I have had a Huion Tablet for a long time, (not this one, but a very similar one, I see we don't have the same chords) like a year or so. I am so pleased with it, though I should use it alot more, and since I don't have really that much experince with other tablets it's easy to say that I'm pleased with this. I had a problem with my screen after a few months and I had to contact customer service from where I bought it, after they had checked into it they contacted Huion and after a few days they sent me a new one, and not just a new screen but the whole package, and I only had to send back my faulty screen to them.
Very comprehensive and concise look at opening the box. wonderful editing! showing the drawing speeded it up. Fabulous relevant review and personal insight.. and thanks for the Lefty view of things
Thank you so much for the review and helpful user information! I definitely want to get a desktop tablet at some point, but not quite yet. Will definitely be revisiting this. I also loved your drawing! The traveling cat is so cute, and I love the background you did!
@@danatheswaggiestmaybe start out with a cheaper tablet that doesn’t have a screen like a Wacom bamboo or intuos. It’s a rectangle you set on your desk and use a stylus with while looking up at your computer monitor. Kinda something to get used to with the hand eye coordination aspect but it’s usually way cheaper than a tablet with a display screen like this huion. Then try out a program like clip studio paint when there’s a sale or there’s some pretty good free programs out there like gimp. If you want a screen experience maybe try an iPad with procreate installed. I also find the transition from traditional to digital is easier if you sketch on paper and then import a photo/scan of the sketch into your program and do the line art on a layer above it. Sketching digitally can be hard for me
@@MelvilleG but i nearly ever see a tablet review from left handed artist. atleast not that I could find. if you know some and can give them to me that would be appreciated. I know lots of ARTIST are left handed but alot of the tablets are designed for right handed. and to be able to have them working nicely for lefthanded people is sometimes quite a struggle
Lefties unite!!!!🎉❤ I haven’t seen many other left handed artists here on YT, so nice to have one recommended to me🥰 Whenever I see reviewers they never mention things that might be relevant to lefties 😢
I just bought one of these, and it has been a nightmare trying to get it set up for left-hand use. That is how I came to this video, have watched quite a few about setting up left-handed and it seems impossible to set up the way I want, with the monitor and tablet duplicated but of course both right-side up! (Sadly you did not cover that here, but enjoyed your video!) I have to use an extended set up which is very frustrating. The worst is that any app I am using on the tablet stays on the tablet screen even if I shut the tablet down and put it out of the way; I have to move each app back to my monitor (which has to be the main screen for the pen cursor to actually show up on the tablet) before I shut down the tablet. I also had the same issue of having to reinstall the driver several times when I was rotating the screen 180 because one thing or another kept failing, such as pen pressure. Overall very frustrating. I would not buy again.
I was just watching reviews for this specific tablet! I’ve had my Cintiq 13Hd for about 6 years now and I’m looking for an upgrade. Ahhh I really wanna get this tablet so baaaad 😭
That's such a cute and whimsical illustration! I love the colours. The cable looks like it's identical on both sides, so couldn't you flip it around so the wire points up for left hand orientation?
I have the Huion Kamvas Pro 13 2.5k and I know exactly what you mean about the cables. I am left handed too. It was a pain to set up but it works. I think though if you bought two seperate flexible USB-C cables you can run it instead of the combi cable
I've an old GTX 1060 3gb graphics card, can I use this model for digital sculpting without any lag with this card? my main concern is will my card be able to pull off 2.5k without any lag? kindly reply.
Great review of the tablet. Do you have the actual dimensions of the tablet? I can’t find anywhere online the actual dimensions of the unit so it’s hard to gauge the physical size it will be on my desk space. I’m selling my Cintiq 24 HD as it’s absolutely huge! I’ve been creating art on my iPad Pro 12 for a while now but want something a little larger. 😊
I haven't found any reviews that show how it works on an android phone. I hope someone will do it someday just to see if there are any compatibility issues.
This may be irrelevant advice as your comment is a tad old. You personally may not really notice much of a difference over 3 inches and the increase in price may not be great value. I would stress that you're better looking at the actual product dimensions for reference to see if it is a size you'd be comfortable working on. The size of 13 or 16inch is referring to the space you actually can draw on, but it doesn't include the bezels around the sides, this can differ quite a lot. My biggest regret when I was younger was blind buying the much older, larger Wacom intuos and cintiq models. Then being shocked them being WAY too big to comfortably use with my setup, sometimes the smaller sizes are better to work on imo.
Has anyone ever found a protective case that snuggly fits the Huion Kamvas Pro 2.5K? I bought a case on Amazon but didn't realize it had a lot of height empty space.
What drawing app/software do you use? I just got a similar tablet and am trying to figure out the best to use. (preferably free version as I'm starting off) I'm open to anyone's advice!!
Yes, it's a monitor, it doesn't have a computer in it! It has to be plugged into a computer. Stand-alone tablets tend to be on the pricier end since they have their own system running it. I would recommend an ipad & procreate if it's within the budget. The ipad is pricy, but procreate is just under $20, a one-time purchase, which is amazing compared to some PC software. Just make sure the apple pencil you get has pressure sensitivity - one of the new pens do not have that, and it would make drawing feel very unnatural. Apple came out with this cheaper pen but since it has no pressure sensitivity, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone - it would ruin the drawing experience! Wacom also has some stand-alone tablets but they're even pricier I believe. You could also opt for a pad tablet (no screen), and attach it to a computer and draw that way. That would be the most budget-friendly option. Overall, ipads are so portable and intuitive to use, I would recommend them to any kind of artist & those who can afford them! They last a long time too. www.youtube.com/@thebradcolbow This channel does a lot of tablet reviews, you might find his videos helpful!
In another review, someone reported that the pressure sensitivity wasn't working with CSP and I can´t find anything about CSP on the HUION official page. Would you be so kind as to tell me if this issue is still present or has been resolved?
sad to see that they still didnt solve all the issues of left-handed ppl. it's always a pain, especially having to change the screen upsidedown in the windows settings cause there was no way to JUST turn the tablet screen. it's so frustrating
I am barely into you sketching on the tablet and the tablet is erasing several of your lines and you have to redraw again and even then may not appear. Why is that?
I'd suggest not going with huion / xp-pen, their cursor tracking is not even close to wacom, and gets ridiculously offset whenever you draw with a different angle than you calibrated.
If one is looking for a budget tablet coming from say an intous pen one, what would your recommendation be for a intermediate artist looking to break deeper into digital art? I'm frustrated because I feel Wacom's pricing is really beyond my range in the 16" range, but I would like a 16" tablet. I looked at the new Wacom Movink, but I'm concerned it won't work with my GTX 1050 and I will end up disappointed. I would jump on the cintiq 16 but I question the durability and longevity of the screen, but the pricing is better. FHD in a 16 or at worst a 13" is what I'd be willing to accept, as the CIntiq 16 doesn't have touch, if it did have touch, like the Movink that'd be a plus. thanks for any advice you can offer.
Do not buy from Huion, my kamvas pro 22 crapped out on me within less than 3 years, and I've used it even less than that, support was completely useless to the point that I was better able to identify problems than the minimum wage person reading a pdf about "most common basic problems", spend a little extra and just get a wacom, what I should've done back then...
I have had a Huion Tablet for a long time, (not this one, but a very similar one, I see we don't have the same chords) like a year or so. You must be kidding - every second youtuber artist is left-handed holding a stylus in the most weird ways.

DEFINETELY NEED MORE SELECTION OF FABRIC PATCHES IN THE SHOP. GREAT ART AS ALWAYS. CHEERS
Hey Jel, I have a question do you have any of your own art courses? Cause I'm very interested in learning on animals/ cartoon through your art style
I don't! I used to make tutorials but It's not what I enjoy doing that much anymore.
Got that DrawingWiffWaffles unboxing vid vibe
Love it!
Love your art and review of this tablet!
Thank you, glad to hear it :)
What brushes do you use? The watercolor textures are so beautiful!!

i got the kamvas pro 13 2.5k and i like it :) I do kind of wish I got a 16"
I dont know but maybe you can plug in that double type c usb backwards it might solved your problem about that wire getting stretched that bad. 😁

i have an old huion tablet i hated all the wires needed and the screen issues when using pc is it better?

so nice 😍❤️👍
should i go for the kanvas 13 pro or 16 pro? theres a 218 dollar diffrence does the smaller size matter that much?

How long will the glass last after drawing on it. Do I need to get a screen protector?

Thank you...what editing software are you using It's not photoshop is it ???
She's using Clip Studio Paint it's a great drawing and art app. You can do animation in too if you unlock the it with the full EX version. I love it!

I have this table too and I am left handed. Can you explain me how to flip the screen to have the botoms on the right side ?
thanks
I’m pretty sure it’ll be an option in the driver software.
Heyyy is it a good tablet for vector illustrator art??
Wow, I'm amazed again! But one question, is the cat sitting on the log or leaning or staying by it?
I pictured them standing on the rocks, but I guess they could also be leaning on it!
Do you HAVE to plug this into a computer?? I want to buy for my daughter to practice her sketching, she loves art, just wanting a stand alone tablet

pretty much every drawing tablet has palm rejection since they arent touchscreen!
I really love the cat, i hope cat is friends with traveller fox
can clip studio paint be one time purchased in Huion Kamvas?? or it needs to be per month as same as in the Ipad
There is a perpetual license that you can buy on both windows and macos. The pro version is $50 and the Ex version is $220

The pen seems to be a tad bit laggy, not sure if its clip studio or stroke stabilization, but there is some lag as seen in this video..

Why is 95% of tests with pen pads with people doing cartoons, children motifs.
Why does it matter? The same applies to people doing realism.
