    • @gateway8833
      @gateway8833 6 років тому +2

      Jennifer Lawson There are those who do. Mostly it is for hygiene and/or safety. Most that I’ve seen is because the tail hair whips the drivers or gets entangled in the traces. I always believed the horse was designed with a long tail so they can protect themselves. When I was a Teamster or a swamper (assistant driver)I would braid the tails. I think this act is a cruel.

    Lots of horse farms around my area . They start with 2 or 3 on 10 acres ... Then some add another and another and another .... Till the land looks like crap ... You can tell by looking the well managed horse farms .

    Was raised up with horses,makes me wonder what you know to say standing in grass is bad for them.thats bull----.standing in sand and dirt is far more harmful than standing in grass.the horses pick up sand and dirt in their hooves that sometimes will split their hooves if not shoed.not to mention that they have to be sanded often to keep from getting sick.horses are grazing animals,that means grass is best for them not dirt or sand fields.nothing good comes out of dirt pastures.if a person can't provide proper habit for horses they should not own them.

      probably not a horse person, huh? It is not always the best for horses to stand on green gras or numbled down grass. They can actually get really sick. Letting them stand on "dirt" or sand and giving them times on the pasture und feeding hay can prevent certain occurrences ...

  • @yasminmcewen3749

    This is quite SAD! These poor horses! Why would anyone take a horse out of a trailer on a such a busy street and literally steps away from a busy road?- and no load down ramp, then make him go past the super loud truck plus the trailer hitch? And this field of dirt? I am sad for all of these horses.... :(
