I think the original style that inspired it may have more length and hence more of the barrel length to create the dramatic effect. I loved it and thank you for posting. This style is super cute ! I think if you did barrel roles with the "mullet hair" it would give the style more height an detail like the inspiration photo. Also, maybe put the front barrel roles closer to your hair line. It looked great the way you did it too. Love the hair style inspiration !

I did this hairstyle for Christmas and it came out well. I had to do 4 barrel rolls because of how my head is shaped.
