Another great video, Russ! Thanks for the details on the installation of your wheel pants... very useful. I can commiserate with "oh, my back..." Just imagine you're twice as old! One question, I presume those are pre-fab wheel pants, but which ones? Who makes them and where does one buy them?
All we have to do is to start calling them wheel shields. Whenever someone says pants, call them silly and say the term is shields. Eventually the term will change.
You shouldn't have installed wheel pants! Much easier and better to install retractable main gear! :) Funny Russ, but now you are faster than my Cozy :(
great video can you make one discussing why you chose this aircraft and why you chose to work with this material?
Great videos Russ! Please make a video about your engine. What engines you considered, cost-benefit, installation, safety, etc Thanks!
👏
I think wheel pants make your plane look cool and that's what aviation is all about...looking cool!
How dare you use my own logic against me! lol
Great Video Russ. However, that tapered fitting on the top of that pop rivet is called a countersink and that quarter turn fastener is called a Dzus.
Always thought they oughta be called skirts.

Glad it was helpful! These pants started from the Cozy MKIV pants that Aerocomposites sells
Well done video Russ! Keep'em coming.
Means a lot, thanks!
If the airplane has a girls name, they should be called wheel panties.
wheel tighty whities
@russ is it possible to communicate with you via email? I would like to ask some questions off-line.
Lovely work Russ. Please ease up on the close-ups :)
Good feedback, thanks Mark, still have a lot to learn about videography

The tool you lost to install the snap rings (looks like pliers) is in your box at ua-cam.com/video/5a06_ueMRug/v-deo.html :-)

I'll report back if I see any speed increases in cruise, I'm skeptical of the ~10kts people say wheel pants give us.
@@russroams I think it is more like 6 or 8 kts, at least it was with my EZ with the little tires. Don't think I ever flew my Cozy without them.
