Here's the new version of "The Hero" from my album "Introspection." I'm really hoping it's better than the last one. I Gave it everything I had. Really hope you like it! Love you all!
The first version was so raw and it felt like I am watching you discover the hero in you and others while fighting for your life. This sounds like a Hollywood movie about that moment: It's less raw, but much more theatrical - I adore both versions either way ♥
With the previous version, I created a story in which a normal person was subjected to see his city and everything he knew being destroyed without him having the ability to do anything, he felt a sadness and a feeling of uselessness, because he really did not have the ability to do it, because of that and that even though he was begging for help from someone, he rejects any option to run and with his heart still full of fear he decides to charge against the enemy becoming the focus of hope that encourages many more to follow him, managing against all odds to save his city. In this remastering, although the story is still similar, I felt that the man had the ability to fight and defend his city but something froze him with fear and prevented him from acting, just as I felt a much stronger desperation that was imbued with terror and sadness especially in the second chorus, which is when he begins to cry out for a hero with much more strength, but deep down he knows he has the ability to become one. I loved the 2 versions especially because each one made me feel different emotions and now it's time to listen to them a hundred times more.
*"TAKE EVERYTHING!!"* Ohhhh this is my favorite part of both versions of the song. Where I feel like it just absolutely peaks. I also felt like this was a more personal call. A heart felt soulful yell from The Hero. Love it. Love it LOVE LOVEIT!!
Amazing as always! Original version feels to me like you've been there and lived through it, raw and full of passion, traces of regret and finally overcoming yourself. This version feels to me like you're a bard telling the story to the next generation to fortify their hearts and it's more... full? Whole? Sorry I can't properly articulate it. Love both versions and the piano one is a killer!

There's a STRENGTH to your voice that I can't quite describe, and it really brings out the lyrics of "The Hero" in a way that works towards hyping me up! Really doing it justice with that! :D

Pray something can turn this around. My city's in ruins i'm feelings so useless, can even get off of the ground. I'm calling all heroes. Legends and stars. Anyone listening just open your heart. We've gotta do something. I wish i were strong, enough to see, a hero in mee. All these people they need me but fear's got me freezing. I can't even get off the floor. All these minutes are fleeting more damage he's leaving, don't wanna be a coward anymore. I'm trembling, i'm quivering this menace is winning. It's looking like a one sided war. My people are bleeding. They're dying and screaming just lying here watching them burn. I'm calling all hereos, legends and stars. Anyone listening just open your heart. We've gotta something. We're falling apart. Lose everything. I wish i were better. I wish i had strenght. I wish i had anything to prove i was brave.
I have point of view of this song. A vision so clear It's like a movie. And I wish I knew how to animate so I could show what I see in my minds eye. I'd call it: "Winning a losing battle" 0:00 - 1:29 I sit in a corner of a dark room, my eyes stained with tears, staring at a noose and a chair. Clutching my head, I scream in silence. No one could ever hear me anyway. In my head I am under siege by monsters. Demons shrouded in shadow. And they are killing everything about me that makes me who I am. All while the small part of me, the one that wants to do anything it takes to survive, screams out for help. 1:29 - 1:55 I struggle to my feet, finally making my decision. Meanwhile, the torment of my mind nears it's epic conclusion. Buildings burn and the light is reduced to but a spec of what it once was. The small part of me that still wants to live, cowers in fear to the encroaching darkness, while their friends all perish and burn. I stand on the chair and grip the noose. 1:55 - 2:42 We're not done yet. Finally deciding to be brave, the small part of me that wants to live stands to face these demons, shielding what little remains behind them. But the darkness is to strong. As my feet tilt the chair forward, as I close my eyes ready to surrender, as the light inside me lays on its back with its heads up, begging for mercy, the darkness prepares to strike a final blow. Then, a figure with a shield jumps in front to absorb it. 2:42 - 3:20 My eyes shoot open, for the first time in awhile, the light reflecting in my iris's shows some semblance of a will to live. The figure that stood and shielded me against the darkness.. Is a character of my own making. Through story writing, for games, Like Dungeons and dragons. She gifts me her shield just as every single character I have ever made marches from the darkness. Yet their faces all flicker in and out, being replaced with mine even for a moment. With my own self made army, we march into battle. 3:20 - 4:28 The battle is bloody. But I show no signs of surrendering. In my mind, every single character uses their own strengths to fight off the darkness, channeling flames, lightning, wielding maces, war hammers, swords and shields and spears, ripping the shadows to shreds. Meanwhile I fight the same battle on the outside. Throwing the chair I stood on against a wall mimics how one my stronger characters throws a demon. I plunge my fist into the wall, like how another one of my characters strikes a telling blow. 4:28 - 4:44 my silhouette can be seen marching into the light of the world, alongside those who gave me the strength to fight. All while the noose lays crumpled on the ground. I love this song so much.. I wish I could show the world what goes on inside my head when I hear it. But it reminds me that in the face of the darkness I battle every darn day, I am my own strongest ally.. I am the Hero in Me.
I'm not sure if youre still monitoring these comments but i wanted to tell you that this specific song (original version) inspired a story that i want to make into a comic. A young woman in a remote, desert town loves stories about heroes and legends. She'd give all her money to a bard just to keep listening to stories. One day, an ancient evil thing attacks her village. No one can stand up to it and it kills alot of people. Shes able to make a deal with it where she goes away for a year and comes back with a hero that can beat it. She takes a rotten shield and flimsy sword and sets off. On her way she finds 3 heroes, they teach her how to fight in different ways as well as different life lessons while they go on small quests. Unfortunately each hero dies one by one, meaning she failed. She rides back to her town feeling defeated. As she enters her town her people crowd the street watching her. At first she thinks theyre whispering about how she failed but then she starts to hear what theyre actually talking about. They dont recognize her and think she is some legendary warrior. She realizes that all of the stories theyre telling about this warrior are the things she's been doing for the past year. She gsts to her father and he doesnt even recognize her and says "I never imagined that my daughter would send you to save us." She realizes that in her pursuit of a great legend to save her people, she had become one. Then, of course, she slays the ancient evil.

When I listen to this song, it sounds EXACTLY like I picture Jesus crying and praying in the garden before he chose to commit to dying on the cross. Can’t you see it? Jesus is the singer and he’s singing his prayer to his Father and he’s praying for strength because he’s afraid of committing. We all remember that part of the Bible. “The Menace” he’s referring to is his old military General Lucifer who is causing evil to Isreal and all Jesus’s followers across the world. The “Heros and Legends” Jesus is referring to are his fellow loyal Soldiers the Arch Angels who punctually slowly appear surrounding him in their full might as they each bow and shake their heads saying “No Master. We cannot take this cup from you. We cannot walk in your shoes. It has to be you Master. We follow and serve but Only you can save.” Can’t you see it? Jesus praying in the garden. Can’t you see Jesus of Nazareth singing and crying tears then finally crying blood as he sings? Can’t you see him wanting someone to take his cup from him? Yet coming to the realization he’s gotta be The Hero to do it. 💪🏽 His Angels proud that their master has mustered the courage and they continue bowing but they begin smiling now as they bow. The song begins with the guitar at midnight with the Star of David above a sleeping Isreal with the moon shining brightly on Jesus in the Garden. Most of the song Jesus is bent over kneeling crying and singing and praying to his Father. His father watching from Heaven who knows everything is already smiling because he already knows His Son WILL muster up the courage to take “The Cup” and won’t chicken out. So God The Father is already smiling from the very beginning of Jesus’s prayer. When Jesus singing saying “I made a mess of my conscious” which leads to the climax of the song where he says “save this town” within those 2 parts of the lyrics can’t you see Jesus wiping away his tears and taking The Cup? Like he feels silly for not wanting the cup and begins to own his destiny. Like His resolve solidifying. I can see it.
I'm typically in that same boat when it comes to comparing things, but this version is even to me, different. The singing is slightly different because it's re-sung, which becomes obvious when you do exactly the thing you mentioned; listening to them side to side, or if you know what some of the peak spots of the song normally sound like. That and everything is a little more prominent, which I believe may make the remaster sound better in like a car or something. If you want a blindingly obvious difference, listen to the live version of this song. The remaster isn't exactly suppost to be much different than the original.

I have point of view of this song. A vision so clear It's like a movie. And I wish I knew how to animate so I could show what I see in my minds eye.

I sit in a corner of a dark room, my eyes stained with tears, staring at a noose and a chair. Clutching my head, I scream in silence. No one could ever hear me anyway.
In my head I am under siege by monsters. Demons shrouded in shadow. And they are killing everything about me that makes me who I am. All while the small part of me, the one that wants to do anything it takes to survive, screams out for help.
1:29 - 1:55
I struggle to my feet, finally making my decision.
Meanwhile, the torment of my mind nears it's epic conclusion. Buildings burn and the light is reduced to but a spec of what it once was. The small part of me that still wants to live, cowers in fear to the encroaching darkness, while their friends all perish and burn.
I stand on the chair and grip the noose.
1:55 - 2:42
We're not done yet. Finally deciding to be brave, the small part of me that wants to live stands to face these demons, shielding what little remains behind them.
But the darkness is to strong.
As my feet tilt the chair forward, as I close my eyes ready to surrender, as the light inside me lays on its back with its heads up, begging for mercy, the darkness prepares to strike a final blow.
Then, a figure with a shield jumps in front to absorb it.

My eyes shoot open, for the first time in awhile, the light reflecting in my iris's shows some semblance of a will to live.
The figure that stood and shielded me against the darkness.. Is a character of my own making. Through story writing, for games, Like Dungeons and dragons.
She gifts me her shield just as every single character I have ever made marches from the darkness. Yet their faces all flicker in and out, being replaced with mine even for a moment.
With my own self made army, we march into battle.
3:20 - 4:28
The battle is bloody. But I show no signs of surrendering. In my mind, every single character uses their own strengths to fight off the darkness, channeling flames, lightning, wielding maces, war hammers, swords and shields and spears, ripping the shadows to shreds.
Meanwhile I fight the same battle on the outside. Throwing the chair I stood on against a wall mimics how one my stronger characters throws a demon.
I plunge my fist into the wall, like how another one of my characters strikes a telling blow.
4:28 - 4:44
my silhouette can be seen marching into the light of the world, alongside those who gave me the strength to fight. All while the noose lays crumpled on the ground.
I love this song so much.. I wish I could show the world what goes on inside my head when I hear it. But it reminds me that in the face of the darkness I battle every darn day, I am my own strongest ally.. I am the Hero in Me.

I'm not sure if youre still monitoring these comments but i wanted to tell you that this specific song (original version) inspired a story that i want to make into a comic.
A young woman in a remote, desert town loves stories about heroes and legends. She'd give all her money to a bard just to keep listening to stories. One day, an ancient evil thing attacks her village. No one can stand up to it and it kills alot of people. Shes able to make a deal with it where she goes away for a year and comes back with a hero that can beat it.
She takes a rotten shield and flimsy sword and sets off. On her way she finds 3 heroes, they teach her how to fight in different ways as well as different life lessons while they go on small quests. Unfortunately each hero dies one by one, meaning she failed. She rides back to her town feeling defeated.
As she enters her town her people crowd the street watching her. At first she thinks theyre whispering about how she failed but then she starts to hear what theyre actually talking about. They dont recognize her and think she is some legendary warrior. She realizes that all of the stories theyre telling about this warrior are the things she's been doing for the past year. She gsts to her father and he doesnt even recognize her and says "I never imagined that my daughter would send you to save us."
She realizes that in her pursuit of a great legend to save her people, she had become one.
Then, of course, she slays the ancient evil.

When I listen to this song, it sounds EXACTLY like I picture Jesus crying and praying in the garden before he chose to commit to dying on the cross.
Can’t you see it? Jesus is the singer and he’s singing his prayer to his Father and he’s praying for strength because he’s afraid of committing. We all remember that part of the Bible. “The Menace” he’s referring to is his old military General Lucifer who is causing evil to Isreal and all Jesus’s followers across the world.
The “Heros and Legends” Jesus is referring to are his fellow loyal Soldiers the Arch Angels who punctually slowly appear surrounding him in their full might as they each bow and shake their heads saying “No Master. We cannot take this cup from you. We cannot walk in your shoes. It has to be you Master. We follow and serve but Only you can save.”
Can’t you see it? Jesus praying in the garden. He’s singing to himself and to his father. His loyal overpowered unfairly super strong angels refusing to take “His cup” from him instead they bow down and kneel saying it has to be Him. Him. Jesus singing his concerns to his father as he tries to muster the courage to be The Hero.
As the Bible says. We gotta be like Jesus. Christ like.
Can’t you see Jesus of Nazareth singing and crying tears then finally crying blood as he sings? Can’t you see him wanting someone to take his cup from him? Yet coming to the realization he’s gotta be The Hero to do it. 💪🏽
His Angels proud that their master has mustered the courage and they continue bowing but they begin smiling now as they bow.
The song begins with the guitar at midnight with the Star of David above a sleeping Isreal with the moon shining brightly on Jesus in the Garden.
Most of the song Jesus is bent over kneeling crying and singing and praying to his Father.
His father watching from Heaven who knows everything is already smiling because he already knows His Son WILL muster up the courage to take “The Cup” and won’t chicken out. So God The Father is already smiling from the very beginning of Jesus’s prayer.
When Jesus singing saying “I made a mess of my conscious” which leads to the climax of the song where he says “save this town” within those 2 parts of the lyrics can’t you see Jesus wiping away his tears and taking The Cup? Like he feels silly for not wanting the cup and begins to own his destiny. Like His resolve solidifying. I can see it.

I'm typically in that same boat when it comes to comparing things, but this version is even to me, different. The singing is slightly different because it's re-sung, which becomes obvious when you do exactly the thing you mentioned; listening to them side to side, or if you know what some of the peak spots of the song normally sound like. That and everything is a little more prominent, which I believe may make the remaster sound better in like a car or something.
If you want a blindingly obvious difference, listen to the live version of this song. The remaster isn't exactly suppost to be much different than the original.
