Seth strolled down the city's central street. Recently, his company, where he'd been an engineer for nearly 15 years, relocated to a new building. The commute was more challenging due to the increased distance and traffic, but the bright, beautiful building and pleasing cityscape made up for it. The city center was filled with parks, squares, and intellectual inhabitants.
Rather than rushing to his car after work, Seth had begun to unwind by walking the streets. The lively atmosphere with children holding balloons, ice cream in hand and lovely elderly couples made every day feel like a celebration. By the time he reached his car, the evening traffic had usually subsided.
Home had become a more inviting place since Janet moved in. The apartment now smelled of fresh baked goods, homemade meals, and feminine fragrances. Janet was warm, kind, and comforting. Seth found his heart softening in her presence, despite the hardships he'd experienced. Not everyone could endure what had happened to Seth's family.
The man once believed he was no longer capable of strong feelings, yet Janet proved him wrong. She brought quiet, calm joy to his life. Together, they enjoyed watching TV series, going on picnics with friends, and traveling to the sea during the velvet season.
Still, Seth was not entirely free from heavy thoughts. And how could it be otherwise, when it wasn't known to the end what happened to Suzy?!
Young parents with small children, especially girls of 4-5 years old, still attracted Seth's attention. And now he observed one family in particular. A young mother and a father in a bright printed T-shirt and jean shorts. They had two children: a listless, bored-looking eight-year-old boy, and a curious four-year-old girl. Seth noticed the parents appeared slightly weary of their young daughter's incessant questions. The mother responded with one-word answers, while the father at times irritably asked the child to be quiet.
Seth thought to himself how these young parents didn't realize the joy of holding their little daughter's hand and engaging in conversation with her.
Seth would now happily answer a million questions from a four-year-old girl. As the saying goes, we often fail to appreciate what we have.
Years ago, Seth thoroughly enjoyed fatherhood. His daughter Suzy never irritated him as a young father. Perhaps it was because he and his wife, Janet, had longed for a child.
Seth and Janet met at the college, studying related engineering specialties. They attended many of the same lectures. Seth quickly noticed Janet, a beautiful, quiet student with large blue eyes. Being one of the few women in their faculty, Janet stood out with her light wavy hair, wide-open eyes, and refined features.
However, Seth was drawn to her not only because of her beauty but also her sincerity. Unlike other girls, Janet didn't flirt or deceive. She was genuinely passionate about her studies, much like Seth. Any attempts at romance from other students were firmly rejected. When Seth was paired with Janet for a project, their successful teamwork led to friendship, which eventually blossomed into romance.

Nice story. But Janet was unfortunately died of grieve for losing her only child. But it was her fault for let go of her hand in the crowd. The father was fortunate to find her at adult but she was changed. She grew up with a gypsy family. She has a hard time with her husband. But she found happiness in her child who the suzy father found singing reminded him of his lost daughter. Nice ending for the father and suzy.

Beautiful story,it wasn't the mothers fault she described the crowd and how the child got ripped from her grasp, then it was explained how gypsies would kidnap kids that looked like Suzy. Anyone with kids knows that unexpected things happen even to the most attentive parent, that woman suffered to have a child it was just an unfortunate event

The story moved me to the core. Is it possible that gypsies could stay unpunished for kidnapping? That Seth and family had to hide, instead the other way around. They caused Janet's death, they are kidnappers, murderers, stealers... I don't understand the story. It is too unfair for me. I like endings where villains are punished and honest people rewarded with happiness. Here it is not the case Bad gypsies stayed unpunished.

Thank you Brenda for filming this video on a very hot day. The boys, Duke and Earl look so snazzy in their new harness. Jim, I remember when you went to get Duke and Earl a few years back now look at them. Great trainer and Ken, Baron, and Bill helped in the training. I like your straight stalls as the video you did even had Baron laying down taking a nap. Skippy is doing so much better around the horses when you are working them. I remember when you disciplined Skippy when going after Ken's leg. God bless you both and take care in this heat 🙏 ❤🐎🐕🐈‍⬛🐖🐔🐂🐄

This is a story for the “Movies.” It is the first time I can honestly say I thought about how the ending would be the entire time I listened to this brilliant narrator. I didn’t imagine this. Seth’s wife Janet in my imagination did not die, but I must say based on the torture she went through it made sense. Thank you and see you at the cinema! 🦋🩵🦋🩵🦋🩵🦋
