Debated for several weeks before getting this ladder. It's a monster!!! Suggest only moving/setting up with a capable, strong helper. Using it to clean fans at 24' and install a light fixture at 22'. Well-built. This tutorial was very helpful.
We're glad you're enjoying it! And it is definitely a beast of a ladder! Feel free to tag us on facebook/X/instagram showing you working with your skyscraper! Keep up the great work.
In a 20 foot ceiling you would need the middle size of skyscraper (Model 17), and you may need to clear some items out of the way. Once it's in the room, you can open it, and use two people to tilt it up into place. You can see this video that kind of shows two people setting it up. ua-cam.com/video/iuuw_IROfBI/v-deo.html
Used it in a 25 foot ceiling had to slowly put it up by extending each side up a few rungs at a time. The way they put this up is not feasible with the tallest one in limited space
I can understand putting it up. How would I take it down ? You demonstrate tilting it while extended to drop it. This is not possible in a residential setting. Would I release to top latch and climb down?
Yes, it is rated for one person on each side! And you can go to the third rung from the top. If you go to the very top or the 2nd from the top, there isn't a good way to hold onto anything and you could lose your balance. On the third rung you can have a hand on the top giving you that feeling of stability.
The Skyscraper is definitely the tallest A-frame we have. The biggest one telescopes from 11' to 21' (you could reach up to 24'6"). The next size down goes from 9' to 17'. (The max reach is 20'7").
@@LittleGiantLadders What is telescope? Is it extend from one end to the other? How about A form? Is is only about 10 feet max? I just want to make sure I understand what you say
@@MegaThepow So, the skyscraper is only an A-frame ladder. It is adjustable in height. The tallest one STARTS at 11 feet tall, and extends to 21 feet tall. It's an extremely tall A-frame ladder!
The taller model I would recommend with more than one person. In fact if you can, I'd recommend it on all models. But you can see one person carrying a skyscraper in this lifestyle video: ua-cam.com/video/iuuw_IROfBI/v-deo.html
I need an extension ladder to get on the roof of my buildings. Can I use this ladder by extending one side longer than the other to keep the shorter side vertical and put it right up against the wall?
The Skyscraper can not be leaned on a wall, even in your scenario, unfortunately. You need 3 feet above the roof line as well, to facilitate getting on and off the roof. I would recommend looking at our HyperLite or SumoStance ladders. How high is the roof line?
@@LittleGiantLadders Hi and thank you. My buildings are 15 ft high. I was thinking a 24 ft. extension ladder would be good and I wouldn't need to extend it all the way. I also want one that gets wider at the bottom for more stability
I need to reach a projector in a church sanctuary that is 15 feet in the air, will this ladder allow me to reach eye level or higher than the projector?
Absolutely. There are different sizes of the Skyscraper, but the one that goes from 8' - 15' would give you a max reach of almost 19 feet, so your head would definitely be at eye level or higher than the projector.
The way the Skyscraper is designed is with large flares on each side. Much larger than a typical articulating ladder, and is therefore only designed for the A-frame position (and offset for slopes or getting over stadium seating, and things like that). That being said, we do make 40 foot extension ladders, that use a pulley system to raise and lower the fly section, which is much better for an extremely tall ladder.
Why not demo it going all the way up to highest position? Also, why not strap the legs together to make sure they don’t come apart during transportation?
This is a pretty old video but shows one person setting it up in the highest position - Please check out about 0:43 in: ua-cam.com/video/nUYYD0ivseM/v-deo.html
The model 15 is 899, model 17 is 999, and the model 21 is 1199. Keep in mind that buying the right SkyScraper means you no longer have to do what you would normally have to do - rent scaffolding, rent a lift - every time you need to do maintenance. This is more of an investment that quickly pays for itself. www.littlegiantladders.com/products/skyscraper-adjustable-ladder?variant=42155683283177

I just got mine-you can extend it while it’s vertical. I set it up alone-It’s genius. Going to make me a lot of money.
I have this ladder and it weighs 12 tons.
🤣
How would you take this up and down in a living room of a home with 20' ceilings and not a large warehouse?

@@Michael-cj6ho same way I put it up but reverse
If a 21 foot skyscraper is fully extended can 2 people still work on it simultaneously? Up to which height?

What is the tallest ladder do you have for A type? I need to install a fan two story height (20-21 feet tall) in the middle of the living room? Thanks

why is it designed only for A frame configuration? what happens if you try to fully extend it and use is as a straight ladder or whatever it's called?
