I still remember when my grandmother, she was pretty art for being an old woman with dementia, started to teach me this dance...one day a call her asking "do you know Charleston" and proudly "yes!".
I was pretty shocked at that time, she was quite the same age of Audrey Hepburn and when she was young her look was really the same in fact my name is Sabrina...I didn' t even thought in the mid of fifties they were dancing this in Italy so she started proudly to teach me this.
This video is pretty more realistic than the most here around UA-cam...they mostly didn't weirdo moviments.
    Well work.

Played SING SING SING so many times and loved it. I fly the old warbirds from to time and hope someday to dance with my wife at a hangar dance. Keep up this dance and these traditions. Love it Long time Glenn Miller and Gene Krupa fan.

The music is Sing Sing Sing, written by Louis Prima, sounds like Benny Goodman's version. Not 1940's dance steps though Strictly Jitterbug, West Midlands

Fantastic dancing! I believe the song itself was originally written in 1920 so its more of a big band sound than jazz. But very fun to watch you guys dance it! :)

Big Band is jazz. Well, one of the manifestations of jazz.
The song used here, Sing Sing Sing, is from 1936 (originally by Louis Prima, here by Benny Goodman in 1937).
The song called "The Charleston" (not used in this video) was from 1923.

Interesting that the fact that they were dancing Charleston from 1920s, while the music is from 1940s (sing sing sing), and those 2 girls wearing a red dress and cardigan kind of remind me of 1950s silhouette, Christian dior.

Technically there was a new wave of Charleston during mid 1950...my grandmother danced Charleston a lot for example
