THANK YOU ! This worked for my HL-2270DW, cant believe it was something that simple , I was very lost and frustrated, and found you on youtube to give it a shot and it WORKED.
This is a good explanation, I don't know why some other guy's video without a solution came up first in my search, oh well. I figured it out because he noticed the missing white lever, but yours shows how to fix ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. I bent the hook out of paperclip instead of a safety pin, safer, but whatever you have on hand will work.
Thank you for this solution. I actually was able to use the tip of the pin on the surface of the plastic that was exposed from the front. Yours is the best solution if you are able to access the plastic piece when the drawer is removed. I also subscribed and look forward to future videos.

I had the same problem with my Brother HL-3140 printer and tried everything including dismounting the side panel and looking for a defect with the gears, with no luck. It’s just a simple plastic clip and an easy solution!! You got 👍👍 and 🛎️ from me!!

With my Brother HL-2240 the little white plastic item always slipped back in again😞 So I had to correct it very very cautious and had to close the papertray very slowly and calm like a 'burglar'. And I think I will have to correct this little thing with every paperfilling.Thank you again! Very helpful! I was about to give up
That part is very fragile. Try to pull forward. If it works great. But it might go 🔙 again. If it doesn't work, it might be broken (but it's very less likely).

@@sandracuevas4658 Are you using the original toner or aftermarket ? I used original & it prints on a lighter side. Play with the settings menu. There might be an option to make it better, although not too dark.
