I love your blue nails. I wore that color back in 1974 wearing a navy and white dress, headed to an interview at The Colonial Baking Company. The receptionist, I was later told, called all the women to the window to see this girl with blue nail polish. Haha. I also wore a dark green color at times. They were beautiful. Now being an elderly baby boomer, I no longer feel comfortable wearing colors that draw attention to my arthritic, wrinkled hands. So, wear it proud, Ms Sherry wear it proud.
Using oil to stop the lids from sticking is a really good tip. I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve had to use hot water and a pipe wrench to open glue I haven’t used for a while!
Great tip about the oil! And how excited am I that Reptile is back? 💃💃💃💃💃. And I love the idea to stick your pin inside the plastic little cover! Genius! Thank you! 💕🙋♀️🌴
😲😲😲 wow!!!!!!! I NEVER would have thought of that! And it is so hard to refill those little bottles! And the pin attached to the little cap thingy!!!! You seriously are a genius! Thank you so much for sharing this ❤️ ❤️ ❤️!!!
Wow this is an awesome method. I never thought of using oil on glue tips. I don’t have the glue bottle tips like yours and I’ve been holding off on buying them. Check this out! My husband vapes and buys the liquid juice for his vape. Those bottles have a thin tip. A few days ago he was going to throw away about 20 empty bottles and I got an idea of using them for my projects either put glue or paint. 😎
Thanks for the share. I will get a rust proof pin for my bottles. Swag bag ! How fun, and productive for your person participating in person. I forgot to mention that’s great share too about the oil. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Hi Sherry!! Thanks for the tip. I also put a rubber band around the bottle to tuck that cap in while using the glue It was so annoying to me to keep trying to keep that cap out of the way
Your sister was correct! I actually have those bottles but never use them. They will be coming out of hiding today. Glue bottles are a big deal....we fight them every time we craft!
You are amazing! Thanks for taking the time to share. I have ruined a few bottles of glue by NOT using stainless steel. Anyway, I also want to mention that you have a kind soul to share tips.
Would love a swag bag from you! Perhaps you could put them for sale in your merchandise? Or at least the Posh little glue bottle with your label! Hugs and Thank You for all of your videos!
I highly recommend the small glue bottles. You won’t be disappointed. I don’t use a pin to keep mine from clogging, I use the cover that comes with the bottles. I do know some pins made leave a rust-like residue in the glue.
Wow !that us the best tip I ha e ever seen, I have always wondered where they were getting the small bottles and tips to craft. It will n make crafting so much easier. Thank you so much. Also thanks you for the dollar store info.❤
Real Game-Changer tips for crafters around the globe. Credit to sister Denise’s suggestion, and big thanks to Sherry, for the follow through! 👏 👏 “Oils are good for our bodies, and for glue-necks too!” 😊 Take care. Blessings 💙
So many great tips in this video! Thank you! I’ve seen the needle tip before, but the note about stainless steel and having heads small enough to go into the cap is smart. The oil is a GAME CHANGER! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much for sharing these tips. I went right to the Amazon link and ordered the pins. I have been looking for stainless steel pins in my area with no luck. Also the oil around the tip is brilliant. Look forward to your videos. Blessings from Missouri.
Thank you for the great tips! I have plenty of straight pins but did not know if they were stainless steel or not. Upon doing a google search I found out that stainless steel pins do NOT stick to a magnet! Who knew!
I bought stainless steel pins specifically for my glue bottles. They stick very well to the little round magnet I put on the side of the bottle for the pin.
What a lot of great idea. Knew about the stainless steel pins. I have the small glue bottle but it did get clod. Like the idea about the oil. You’re amazing.
Hi Sherry, I use the small glue bottle but it doesn't have the little plastic holder. I wrap a rubber band around the bottle and slide the pin in while I use the glue. Love the tip on using oil around the caps. Thanks!
Great tip to use a condiment container and oil. I don't like using the glue bottles with the tether but I might try them again using a rubber band to hold it out of the way. I have a pin cushion on my work table just for my stainless steel pins. Works great for keeping up with the pins - keeps the pin clean too.
I also use a pin in my little glue bottles. When the original pin broke, I replaced it with one of my rust-proof pins from my knit & crotchet supplies. It was a perfect fit. I didn't even think that this would mean the pins were stainless steel but that totally makes sense as they are rust-proof. Thanks for mentioning that!
Tks for the pin tip in glue. Now to find stainless steel pins. :) Thank you for the words you say on every uTube. Jesus shines through you and your encouraging words.
I don't use the same type of little plastic bottle as yours. Mine doesn't have the handy little strap on the lid. So I used one of those tiny, flat magnets with adhesive on one side, which I stuck on the side of the glue bottle. It holds the pin while I'm gluing, and doesn't get lost. Your refilling idea with the condiment bottle is excellent.
That is a great tip thank you and I found that if you wrap a rubber band round the bottle your pin can hook in the band and it keeps it out of the way xx
Oh my stars and garters! This is a fantastic tip!!! I use those small bottles, and I have some stainless steel pins...they are going to be put together today. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us all! I hope you have a lovely weekend. Take good care.
Isn't it funny the new uses we find for tools and supplies we work with every day??!!! I've been a digital/graphic artist from back when we worked on "the boards", and since have grown into a technical/conceptual illustrator. I have learned so much from your videos!! The tools and techniques have changed so much over 40 years!!! You are a great teacher!! Keep up the great work!!
Oh my gosh! That is so brilliant! Not having to look for that darned little pin is a game changer! And the oil idea is just as amazing.Thank you so much.
Hi Sherry, I hope that you are keeping well? What a great tip, for transferring glue, from 1 bottle to another, by putting oil around the grooves, of the neck of the bottle. Also, you can use a wide funnel, that will fit inside the neck of the glue bottle. Julia Cassidy from Nottingham England 🇬🇧 ❤
Sherry, I love all your videos. Thanks for everything you do. Love the tip with the oil. I thought about using a stainless steel pin but couldn't find one and would probably stab my self with it. LOL. I find that the plastic tie they use to put the tag on clothing fits perfectly into the tip of the glue bottle. If the tip clogs, I just take the plastic stem and run it through the stainless tip of the glue bottle. I glued a big glitter heart on both sides at the top of the "T" on the stem so I don't lose it. If it gets bent, I just trim it down or replace it.

That would work in the kitchen too, like with honey and molasses.
Oil around top of containers…great idea! Stainless pins inserted into plastic tip cover…brilliant👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks so much Val! 😊
Great tip about the oil! And how excited am I that Reptile is back? 💃💃💃💃💃. And I love the idea to stick your pin inside the plastic little cover! Genius! Thank you! 💕🙋♀️🌴
Yay Terri! Thank you!
I just used the last of my reptile glue and love it. I need to purchase a gallon of it now.
Sherry, these were great tips! Thank you😊😊👍
😲😲😲 wow!!!!!!! I NEVER would have thought of that! And it is so hard to refill those little bottles! And the pin attached to the little cap thingy!!!! You seriously are a genius! Thank you so much for sharing this ❤️ ❤️ ❤️!!!

Very much worth the watch! Brilliant tips! Thank you.
I've never heard of reptile glue! Great tips about those little bottles. Thanks 👍
Super tip on the pin in the lid. I keep a little chapstick for the non-stick glue lids. It too works well.

Put a decorative bead on through the pin to make it easier to pull on and off the glue bottle.
Great tips! Thank you so much. I have the bottles but didn't know what pins to use so I went and ordered a Box to share with my friends

I'm a sewer and I've done the pin thing for years. But I did not know about the oil around the threads of the bottle. Genius! Thank you!
You are so welcome!
I love the oil tip, and putting the pin through the plastic tip. I’m always losing the pin. Thanks.
That is such a great idea. I’ve used non stainless pins, they do rust. Thanks for the tips, links.
Oh my gosh! That is so brilliant! Not having to look for that darned little pin is a game changer! And the oil idea is just as amazing.Thank you so much.

I've used pins but I love all your tips
Thank you for sharing these tips. Awesome
Wow Sherry you gave two great tips. Placing the pin in the rubber & putting oil round the top of ur glue to keep from sticking. TYFS!!! Be blessed!!!
Love your channel! I've not used oil, but have been using vaseline from the dollar store--it has lasted for years!
Thank you for the "good tips!"
Thanks for sharing the pin in the top idea.
You just saved me! My tips always clog. I never thought to use a pin!!! Once again to rocked My crafting world! Thank you!!!
