this is the best version of this track i've heard since i've played the game god knows when, thank you!
Rom di Prisco .... Rom di Prisco everywhere
90s game music was way ahead of the curve.
Still a banger.
The race tracks and the soundtrack bring back my teenage high dopamine levels.
Atlantica + Mercedes Benz CLK GTR = Pure epicness
Agree 101%
Beautiful music.
This is much better than the recent NFS soundtracks, EA should bring back the real racing music!
ahhhh went back to the 90s... i melted this game cd, awesome days
ATLANTICA: 0:00
AQUATICA: 3:27
PURSUIT MODE: 6:39
Spectacular!!! Some special real DJ make this music IMMORTAL. Make a memorial remix.
