This has always been one of my all time favorite Korn songs, but hearing JD sing it this way, with the raw emotion and quiet sadness, just gave me chills and made me cry. All I can say is WOW. If I ever get lucky enough to see these incredible guys in concert in my lifetime, I would love to hear them play this song. My heroes.
My women home alone and me alone home with nerve damage and PTSD feeling like alone I break Thank you to all members of Korn for your rockin veins music and for helping me too keep going
I loved this interpretation, which makes me feel so sad but happy at the same time, knowing that there is always a way out despite everything bad that happens to us. Love u Jonathan, thank you for this awesome song. Korn 4 ever.
You're right... However in this song the way out is suicide. It's only positive because to many people with depression coming to this conclusion lifts a tremendous weight from their shoulders, and they feel happy/content it's finally over. If you know somebody who's going through depression who suddenly snaps out of it, acts happy and starts getting in touch with people and getting their affairs in order it's probably because they chose to end their misery. I've seen it happen... You have maybe a week or two left, and that's not much time if you don't realize the symptoms; that's the only reason I mention this.
@Khronokai That's a pretty generalized assumption to make. I have really bad depression and I don't get the conclusion of suicide from it. I hear this song and think about all the times I'm behind closed doors, and I break down all alone, with no one there to help me through. Maybe some people jump to that conclusion with this song, and maybe others don't. And some people DO choose to take that way out. Some people also just aren't able to be saved or win the battle. That doesn't mean don't try to save them, but unfortunately some people just are so lost, so set in their depression, that no amount of medication or therapy or psychiatry helps. Depression is a sickness, and a terrible sickness. I have also seen this happen. Sometimes, there's just no way of knowing.
"Pick me up been bleeding too long Right here, right now I'll stop it some how I will make it go away can't be here no more Seems this is the only way I will soon be gone these feelings will be gone these feelings will be gone" I mean... Those are the first few sentences of the original song (including chorus which is repeated numerous times), I could have quoted the whole thing, it's all about a way out and not being here any more. I guess you can interpret that however you want. It's positive, but only because it's finally ending.
I mean, Jonathan Davis wrote it. Ultimately the final interpretation would be up to him, but I would assume if he's still here, he didn't come to that conclusion. I'm not saying your conclusion is wrong, but I am saying that I don't think that conclusion is right every time. Depression is a weird beast to tackle because it presents differently in every one. The only constant is that it's a battle against ending your life, and some people win that battle, and some people lose that battle.
from heavy rock to jammin like bob marley to electronica to grunge korn is the only band to master all genres if they put out a fuckin country album it would probably still kick ass
We were here! I brought my 18 yr old kid to this I drove with my youngest son, 18, to see Disturbed who were also here. He got up and moved away from me to a different seat when I yelled, "I Love You, David!" 😁
I'm finally alive thanks to you guys words can't Express how I feel about korn's music no matter what I say I can't show enough gratitude Thanks for being here thanks for your existence thanks for ur words thanks for everything
Tbh, i really don't like the studio version, and i came here to see if this song is better live than on the studio, and i have to say This live version is FAR BETTER! it's simply amazing!!!! *EDIT:* I don't know what I was thinking back then, this song is beautiful on studio, and while still not my favorite on Untouchables, is a song that definetly stands out, and this live absolutely shows that!
I love that they gave a song like this a try live, given how hard it is to replicate since Head and Munky recorded it with 14-string guitars. I really commend them for it. Some bands wouldn't even bother
DUDE .. they Swap which band closes each night .. No One is stealing Nothing .. Korn is a Badass band & knows how to Use there talents .. No One is taking anything from anyone
jonathan davis is my fucking dream man. it is indescribable what his voice does to me. i feel lucky to have been in the same room with him and to have seen him in concerts. makes me insane. and anyone that thinks korn has lost its touch can listen to this and fuck off. fucking amazing.
Jonathan is a god! Great performance and awsome version of AIB :) Really dig Zac on the keyboard, he did a really well job on this! Is it only me, or does he sound a little bit like Barbossa from 'Pirates of the Caribbean' at the end when he says "we love you all motherfuckers"? :D
@freakonaleash871 Yes, I know that the tattoo on his shoulder says that, but I can't make out the one inside his arm (4:11 Not the best example, but you can tell something's there.)
The best version of " Alone I Break ", sensibility, charmed & sadness.... I love forever!
ti stimo Amigo!
hai espresso il mio medesimo pensiero!.

Fucking awesome live. Their entire set was amazing.
Jonathan Davis is a musical genius.
My women home alone and me alone home with nerve damage and PTSD feeling like alone I break
Thank you to all members of Korn for your rockin veins music and for helping me too keep going
As a follow up, watching this all these years later, I still agree that this was probably the best show I've ever seen.
So awesome, slowed down. More pain and more emotion. I was surprised I liked this so much.
this live version is amazing!
This song is immortal, and fucking devastating ! Alone I Break one of the the best songs of all Time ! Thank you Korn for your existence
I loved this interpretation, which makes me feel so sad but happy at the same time, knowing that there is always a way out despite everything bad that happens to us. Love u Jonathan, thank you for this awesome song. Korn 4 ever.

the way out is suicide, he’s saying😢
I can't name the number of times this band has saved my life. They got me through my rough childhood and still saving me today.
Thank you korn you helped me through some dark times and this tops it
the most beautiful song ever written with the best live performance, heartbreakingly beautiful. I have tears in my eyes every time I hear this song❤
I was at this show, one of my best memories.
I love korn :) Their music has been with me during the good and bad times for a little more than half of my life. Thank you korn.
His voice just keeps getting more and more awsome!
love how korn are making some of their old tunes even more epic! that ending was increadable!
from heavy rock to jammin like bob marley to electronica to grunge korn is the only band to master all genres if they put out a fuckin country album it would probably still kick ass
underrated song is beautiful...not so much people care but it touchs deep to heart
I remember this concert like it was yesterday! wish you would come back to New Brunswick Canada
This was one of the best emotional experience I got to be a part of and witness live when they played this 🤘it was magical emotional ride
The break down at 4:11, that part of the song is always so fucken powerful. That shit just hits me right in the feels.
Love this version. Korn is amazing live.
its been a long time since I have watched a really good music video..
korn made and exceptional work, cant wait to see them live
This song had me break down and cry several times... the words are very relatable and I can feel JD his pain.
🤦♂️
How they didn't make a rock/plugged version of this song in the studio is beyond me. The electric guitar adds so much more to it.
This live version gives me thrills. 💜
This sound like the next sequel of this song, Alone I Break Pt 2, do you think? wow!! amazing!!
Omg that base play is masterclass!!!
This is the best live version of alone I break. The lyrics still make me feel strong in 2018
After all the years of listening to korn they still have their own sound and make everything better. Korn fan for about 13 years:)
Amazing, powerful and soulful.
I was there on the floor In Portland. Korn was so much better then Disturbed.
Я не понимаю слов, но у меня слезы наворачиваются…
I still say that Untouchables is their most complete, consistent and best album. It sounds awesome to this day...
We were here! I brought my 18 yr old kid to this I drove with my youngest son, 18, to see Disturbed who were also here. He got up and moved away from me to a different seat when I yelled, "I Love You, David!" 😁

Glad I got to see them during this tour. Lucked out cause our stop them and Sevendust had extended sets cause Disturbed cancelled last minute lol
I love that they gave a song like this a try live, given how hard it is to replicate since Head and Munky recorded it with 14-string guitars. I really commend them for it. Some bands wouldn't even bother
