I just took an hour trying to beat Mr. Vile the greedy crocodile even with save state.... HIW TF IS A KID EVER EXPECTED TO BEAT THAT... That was the most stress Ive had in a game in years!
Something to note about most of these - They're not really *hard* as they can be more tricky than hard minus the Rusty Bucket Bay Propellers one. Also one thing about the Bubblegloop Swamp timed jiggy, what about the 2nd one near Mumbo's Hut? I think that's infinitely worse than the first one.
I think the 2nd timed jiggy near Mumbo's skull is harder than the longer routed one. Yes the path is quite short but your time limit is too short to carefully walk through as the very narrow platform will cause you to slip off. Even worse is if you do fall off it takes a long time to get back, you hit the water infested with piranhas and if you don't flutter with good timing you'll take fall damage. You need to either have great control over your movement going fast or attempt to jump most of your route which is risky and dangerous either way.
And there is something very unfair about this game, the time counter starts to decrease before you take back control of the characters, it steals you a few seconds, very unfair.
Nice, it's not to bad as long as you have the full health bar. LOL the whole time you are saying "This code better not be 20 numbers long or else I'm screwed...
Brian Mead I did that but the kicker was I found the code early and didn't think anything of the code and it was until *after* I got the jiggy that I realised that I could use that code to save me some honey
It’s Easier to get into the ziggurat flying. Just activate door switch and fall CAREFULLY onto the flight pad at the bottom of the quicksand pit around the pyramid and fly out and into the ziggurat. Btw the real impossible timer Jiggy in the swamp is not the one you showed but the one in the labyrinth.
I really want Banjo Threeie, and for it to actually look and feel like the first two put together with all the best aspects from each, first and second game 😢💞
Another difficult thing about Rusty Bucket Bay is in the engine room, the fan blades are such a hazard they can knock you off course and if people are playing on the N64 version, you start your note count ALL OVER AGAIN. Also, if you played the games before, you should consider doing top 10 hardest Banjo Tooie jiggies and top 10 hardest Banjo Kazooie Nuts & Bolts jiggy Challenges. My list definitely has a lot of obvious picks for Nuts & Bolts as well as Tooie. Love Banjo Kazooie - took me a while to figure out Rusty Bucket Bay and the other levels but now the whole game is stuck in my head for me to clear - nice video! ❤️. My opinions would definitely rely on yours. The rage and frustration these jiggies took!
The most frustrating part about Mr. Vile is the camera. I can't tell you how many times I've wasted precious time looking for the right creature to eat all while he's programmed to go straight to the right one. PS The pattern for level 3 is the creatures switch every 10 seconds on the 0 (50, 40, 30 etc). Makes it slightly easier knowing that
If any of you need help with the engine room jiggy- jump through the propellers while riding on Kazooie instead of just trying to jump through as banjo. SOOOOO much easier, I haven’t died in there since I’ve started doing that.
The number 2 spot for gobis valley jiggy was hard to do it by running up but then after some digging around, learned of a much easier way to get it. There is a flight pad in the moat around sandybutts tomb. There’s plenty of time to run down there and use the flight pad to fly up to the door before it closes. I would move mr vile up to number two due to the fact that losing to him makes him bite you and take out two honeycombs. And leaving to refill health or avoid his bite resets the minigame and gotta start back at level one.
Mr Vile is the worst one IMO. It's purely luck based, you just gotta get lucky being near where the worms you need spawn instead of in front of Vile. I would be winning with 3 seconds to go and no worms near me and then Vile catches up to tie or get more, and a tie is a loss. That's the last jiggy I'll get anytime I play this game now. Hate it hate it hate it hate it.
When I was little the whole level scared me, traveling to the bottom to free Clanker scared me even more. I think finally a friend told me what to do but I never explored down there willingly 😆
Hey everyone for number 2 there's an easier way. Hit the platform and then just have red feathers, sink to the bottom there is a red flying platform. You'll have more time with 7 sec to spare.
Raising Clanker was the bane of my existence as a kid. My friend told me that I had to swim through every loop on the chain to do it. This was in the days of dial up internet and naturally 11 year old me didn’t figure out that you only needed to swim through the key three times! It took me years and endless hours to figure that out!
Nah its easy if you get a rhythm going... or you could just use the glitch 😂 hit one chomper walk away and face the camera away. Free jiggy 😂😂 (speedrun strat)
@@charmedrools1 it’s not just that, but if you’re bad at flying then you’ll have troubles going through the star 3 times in the time limit. It took me quite a few attempts to get this jiggy on my first play through.
@@frostbite5607 the star is easy to get? The easiest bit? The only reason youd struggle is if you dont use the bank technique. . Wait you dont hold down the R button when you're flying do you? 🙃 makes you turn WAAAAY sharper. Then it's just simple altitude control.
u don't need the fast shoes to get the freezy peak jiggy. just keep hitting pause and run normally with Kazooie. It slows down the timer by doing that.
Other than the obvious one I would have put Mr. Vile as #1. Those were the only really hard ones in the game imo. (And I consider myself a mediocre player) That being said, you did make good choices for the remaining jiggies in the game.
ive beat this game a few times, the mr vile mini game is what scares me i never know if imma get it first try 2nd try ot be stuck there trying over and over. i used to do it without speed shoes but now i would opt to come back and use speed shoes.
The hardest jiggy by far for me was the one right at the top of Click Clock Woods. How the hell are you meant to know anything is up there, and because of the FOV when youre a bee, its so difficult to know if you have truly checked every possible location for it. Its the only jiggy I had to look up how to get. Nightmare.
I personally think Bubblegloop Swamp is one of the hardest levels. Obviously Rusty Bucket Bay and Click Clock Wood take the cake for the actual hardest but damn... Bubblegloop Swamp is a test man... Between Mr Vile, the Tip Tup Choir, the gold flibbits, navigating the shock jump huts and then the two timed jiggies that require speed and precision or you fall have to start again it's a tough level...
I can't remember if I mentioned the Tip Tup choir or not in this video, but when I am doing my very light speed runs of this game, that is probably the jiggy I dread the most...
Running out of lives was never a problem because 1-ups respawn. The problem was dying and losing all your notes so you have to restart from scratch. I learned that the hard way when I went to the engine room for the first time with around 80 notes that took me an hour to find and I imagine you already know what happened.
elin111 Yea, i know exactly what happened... That engine room is really unforgiving, even if you know exactly what you are doing, you can easily die in an instant
Something to add about number 8 - not sure if it was just me and my siblings, plus our cousins being really dumb, but we couldn't work out how to destroy the cobweb covering the pit that the flight pad appears in. So we couldn't get this jiggy for ages!!!
I agree with those choices I swear I hated those fucking Propellers and engine room I was always completing them FIRST before I collect more than 40 notes. By the way have you done Hardest honeycombs pieces to get? There is one that is very hard that new players always die after getting it having almost 85 notes
With the pyramid jiggy, I had one attempt where I made it in just as the timer hit zero but instead of loading the room Banjo was dropped through the map to his death.
Thank you for saying that. I don't deserve more subs though, I am unreliable on my upload schedule. I would like to fix that and I would love to 'earn' more subscriber.
Here's a tip for playing through Banjo Kazooie any time now. Once you hit Treasure Trove Cove, go to the sand castle and complete it. Hit CHEAT then GIVE THE BEAR LOTS OF AIR. Infinite air even in Rusty Bucket Bay. No reason to make future playthroughs stressful anymore
I feel like anything with a timer in this game was really strict especially when played by kids. Pretty hard for most kids to achieve most challenges within the very short time limit that doesn't allowed for errors (this includes air bubble timer) or speed boots challenges.
When I was a about 16 years old I finished this game twice even without knowing English so good at all. Now I am 41 and I am helping with that to my 5 years old son again. He alway asking for help with something. Banjo is great and nice game. N64 = 1/10 my childhood😙
Rusty bucket bay is one of the hardest levels out there and probably the hardest banjo level ever. The amount of deaths to little things and the oil in that level so difficult
I actually had way less trouble with Rusty Bucket Bay than I thought I would. I was thinking it would be really painful, but I managed to do it with only 1 or 2 deaths (mainly because of the rotating gears in the beginning). Should I be scared of myself?
I honestly find Vile’s Jiggy the hardest in the games, harder than any in Tooie Jiggy too, excluding Canary Mary. It’s the only challenge in the game I can’t beat 100% of the time, without the turbo trainers. I got the game’s platforming down perfectly, but that Jiggy has so much rubber-band and RNG-based difficulty that it makes Bubble Gloop Swamp the hardest level in terms of a speed-running session.
Tip top specifically almost killed me my first try revisiting Kazooie as an adult. Could see my 10 yr old self grabbing piece of paper or do it after getting all notes my N64
I think you kind of missed the point of Sir Slushes. They aren't just some random enemy in the level like crabs were in treasure trove cove or those slug things in Clanker's Cavern, they were the only non-boss enemy that attacked you with range and whose locations were fixed, they were practically level hazards, and could only be killed a specific way. They were obviously a special enemy, more like a series of targets you had to hit that hit back. Some of these others were just you having like affordance blindness or something. Anyway, the increased difficulty of some of these jiggies and other such collectibles in collect-a-thon games is probably why Mario Odyssey made certain moons clustered together, more proportionate reward for effort to collect them.
Even the hardest jiggies in Banjo Kazooie look like child's play compared to the hardest jiggies in Banjo Tooie. Especially in levels like Grunty's Industries.
Basically all rusty bucket bay jiggys cuz in all levels there are only 10 jiggys.... but yeh i agree that level was a pain in the arse Especially the jinjo and the jiggy behind these fan things (the ones outside the boat)
Maybe the reason you put the Jiggy that is behind the propellers is because it might be easy when your pause buffering and doing that gives you extra time!
Definitely Rusty Bucket Bay is the hardest, but I would say Click Clock Wood(in the terms of 10 jiggy levels) is the best level to wrap the game up on. It feels like a "not so long" journeys end :)
I agree with none of your list except 2 or 3, but great video nonetheless! I’d say Click Clock Wood’s jiggies should make up that list because we end up falling a lot while playing that stage
Makes sense, Click Clock wood is the last level after all :) As a kid, Mad Monster Mansion was my hardest level to beat, but as an adult, I can beat that level in 20 minutes or so. The difficulties change with age I guess
Lowkey freeking clanker was the only jiggy i couldn't get as a kid, had to have my best friend (and Banjo expert) come over to my house to do it for me 😂 . First time i got it and 100%ed the game i think i was probably 11 or 12? . . . Duuude a memory just unlocked when you mentioned bubblegloop swap/tiptups choir. Mr Vile, the red crocodile, i had to have my biv brother do that one for me and i remember watchinv him rage for like 30 minutes trying to get it for me 😂
I’ve been playing this game for the first time and just reached rusty bucket bay. I spent one hour trying to get the honorable mention jiggy and still never did. I guess I just won’t beat the game then
I think the frame rate at the time of playing may have something to do with it. I always had a lot of trouble on the N64, but not so much on the XBOX One
@@ZachFinchey I mean it's one of the trickiest Jiggies to obtain but I usually get it without too much error. I can see how it can be more frustrating on N64 where the musical notes reset after each game over.
Bro. I agree with the Clanker's Cavern. I remembered playing Banjo Kazooie for the first time and my dad and I can't pass that level for like a year??? So we ended up not playing Banjo Kazooie lmao. But after I figure it out, bro I'm the happiest kid that time. So proud to finish the game without looking for it on the internet. Spent numerous time going back to each world trying to look for some secrets (the key in freezezy peak made me crazy). Those were the good old days, bro. I am sure my dad enjoyed this game more than I do 😅 I remember him speedrunning this game almost everyday until our n64 broke 😂 Last week i managed to find a n64 console and bought it right away. Planning to play it with my dad as a 23 y.o dude now 😂 now I am hunting and trying to find Banjo Tooie because we never had a chance to play that one...
That's a fantastic memory you share with your dad. These old N64 games are memory factories. Glad to hear you finally managed to beat that game! Good luck with Banjo-Tooie!
One of the hardest jiggies for me is the feeding the crocs eggs because u have to go everywhere on the map and i accidentally died i have to restart Another one thats mildly frustrating is the piano in MMM because darn is it slow but easy, id put it also as an honorable mention And my 1# spot has to be THE DAMN EAGLE IN CLICK CLOCK WOODS, you dont have to do it once, but 3 times, 1 to hatch the egg and 4 for gettin the jiggy! I dont know how many times i fell having to give all the worms to the eagle, but boy it was a pain in the rear.
As I said to @CassetteCobra ... Why does he have a blowhole then? I suppose he also has gills... Either way, it is just a game and a video that shouldn't be taken so seriously :)
How is the eagle one from the clock tower not on this list? The platforming is ridiculously frustrating and very easy to make a mistake. And when you do, you can lose several honeycombs to fall damage. I spent far longer on that jiggly than any of the others in the game.
I think it's probably just the way my mind works, but the button ones in Rusty Bucket Bay was one of the easiest ones for me.... but then again, I love puzzles lol.
I have started making videos again :D I took about a month long hiatus from UA-cam through the month of August. When i do make it, which will be really soon, it will show up on my other channel "Finchezda Productions" I will try having it done really soon.

I rushed to judgement, i was talking about Banjo Tooie canary
o ye that one took me a few tries.
I finally realized to take my frikn time, no jumping, no talon trot, just walk it. It's much easier that way 😅

Go to the left corner and the jump and roll button and you’ll clip through
I honestly find Vile’s Jiggy the hardest in the games, harder than any in Tooie Jiggy too, excluding Canary Mary.
#04 never gave me any trouble, but the stuff in the engine room is just cruel.
Free clanker is the hardrst jiggy (in my OPINION) due the water controls to be very bad
9:28 I said it 5 times without messing up
I've NEVER been able to beat Mr. Vile. Never
Did you go back after you get the speed shoes?
Yes, someone who knows how to make top ten lists efficiently. Well done.
Even the hardest jiggies in Banjo Kazooie look like child's play compared to the hardest jiggies in Banjo Tooie. Especially in levels like Grunty's Industries.
Top 10 rusty bucket bay's hardest jiggys
Basically all rusty bucket bay jiggys cuz in all levels there are only 10 jiggys.... but yeh i agree that level was a pain in the arse
Especially the jinjo and the jiggy behind these fan things (the ones outside the boat)
Number 2 I did it first try
+Elizabeth Law nice!
Elizabeth Law nice
Maybe the reason you put the Jiggy that is behind the propellers is because it might be easy when your pause buffering and doing that gives you extra time!
Cool video, you should do more videos like this one
Thank you for the feedback :) I want to make more top tens and I am loving any feedback!
Thanks great commentary and editing
Am I the only one who thinks Rusty Bucket Bay should've been the last level instead of Click Clock Wood? Actually, which level do you think is harder?
Definitely Rusty Bucket Bay is the hardest, but I would say Click Clock Wood(in the terms of 10 jiggy levels) is the best level to wrap the game up on. It feels like a "not so long" journeys end :)
I would have replaced #10 or #9 with the maze from Gobi's Valley or the acorn collecting from Click Clock Wood
I remember when I first released clanker I thought he would end up becoming a boss fight.
7:33 Wait what? I never knew about that tiny opening right there. I just flew in the same way I came 😅
Lowkey freeking clanker was the only jiggy i couldn't get as a kid, had to have my best friend (and Banjo expert) come over to my house to do it for me 😂
.
First time i got it and 100%ed the game i think i was probably 11 or 12?

Duuude a memory just unlocked when you mentioned bubblegloop swap/tiptups choir. Mr Vile, the red crocodile, i had to have my biv brother do that one for me and i remember watchinv him rage for like 30 minutes trying to get it for me 😂
nice list
ReDToonKirby thanks a lot, I'm really glad you enjoyed it :)
I’ve been playing this game for the first time and just reached rusty bucket bay. I spent one hour trying to get the honorable mention jiggy and still never did. I guess I just won’t beat the game then
Never found that number on the side of the ship I just decided to go through trial and error took me like maby 5 minutes probrably less
The fan blades were no trouble for me to time and jump through
I think the frame rate at the time of playing may have something to do with it. I always had a lot of trouble on the N64, but not so much on the XBOX One
@@ZachFinchey I mean it's one of the trickiest Jiggies to obtain but I usually get it without too much error. I can see how it can be more frustrating on N64 where the musical notes reset after each game over.
Right.
I am sure my dad enjoyed this game more than I do 😅 I remember him speedrunning this game almost everyday until our n64 broke 😂
Last week i managed to find a n64 console and bought it right away.
One of the hardest jiggies for me is the feeding the crocs eggs because u have to go everywhere on the map and i accidentally died i have to restart
Another one thats mildly frustrating is the piano in MMM because darn is it slow but easy, id put it also as an honorable mention
And my 1# spot has to be THE DAMN EAGLE IN CLICK CLOCK WOODS, you dont have to do it once, but 3 times, 1 to hatch the egg and 4 for gettin the jiggy! I dont know how many times i fell having to give all the worms to the eagle, but boy it was a pain in the rear.
8:05 That looks NOTHING like a killer whale/orca, more like a big metallic shark. Perhaps a reference to the prehistoric giant shark megalodon.🦈
As I said to @CassetteCobra ... Why does he have a blowhole then? I suppose he also has gills... Either way, it is just a game and a video that shouldn't be taken so seriously :)
@@ZachFinchey And also, his tail fin is positioned vertically, like with other fish, while the whales' tail fin is horizontal.
How is the eagle one from the clock tower not on this list? The platforming is ridiculously frustrating and very easy to make a mistake. And when you do, you can lose several honeycombs to fall damage. I spent far longer on that jiggly than any of the others in the game.
Swimming controls are bad bruh like to agree
I got the rusty bucket bay propeller jiggy on my first try
Probably the hardest was vile took me a ton of tries
I think it's probably just the way my mind works, but the button ones in Rusty Bucket Bay was one of the easiest ones for me.... but then again, I love puzzles lol.
When will you do that top 10 of Super Mario 64?
I have started making videos again :D I took about a month long hiatus from UA-cam through the month of August. When i do make it, which will be really soon, it will show up on my other channel "Finchezda Productions" I will try having it done really soon.
Not saying it is the hardest but Mr Vile is the one I always dread the most
Freeing Clanker is actually one of the easiest jiggys in Clankers Cavern because most of the others require you to free him and do something else
A top ten hardest bk jiggies video sounds just like a rusty bucket bay run through guide
You forgot the jiggy on the top of the entrance to Mumbo's Mountain
The only ones I would say are tricky is the "Mr Vile" eating challenge in Bubblegoop Swamp and the Jiggy in propellers in Rusty Bucket Bay.
Awesome! Can you do easiest super Mario 64 stars?
I can do that. the top 10 videos are released on my other channel now though. it is called "finchezda productions" go check that channel out if you liked the top 10. I'm releasing them there. not on this channel anymore.
I Remember at my First playthrough, snorkel was The one jiggy I missed
Same for me, I didn't even know he existed until the gruntys furnace game, and the credit roll at the end
I was able to obtain the jiggies in the honorable mention, #10, #9, #4, #2, & #1 on my first try
I just started playing this game and I think I may have accidentally skipped clankers cavern.
Wait. Freezeasy peak is before gobis Valley? I completed gobis valley before the peak 🤣
Fighting the witch is probably the toughest
I was today years old when I learned that you need to kill all the Mr. Slushes to get that final jiggy for Freezeezy Peak.
Glad I could help :)
Nice Video! But what about the 2 Races against the Icebear?
Those were easy
I'm surprised this wasn't all rusty bucket bay
