There’s been so much written about Candy Spelling in the media over the years - much of it mean-spirited and unfair. This is a woman who devoted 38 years to supporting her uber-successful husband’s career and raising a family. In a Hollywood world filled with phonies and vultures, Candy Spelling is a hardworking, kind, socially conscious woman who successfully forged an amazing career as a Broadway producer after her husband passed away. I’m thrilled that this interview presents Candy as the person she truly is. That’s all she’s ever wanted.
She’s a fake 2 faced person. She sold all her daughters Dolls in an estate auction and gave away all the money to charity to ease her tax bills. All the while her daughter were close to being broke definitely hurting for money. Later on her son had to move to Oregon to be able to afford a home and away from the the lifestyle he was accustomed to all his life. Her daughter stayed in Hollywood but couldn’t afford it really and got into massive debt. Especially having 6 kids. She kept all the money and left her only 2 kids to hang out to dry. All the while being miss social and doing charity events like a big shot. All the while letting her kids go broke. What kind of mother does that being worth Half a Billion????
Had the pleasure of meeting this very gracious lady backstage at one of her fantastic Broadway productions, "After Midnight." Her later life empowerment is an inspiration, plus the shows she continues to produce, per her knack & vision, are crowd pleasing & stellar!
So true. When the male spouse dies, it is as if you did too. Social invitations dry up, women do not invite you to their family events because you are now "available" and their husbands may be tempted. Charities assume that the Male spouse controlled the donations and they drop the female spouse as being irrelevant. So not true, but that is how it goes. The female has to make new friends and recreate her own lifestyle. Frightening, depressing, and invigorating. After the shock subsides, this must be done if one is to survive.

it's one sided. Tori should be interviewed now with her side.
We didn’t deal with anyone’s “side” in this interview. But I’d be delighted to have Tori on the show.

Volunteering is a great option. There is so much need in the world.
Delightful interview, Candy is a dynamo!
Yes! I just adore her!! So humble and kind. Thank you so much for watching!
She gives a lot to charities.
Yes, she’s very generous
You can’t raise children. Like Prince and princesses and then leave them to fend for themselves!
I guess every super-rich parent eventually figures that out. But I think Candy’s kids are doing very well now.
