IBHS Women in STEM: Christina Gropp - Why STEM?

Christina Gropp joined Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety in 2019 as a Public Relations Associate. Prior to joining IBHS, Christina was a broadcast meteorologist, reporter, and digital content producer for WDEF News 12 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She is currently the IBHS science producer.
In addition to other accomplishments in the WDEF newsroom over the last three years, Christina was instrumental in increasing the station’s presence and output on its social media channels. Christina holds a bachelor’s degree in meteorology with honors from The Pennsylvania State University.
