#Teletoon
Teletoon was my favourite channel as a kid. I remember staying up late to watch Captain Starr or Ren & Stimpy or Savage Dragon, and I felt like the biggest rebel watching that stuff at age 7 or whatever.
inyojelly ME TOO 😍
and don't forget it also aired Hanna Barbera classics like The Flintstones The Jetsons and Wacky Races along with the smoggies
R.I.P. Teletoon 1997-2022
2023*
My heart, this channel defined such a large part of my childhood. It's sad to see how it turned out but did it ever show up with a bang. Thank you teletoon for all the memories.
This is gold for me to see how these bumpers we're made,i absolutely loved these as a kid
This network is going to have a special place in Nostalgia heaven, I will never forget it, and I will miss it alot even though the network hadn't been watchable in the last 8 years and yet news of it's rebrand still hits hard
It’s really sad Teletoon is shutting down next month, but we can always cherish the memories it gave us.
Teletoon launched just 5 days before I was born. We got a satellite dish shortly after I was born, and this was one of the new channels on it.
You're 25 years old and being Canadian?
@@alalahoward1299 Yes. My 25th birthday is this coming Saturday.
I remember watching Teletoon go live when I was 10 years old
I was 18 years old at the time. (I'm just a *_huge_* cartoon/anime/animation fan to this very day!)
3:37 Sounds like a bit from Seinfeld's music
When Teletoon debuted, my favorite show was Donkey Kong Country.
Teletoon was originally operated under the same auspices as Family Channel, namely under The Family Channel, Inc. (itself majority owned by WIC), but when it became a 50/50 joint venture between Astral Media and Corus Entertainment in 2001, it began operating independently under TELETOON Canada, Inc.
Well, it was owned by Shaw Communications, Nelvana, Cinar and Family Channel.
lol he said Captain Planet instead of Captain Star.
I knew he was saying something wrong.
@3:00 Captain Planet and Captain Star are two very different shows lol.
And the network will be 25 this year.. and the channel has changed dramatically since they were purchased by Corus.
man I'm really disappointed that Teletoon won't do anything for their 20th anniversary, they're not even acknowledging it
That sucks. I think Cartoon Network is barely celebrating their 25th.
yeah I mean even CN did something for their 20th, they finally brought the network to Canada for one thing....but it was ten years too late. Also there was that MAD sketch that celebrated it's 20th by spoofing Once Upon a TIme
iHeartRyanStiles yeah that sucks
They’re content on teletoon is pretty much shit, I kinda blame Cartoon Network for its declining quality and it’s downfall
I don’t see teletoon ever being successful or ever liked ever again like the late 90s and 2000s now those are the years when teletoon was really popular unlike now, I’ve seen the shitty content they have now...
@@ChristopherSobieniak @iHeart Gaming and Whose Line
Here's us hoping that Teletoon will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 19 months' time. 🤞🤞🤞
2:17 THE ADVENTURES OF PADDINGTON BEAR!!!
And that is how TeleToon started
Can’t wait for Captain Star to start playing
Teletoon debuted on my birthday
And so Johnny Test was born. Happy B day TeleToon
No one likes Johnny test anyway.
Not everyone!
Johnny Test was not a 90's series.
@@xHiyami Actually, there are a few people who likes Johnny Test.
I Agree In Here
Today on Teletoon's Sneak Peek in March 19, 1997
1:14 - 1:28 Cuppa Coffee Studios working on Zone 1 for Teletoon.
Can you find footage of the whole process of the planets PLEASE?
DAMN THAT'S COOL

Happy 20th Anniversary, Teletoon!
uolliac first premiered when the channel launched
1:30 was that Animo before being acquired by Toon Boom in 2009
Wouldn't surprise me if it is.
it's a shame you didn't attach the launch countdown to this
Happy birthday Teletoon
0:33 He sounds different, lol.
1:37 WHAAAAAAAT
Interesting sign on of teletoon
1:15 can somebody find footage of cuppa coffee making the idents please
Like everybody says, TeleToon is Canada's Cartoon Network
My second favorite channel after Canal Famille
farewell, teletoon, CN is going to replace you on march 27.
So Cartoon Network is switching to its third unique channel in its relatively short existence.
Much more confusing than how the channel that airs MTV2 used to be MTV.
@@RetroWinnipeg mhm, the already existing CN channel from 2012 will supposedly be replaced with boomerang
@@RetroWinnipeg we most certainly don’t need CN
@@salescobar1266 this is something I would have welcomed if it were the early 2000s and the cartoons were still good (not to mention I was still the recommended viewing age)
1:37 I do remember that but what was the cartoon called? If you know and you told me, Thank you.
that cartoon is a short called: When the Cat Came Back
does anybody know what NFB film that is at 2:03-2:09?
I know what it's called: ''The Cat Came Back'' : )

Thinking Of The Wacky World Of Tex Avery & Tom & Jerry , Tom & Jerry Kids On Teletoon
The Wacky World Of Tex Avery was on French Télétoon if i'm not mistaken.
Teletoon 🤝 TimeWarner
2:27 the weirdest show ever
1. It’s made from Nintendo and Nintendo sent it to Teletoon.
2. It’s related to Donkey Kong.
What a silly! I forgot Teletoon's birthday gift :P. But seriously, i forgot Teletoon's birthday.

Teletoon Presents The Adventure of Rocky & Bullwinkle July 1, 2000
Is that a first brodcast?
This was the first launch of the Teletoon Channel back in 1997.
It was a prelaunch
All the Teletoon shows are good.
Except MSB, Sidekick, Net's Newt, and Scaredy Squirrel.
What about the Teletoon action cartoons?
@@VBaskin2010 Those are better.
Scaredy squirrel is a good show
Don't bash on Ned's Newt. It's one of the best cartoons out there, and it's what made Teletoon famous.
Weren't some of those shows were from YTV?
Morning Planet Afternoon Planet Evening Planet and Night Planet are now Gone in 1998
Why Is There No Sound?
This channel if I know but do not live in Canada
1:07 lol

(Dramatic voice): TELETOON, WHAT HAPPENED TO YOOOU?!? YOUR SHOWS ARE BAD, NOW, EXCEPT FROM STEVEN UNIVERSE!
@sampea CAML
Well, there's _LEGO NINJAGO._ I find it to be one of the better shows that currently air on Teletoon.
@@StevenVillman I'll take a look, then. :-)
It was a good channel when they showed the classic cartoons like Looney Tunes and Flintstones. Reminded me of Saturday morning cartoons on network TV back in the day. Didn't care for the newer cartoons though. But oh well, its a lot better than Cartoon Network, that is complete garbage.
they still air the flintstones but early in the morning
This comment has a surprisingly low amount of hate.
you got that right along with classics like Wacky Races
Funny because this was the Canadian version of Cartoon Network until like 2005.
