    That's wonderful at the academic level but does it translate to the same considerations in the practice?

      Kaylia Bravo I would sure hope so.. medical anthropology can also be used to help train current physicians on health ethics and social justice. It’s used to prepare physicians as humanist healers who see health disparities, social injustices, and and health equities among the different types of patient population they may encounter during their practice.

      As a trained medical anthropologist with fieldwork in Kilimanjaro region, I can tell you that my on the ground findings translated into practical recommendations for policy strategists to fine tune their health recommendations and implementation based on local beliefs, conditions
      and realworld challenges.
      Sure there are theoretical insights, but at the end of the day, these only gain traction if they can be implemented in the real world at some practical level imho.
