- The Supermarine Spitfire Mk IXc was the premier interceptor of the series used by the Royal Air Force during WWII. Based on the lessons learned during the Battle of Britain, what set the MK IXc apart was its ability to match the startling performance of the Focke-Wulf Fw-190 unleashed by the Luftwaffe. So inspired by the manoeuvrability, reliability and top speed performance of the Mk IXc, Spitfire pilots even tangled with invading Me-262 jets where their 20mm cannons proved to be a tremendous asset.

I have a magazine version of one of these i built. Obviously not that good. I just need an engine and ill pop down to my local club. can you recommend anything?
What exactly to you mean by a magazine version? if you can let us have a bit more information we might be able to offer a more informed answer.
It is a deagostini version. Came out several years ago. Made from balsa.
Any two-stroke engine from a .40 (6.5cc) to .46 (7.6cc) should work for you
Thats great. Ill take a look at your range.
