Dimash is a rare talent, so special and probably the only one in our generation. He is making some pretty 'extreme' music and breaking Music impossibility and all rules with his unbelievable vocal techniques and his 6 octaves. He is a God of EXTREME VOCALS. There are emotional performances, technically perfect performances and entertaining performances. Dimash combine all three of them and it makes it as powerful as a nuclear bomb. He is the biggest WOW factor on this planet.

Allow me to recommend a singer whose name is G.E.M. One of her songs has the highest click-through rate among Chinese songs. Her subscriptions to UA-cam are the largest among Chinese singers. Her songs are mostly composed by herself. Every one of her songs is very beautiful. She is the only Asian singer who has appeared on NASA and served as an award-winning guest. She is called the Chinese version of Taylor Swift by American media. Now I would like to recommend her songs, "away" and "goodbye". These two songs are very beautiful and explosive. I believe you will like them, and I look forward to your reaction when you hear them.
I think the thing with Dimash is that at first some people think of him as spectacle. But he's so much more than that. If you think about it having a 6 octave range how boring would it be to just sing really typical songs all the time. I see it as him arranging his songs as like a choir, with each section of the choir e.g. baritone, tenor, alto, soprano so even with variations in pitch it's just like a different section of the choir taking over the melody line. If you get chance to watch a concert of his you'll get more of an idea of him I think. And because he is trained in both classical and contemporary styles it allows this beautiful "neoclassical" as he's described it before, style to emerge. Sure there are some songs that are pure pop or indeed pure opera. You'd be surprised how easily even his opera stuff will actually draw you in. I started out as purely listening to metal and rock and as I got older I branched out into all kinds of genres everything from edm to classical to ska anything. So Dimash not only allows me to enjoy all the genres I love at once but his voice is beautiful throughout his entire range which to me is unique. Usually I find there are certain parts of singers voices I prefer but with him I don't care which octave he picks it's all beautiful. Thank you again for a lovely reaction. As others have said he was really early in his English practice for show must go on but Brian May liked it so hey. I personally don't mind pronunciation "issues" cause being British we have different accents every 10miles down the road. I find it confusing when people focus so much on accent as though everyone who speaks English for example must speak what they view as "the Queen's English"- which isn't even how she speaks haha. Anyway the medley with the three other singers gives you 4 queen songs (snippets) and you can hear his more rocky voice. Personally I love the show must go on, Dimash's version. I grew up listening to Queen and honestly it's one of the best covers I've heard . Even with all the variation to it he manages to keep that desperation and power that Freddie put into it. And considering Freddie mixed a lot of operatic techniques in with his singing I think he'd have loved it too TBH. Я тоже часто просматриваю, но я люблю весь турнир смотреть, это волнение конкурсантов (особенно Димаша), эта взаимная поддержка друг друга, атмосфера, которую замечательно передали режиссер и операторы шоу. Китайские конкурсанты, имхо, сразу поняли, что встретились с экстраординарным явлением по имени Димаш, явлением - один на миллиард. Я думаю, они практически сразу осознали, что Димаш - чемпион и поэтому, мне понятна их очень тонкая ирония по отношению к "победительнице" турнира и уважение к Димашу и его таланту.

FYI, Opera 2 was originally made famous by Ukrainian singer Vitas 8-10 years ago (I think, without looking it up). I'm probably in the minority but I'm not a big fan of "The Show Must Go On". His English has gotten better since that performance and of course, you should watch it. I'd vote for Hello, but it's just me rambling on here lol. Hi from Chicago.

For a western guy the story behind "Opera 2" is pretty much obscured. Roughly about 10 years ago, the Russian singer Vitas sang this song. It was OK for the current pop-culture, but went revered in China. Asian people loved Vitas for his high notes. (The comparison between Dimash and Vitas I leave for you to decide).
And now they hear it from the Voice Master... it's really hard to put into words. Time and emotion mix and the feeling is overwhelming.
Not to forget that Dimash outdid Vitas by two additional key changes 😁

You're right, you do become a little desensitized to his amazingness! But like you said, it's still sensational what he's doing. And actually every song shows something different. If you follow the episodes of Singer you'll watch Queen's The Show Must Go On. His English isn't great, but he still kills it!

Honestly it kind of depends on how picky you are with english pronounciation for which song you should listen to next. Dimash's english was not very good when he sang 'Show Must Go On'... but! he changed the song to his own style and I like it quite a bit. With 'Hello' he has much better english and has added his own style to it as well so that one is loved by many.
Now, I would suggest my personal favourites... 'Daybreak' from Bastau, 'Love is Like a Dream', and the latest masterpiece 'Ogni Pietra'. The last one IS opera... but as always Dimash does it in his own way. Just suuuuper impressive. A truly cool song that I don't think you will be dissapointed with.

Love that you got addicted to reaction videos too ☺️ The concert in New York in October isn't a solo concert, he's just a guest at Igor Krutoy's anniversary show (5-6 songs Krutoy said in a recent interview). There's talk about a solo show in October in NYC aswell but I don't see happening this year. I got tickets for his concert in St. Petersburg in Nov. (I'm in Germany) because I couldn't stand to wait any longer for him to do a concert a little more to the West 😊 Hope you get a chance to see him too. If I win the lottery I'll invite you 😁

Bijou, I haven't seen confirmation yet but I saw speculation that Dimash is going to have a solo concert at Madison Square Garden 3 days away from Igor's 65th Birthday Concert. Thankfully if it does happen there will be videos from it the same way as all of his concerts (case in point his recent Arnau concert that even has a 2 part television version) I am also hoping that the long awaited duet of Dimash & Lara Fabian will happen at Igor's concert as she has a link to him & his songs & her tour has a break at the time of his concert. 🎶👱♀️😃😍
@@shanialover I heard about the solo in New York too, Dimash mentioned in an interview (if it in fact was translated correctly and he wasn't talking about the Krutoy one) and some official guy from the Kazach government talked about how they were in the process of making it happen. It's just weird, the interview with this Kazach official is about 5-6 months old, nothing has been confirmed since then. Instead the St. Petersburg concert was announced out of the blue, even though it's after the Madison Square Garden one and probably easier for him to sell out. Dunno, Dimash's/Dimash's team's communication is not the best in general (in my opinion). We'll see.....I wouldn't mind if nyc happens next spring, then I could go without going broke in 2019 😆 (I got tickets for St. P. and for the Krutoy feat. Dimash Show in Duesseldorf/Germany the day after, so that's a lot of traveling ☺️)

The Show Must Go on is next. This song was made famous by Russian singer Vitas. It's like a takeoff of a Russian folk song hence the costume of a Russian peasant greatcoat that Di is wearing.
Be aware that Di learned the English in Show Must Go On phonetically in just a week so cut him some slack for his pronunciation. His English was limited at this point. Also could you also watch the backstory for episode 4 Autumn Strong on Gloria Wu's YT channel, this song has way more impact if you do. Same for Daididua, Daybreak and Unforgettable Day. Liked your reaction. The best way is to follow Dimash is in order on the singer 2017. I think he did 14 performances on the singer series. Then move on to his concert performances. That way you will appreciate how much he has grown over the past couple of years. Doesn't really matter what order you the songs in, the are all great anyway. Regards Erich

This is a very simple song (music and words). ) But his vocalism is gorgeous. Text in Russian, which Dimash owns at the native level. The song is known in China. The organizers of the competition wanted Dimash to sing it.

Editing, misread, do the Show must go on because it's 2017 singer and Hello is 2018, when he was invited back as an honoured guest performer. Better to watch the earlier stuff first so you can see the growth, rather than watch him and maybe see some regression because they are years apart.
Though to be honest I'll never tire of watching/hearing his old stuff.

He combines classic with other genres and he calls his style neo-classical. Either song would be great but I would lean a little more toward 'Hello'.
